Has anyone else picked up Nascar: Chase for the Cup 2005? I got it today and just started playing from the ground up. I love how much depth they have in it. So far doing the 1st level of racing the rearview mirror is pretty choppy, but everything else seems to be nice. And i'm even gaining fans. They have Hero's and Villian's as decided by the fans and how you race, I can already see i'm going to be a big villain. In my 4th race I took out a guy, and went on to take the checkered flag. Then after I celebrated he came into my bit to jaw at me, even gave my agent guy a call to see what was up. Very in depth. Gained 400 Villain points on that too, and i'm right about even between the two after gaining some good Hero status in my 1st 3 races. |

Wow, I wasn't even aware that it was out.
Do you have Thunder 2004, Punk? How does the gameplay compare? I'm curious about the "feel" of driving the cars. I found 2004 much different than 2003, and took a while to get used to it, but once I did, it was far superior. Just wondering if I'm in for the same type of adjustment period.

I got 2003, but skipped 2004. This one is alot different than 2003 because when you go off the racing surface, you slip around. Plus you slip if you turn to much, even with the assists turned on. But the Hero/Villain, and then Ally/Enemy System in races is sweet, not sure if they had any of that in 2004.

Game play sounds like 2004. I couldn't get the car to spin with the throttle assist on in 2003, but can do it in 2004. 2004 also had the ally/enemy, and they'd try to wreck you in a heartbeat (too often, actually) if your rating with them was low enough.

This game is making me drive alot better than I did in 2003. And i've even got 1.27 million fans cheering me on now, yay.
