AL East: Red Sox AL Central: Twins AL West: Rangers AL Wild Card: Yankees
NL East: Phillies NL Central: Brewers NL West: Rockies NL WC: Marlins
WS: Phillies vs Red Sox with Phillies in 5. :(
AL MVP: Adrian Gonzalez (he's gonna love fenways dimensions) NL MVP: Albert Pujols
AL Cy Young: I honestly have no feeling here so will just go with CC Sabathia NL Cy Young: More dominance from Roy Hallady
Phillies rotation will have 2 18 game winners and 2 15 game winners.
AL wins the Allstar game.
Jayson Werth is hated in DC because he doesn't produce nearly what he's being paid, though he'll have a decent season.

The league that wins the all-star game will not play more games at home in the world series. Just like it's been every year since they started this rule.

Prediction: B7 will troll Prediction thread with his tired "no such thing as home field advantage" tripe.
Oh, look, I'm one-for-one!

Great One #13
I'd say my AL East rankings were probably influenced by some bias. A more objective version of me might put Boston in 1st and give the Yankees the WC. And I do like mixing it up as well.
Re Philly, I've seen way too many Yankee teams that IMO appeared just as dominant on paper fall short of expectations. I have a big hunch they won't finish in 1st.

AL East: Boston AL Central: Minnesota AL West: Los Angeles AL Wild Card: Chicago
NL East: Philadelphia NL Central: Chicago NL West: San Francisco NL WC: Atlanta
AL MVP: Joe Mauer NL MVP: Albert Pujols
AL Cy Young: Felix Hernandez NL Cy Young: Cliff Lee
WS: Philly over Minnesota
Joe thrives with Morneau healthy and Nishioka in front of him. Pujols puts together his best season yet making him out of reach for St Louis. Cliff Lee is the only 20 game winner of the 4 philly pitchers, but the rest win between 12-18.
Lee Carries the phils to the pennant while a healthy twins team rolls through LA and then Boston. But the 4 aces are too much for the twins, we see a low scoring WS lots of 3-2 and 4-3 games, phils in 7.

C1-NRB. Are you going to stick with the Cards after hearing this? Wainwright might be done for 2011.
That's why you'll be hearing from me on the eve on the regular season.

NL East: philly NL Central: Brewers NL West: SF NL WC: Colorado
WS: Boston over Philly
Cy Young: Jered Weaver/Ubaldo J MVP: ARod/ Albert Pujols
Yankees trade Brett Gardner, Jesus Montero, Ivan Nova and Manny Banuelos to Seattle for Felix Hernandez and Franklin Gutierrez. The "Curse of the King" descends upon Safeco Field where the Mariners won't win the World Series until 2058. Felix wins every start for the Yankees and it is just enough to get them into the Wild Card.

Two problems with your predictions, R9. First, too much Tampa ;)
Second, TB could not play Boston in the first round. Even if TB is the one seed, division teams may not meet in the first round.
Well, there is a third, you have to be out of your mind if you think the A's would beat the Twins in the playoffs!

Ahh, forgot about the division teams deal-eo.
As for the rest... what can I say. I like the underdog. ;) Plus, if even one of them becomes true, I can say I was the only one who saw it coming. :p

I wonder how Tyler Kepner feels about his prediction that the Marlins will win the Wild Card? I bet he would point to the headline, "See, I told you they were 'unpredictable'"

Matt G: AL MVP: Joe Mauer: Joe thrives with Morneau healthy and Nishioka in front of him.
Ah, no.
MBT & I tied for the most correct division winners with four, everyone got at least one correct and not a single one of us picked the DBacks. I think the five guys who picked the Twins to win the Central should get their licenses revoked as they lost a staggering 99 games this year.
Not a single guy picked either of the Wild Cards correctly.
Look over the list of our MVP/Cy Young predictions, I don't know if any of us will get even one right. Pretty sure we can drop Mauer, Vernon Wells, Jason Heyward and Buster Posey off the "maybe" list :)

Yeah, my Minny prediction was pretty awful... but I was the only one to pick TB to make the playoffs. So you can take my keys, but only if you hand them right back. :)

Only four people took a shot at ROY and two people got the AL right. R9's Tampa bias paid off, picking Hellickson correctly and Freeman's second place NL pick was the best of the lot, as well. JKaye made the same two picks.
Both Skidazl and I picked Jered Weaver for the AL Cy Young, 1st runner up. Now, if Verlander cannot fulfill his duties as Cy Young winner, ahem, morals clause and nude photos... we will be proven correct.
Maybe Clayton Kershaw is a Communist and the Committee on Un-American Activities will block his selection as NL Cy Young award winner tomorrow. Then there is a real good chance that most of you picked right...

Wow. I was the only one to have the Cardinals making the WS and winning it all.
I wish I was wrong about the "winning it all" part, though.
