Subject: Last chance to vote for the 500K mascot! Posted by: Perm Dude - [28059111] Thu, Mar 29, 15:07 OK, final time to vote. Ricky "Ricardo" Rincon has the early edge for 500K mascot, but the polls don't close until 5pm Friday. Don't let the fact that CNBC has (again) already called this race for Gore! Get yer votes in: a pitcher or outfielder, priced at 500K, who best represent the underachieving (or overhyped) nature of the 500K division. Or who just have a funny name. Haven't gotten the card yet. Whoever is the mascot I will get a signed card for (or ball, if I can). Last year I had a guy up in Boston chase down Hang-Soon Lee at a minor league game to get the signed ball. necel, For the 500K division, we all start with one player the same on every team; he's our "mascot" and we try to keep him on as long as possible. Last year we struck out, as Paul Assenmacher was the mascot but got cut by the Braves at the end of spring training. pd | |||||

Ricky's fine by me. He has a funny name, it is an alliteration, and he sounds like someone else. PD, does the mascot stay on all teams? Until he goes on the DL, gets booted to AAA, or shows such incredible ability that he exceeds the $1M mark? | |||||

Catfish, the mascot only has to stay on your roster for one freeze period. The first initial frozen rosters for all teams have to have him, but after that is up to the discretion of the managers. pd | |||||
