- Order of elimination for the Battle Royale. Scoring system was taken from here (post #13).
Viscera Rhyno Tyson Tomko Sylvan Grenier Maven The Coach William Regal Robert Conway Rosey The Hurricane Eugene Tajiri Val Venis Christian Ric Flair Gene Snitsky Steven Richards Shelton Benjamin Chris Jericho Batista
- Benoit and Edge each got 30 for the win. (MITH's suggestion)
- Gave Coach 5 for hosting. I guess you can call it guest hosting so its not the usual 2.
- Um, how should we score the main event? Leave the points open? That's what I did. I gave them 10 each for the main event. We will have to revisit the scoring once a decision is given next week.

Raw Reactions:
I figured I better post these since I rip on Smackdown so often.
Triple Threat match? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. We have had a billion of those. Come on WWE, be creative.
Women's tag match was boring and awful. 70% of the spots were missed and looked like a dark match. Just awful.
These Hassan promos need to end. They are boring, ridiculous, and the gimmick is played out and inappropriate. It was decent when they did it with Slaughter against Hogan. But this is getting old and a waste of TV time.
The Flair/Lawler match would have been great.... 25 years ago. Now its boring, slow, and lacking any real excitement. The Flair facedive has been overused as well. Its time to permanently retire both of these guys from active duty.
At what point do we start officially sleeping during these lingerie type matches and promos? Yeah, we all love hot, half naked woman. But its gotten a bit old. How about a few actual wrestling matches for the television show?
I had the tag title match scored before it ever started. That was an obvious title retention. Maybe they can find a way to make the tag titles exciting again. Heck, maybe they'll actually give the belts to a real tag team someday. Certainly won't be anytime soon though.
Main Event: Nice to see HHH lose. Or did he? I wouldn't be shocked for them to say "Well, no winner means he retains his belt." Good way to grab ratings for the opening to Raw next week.

It was a very very shaky RAW from go....from the opening, when Visera starts attacking Hurricane before the match even starts, only to stop?
How many old gimmicks can you use? A tie in a battle royal? Basically, they went with the 2 ref's making different calls twice in one night. Unbelievable.
Bad promo's too. The Maven/Eugene incident makes zero sense.
RAW needs to set up some legit fueds, not these thrown together ones.
I now, have zero doubt, HHH will retain his title through next week.

(cough)
I say Edge AND Benoit get WWE Title Winning points, as they were each clearly awarded the title.....and my owning them has NOTHING to do with it!

everything looks good, but i think you missed 1 2 pointer for orton.
back stage with the refs, backstage with benoit, backstage with the girls before announcing the matches then in the gm office giving melana the job.

anyone notice MITH has 4 title belts right now? interesting... (I am assuming Wiggs noticed lol)...
that coupled with the fact that Orton hasn't wrestled in a while might make things interesting. but that Angle Invitational thing is helpin wiggs a lot right now.

We knew that HHH isn't much of a fighting champion. He earns most of his keep in PPV main events. Benjamin has been pretty disappointing, though. He won the IC Belt at Taboo Tuesday (Week 8) and I'm pretty sure he has had only one title defense in the 6 Raw episodes and the 1 PPV since then.
Besides the Angle Invitational, Wiggs has RVD winning a match just about every single week on TV. He and Mysterio have been the most consistant scorers on Smackdown.

I was thinking the other day about whether heels or faces win more. Any ideas?

wait.
we can't give win points yet for Edge or Benoit in that match.
they had their hands raised, but that doesn't mean they won.
this is like a turn. we need to wait and see.

sorry. i misinterpreted Benoit and Edge each got 30 for the win. (MITH's suggestion) to be for the title match, not the battle royal...

I thought RAW was decent but, as it has been for the past couple of years or so, it could have been so much more.
For instance, to see VKM changing the Battle Royale rules went totally against what RKO had ordered just a week earlier. Wasn't the whole point of this match for the whole RAW locker room to take advantage over Evolution? To top that, RKO didn't even argue with McMahon over this--even though Vince vehemently stated to Orton that this was his show. (Of course, if Orton had any sense at all, he'd made himself or Jericho the special referee for the match also.)
Secondly, the battle royale provided a quick, albeit, cheap way to create and continue future matchups. I think we'll see a mixture of Tajiri vs. Rhyno; Maven vs. Eugene; Maven vs. Regal; Batista vs. Flair; Rosey vs. Snitsky; Batista vs. Snitsky; etc. Loved that VKM made mention that it was possible for Steven Richards could win. Though we know that wasn't going to happen it was definitely good to see Mr. Sunday Night Heat getting some well deserved recognition.
Thirdly, Benoit and Edge's performance at the end of the Royale was very, very nice. Being on live TV, it would have been easy to see if one of them had landed on the floor first before the other but to their credit, it was perfect execution on their parts.
Fourthly, I am getting quite irritated with the ladies' division now. Please don't tell me that putting the belt on Lita will be a good thing. The women's division is a sham and although Trish, Molly and Victoria are very, very good at what they do, the lack of consistant performances by Lita has really brought this division to an unfortunate standstill. I'll go out on the proverbial limb here and now and predict that the returning Kane will assist Lita next week in stripping (!) Trish of the title. Or if WWE wants to actually become creative, they can have Kane "accidently" interfere in their match, help Trish to retain and keep this Godforsaken storyline of Lita and Kane going until Matt Hardy finally returns to take his woman back.
Fifthly, Flair vs. Lawler. Ok, it was a major yawner but who cares? WWE giving the birthday boy a little love. Nothing wrong with that every now and then. Besides, from what I understand, it was a tough week for Lawyer because of a certain ex-girlfriend. Add that to the fact that Flair is not 100% and you have a match that neither hurts nor helps either guy. I'm okay with that.
What I'm not okay with is the stupid Lingerie junk we had to put up with. 10-15 minutes of silliness that provided absolutely nothing! Yes, Stacy, welcome home.....now get off my TV! Why is it that I get the stinking feeling that in 20-30 years or so, it'll be Orton playing the part of Lawler on Raw broadcasts?!?
Lastly, I will echo Farn's remarks. How many more Triple Threat matches can we stand? I know that Edge needs assistance to be considered main event material; that Benoit needs to stay in the upper echelon fighting for the title; and HHH needs to defend this title but gee whiz, we get this????
Man, I miss Austin!

AFTER FURTHER REVIEW
RAW TRIPLE THREAT CONFUSION (11/29/04) The WWE Fantasy Board is waiting on an official ruling on the winner of the Triple Threat Match between Edge, Chris Benoit and Triple H. In case you missed it, here's what went down: Edge managed to roll Benoit over while the Crippler Crossface was still locked in, causing Benoit’s shoulders to touch the mat. The ref began to count and as he counted three, Edge began to tap out. WATCH THE VIDEO: 56k | 300k
If an official winner is declared on Monday Night RAW next week (or sometime thereafter) points will be awarded to your Fantasy team retroactively. If you had Benoit, Edge or Triple H on your Fantasy roster during Week 1, you will get all the points they deserve for the Triple Threat Match -- even if you change up your roster for Week 2.
