*-Using Kafenated.net (KKB's site) and the database of teams i have. There are some teams between WWR100-150 that could've possibly snuck in here that I dont know about. We'll know for sure tomorrow, but here it goes.

Congrats to smallwhirled on an incredible season, nothing wrong with 2nd place! and the $500 you get with that.

Congrats to jumpball on an INSANE late season run.

Congrats to the 31 gurupies (that I know of) who finished in the Top 100: albo222, Balrog, beastiemiked, beebop, blockaa, cancermoon, Caper, darkside, Dave R, deepsnapper, DMAN, FloodCity Johnnies, Guru, Jackie Robinson, Jevon Kearse, jimmy, johnglad, jumpball, Mark L, mrbig, Peter N., Rand al'Thor, Ref, rockfish, Slackjawed Yokel, smallwhirled, smartone, Teddybears, Tosh, Twarpy (and me)

Congrats to the 7 gurupies who managed to land 2 or more teams in the top 100: beastiemiked, darkside (3), mrbig, deepsnapper, jimmy (3), rockfish (3), smallwhirled.

Great Job guys. Also congrats to all gurupies who won their division and get their money back for buying the teams.

I'm not an official gurupie (someday I'll stop playing student and have enough money to help support this page). Anyway, I have certainly benefitted a lot from this webpage the past couple years. Each of my 5 smallworld seasons I have improved. Congrats to everyone and good luck scouting for next year!

WOW, what an ending, I feel your pain SW. None the less a great season for you.
And Jumpball as well, be proud, it's a tough battle.

There is alot of this commununity sprinkled throughout the top 100, well done to all.

Here's hoping that TSN pays out as deep as say wwr 110 due to duplicate teams :) I was 94 going into today, but chose Oswalt over Halladay on that team :(

Congrats to all those who made it!

Thanks, but I still have some associated guilt with not paying. Plus I've never offered any grand advice on nearly the scale of some gurupies. Someday though...

Only if the top 100 include 50 duplicate teams & 30 Managers from Quebec would I be able to sneak into the top 100 for prize purposes.

Thanks to all the Gurupies who shared information over the year. It helped me win 2 Divisions. Most useful tool for me were the "Pitcher Price Changes - What to expect" threads. They were very helpful at the stage when we were trying to increase roster value.

OhNoooooooo!!! I had 2 teams fall out of the top 100 on the last day!!!
I still consider the year a success as I was able to win all 3 of my divisions with WWR's of 115,119,and 104.
Thanks to everyone, especially KrazyKoalaBears, for all their useful posts throughout the season.

WWR 111 :P I don't think I'll make the final cut. albo22, your 104 should get you an extra $25 if past history is any guide (I have won prizes due to duplicate teams in the Top 100). We already know about enough duplicate teams to bump you up far enough.

I think you guys will get in, i have 2 teams and several other have 2 teams in the top 100, i'd say atleast 20 will drop out of contention.

In this post I am listed at #99 on the chart instead of my #104 WWR.
Do you figure this is taking into account duplicate teams in the top 100?

Thanks LW. Let's tell it like it is. I choked. I stunk it up. I let it get away. I have no one to blame but myself--well maybe I can blame J a little ;). I'd like to blame it on how I was rolling along and changed everything up with the inpending strike. But I still bounced up to 6 less than 2 weeks ago and was 10th on wed or thurs this past week. I just didn't do well and made horrible selections. That's the only way to describe bombing like I did. Oh well. I am so glad this season is over. I am more than burned out. I am staying away from TSN for awhile. Haven't decided if I will play hoops or not with all my traveling and gone over 70 days last year during the season.

I do want to give mad props to SW and jb (jumpball). JB said his strategy was to assume no strike and that and his stash of PTs moved him right on past everyone. In hindsight, that was the best strategy of all!!!

A special shout out to the 6 gurupie teams in the top 10!!! Props to the GMD players and teams who stuck it out all year and gave us added entertainment. And most of all no matter how you finished, thanks for adding to the enjoyment of the season!

If only there was a strike?!?!

The sad thing is I lost the game with my hitters. There were about 5 hitters in the past month that have been huge for 84 Mets at times when I didn't have that particular hitter. The TRV edge played a big role in not allowing me to match him, and that's why I lost. But, hey, 2nd is not bad at all. Also, not winning makes me want to play the other TSN games even more at the moment.

Props to everyone on these boards who post the tools, news, and strategies. Thanks to all the guys that run the standings because they are very useful and make the game more fun. Thanks to Guru for the site that most of us visit almost everyday.

I guess there's always next year...

albo - 2 teams that I did not have in my database got in at 99 & 100, also, teams ranked 101, 102, 103 currently are not in my database, so I could not compute their points. Sorry for getting yours and anyone else's hopes up :(

You'll probably still get the $25 though (again, if they do what they did in the past with managers with more than one team in there).

PS - Sorry ref, you should know better than to listen to me by now :)

J, even though I intentionally went against you because you were telling me Giles, the guy I went with in Bernie was even worse. But the guy I almost went with in Beltran did well, and even Sosa whom I intially considered even went yard--but it really doesn't matter. Oswalt sealed my fate, but it wasn't just the one day, I stunk it up.

I'll add my congrats to SW here (it's in the standings thread too), and also to all the other top 100 managers. A great gurupie showing as usual!

And I also have to hand it to Ira . . . he said that $85M would be the magic TRV. I had two teams go over that number and both won their division. The other team was under and not even close. You are amazing Ira.

I just wanted to add my thanks. I've leared so much from you guys. Smallwhirled, I wish you were managing the blue jays, you were awesome at this game, as was jumpball of course. The ability you guys have at conserving trades while still building a huge RV is inspiring.

My team *Tinkers2Evers2Chance* fell to about 1700 wwr at one point, plus I was booted from rfs' GMD team, and I couldn't save any trades. And my dog bit me. I almost lost all faith.

But then I made a risky move and dropped out of 3HM for a week and picked up Mulder and Zito and then beefed up my outfield. Suddenly, I had 400 and 500 point nights back to back and my team finally developed some consistency on a nightly basis. Ultimately, getting to the top 100 wasn't that difficult, but staying there was brutal (my hair loss can attest to that). I almost can't imagine the pressure of being in the top 10. I guess I can only dream.
