It was a great show altogether.. for the ECW guys - Balls Mahoney looked a lot thinner - Axl barely got over the guardrail - The Dudleys look to be in great shape too which is great for me and Tree who have been patiently waiting.

Totally surprised. I saw big names moving, but seriously, the champ? To me it just shows more and more that SD is the minor league show. I can't see Raw giving up Batista or HHH- so which big name moves over to Smackdown? Jericho? Ugh. Edge? No way. Shelton Benjamin? Maybe, but still, who really cares about the IC belt?
I think it would be great if the first person drafted by Smackdown was someone like Steven Richards. Cena for Richards....good times.

The week after Hell in the Cell between HHH and Batista is the last trading week. Batista could most certainly be moved at that time while not affecting the PPV. He could lose to HHH via interference and want his revenge-----but then not get it due to being traded, preserving the feud for 2 years from now etc..

I think they'll keep Batista at Raw. Him vs. Cena somewhere down the line is just too good to pass up. However I could see HBK and/or Orton moving over to Smackdown.

It would be easy to move Orton with his inactivity. I can see that one too.

Re #5, they could do the opposite, have HHH win the belt back and then move him to SD.

I can't see HHH on Smackdown only because I don't think he wants to go to the taped show, and he usually gets what he wants.

I concur with Mike D. HHH is definitely a Raw-for-life wrestler. In fact, a future Cena-HHH program will bring some major $$$ for WWE IMHO.
Smackdown, on the other hand, would be better off grabbing 3-4 top-level guys from Raw. HBK, Orton, Benoit and maybe Jericho would help to level the playing field greatly.
But say what you want, I believe that Vince and Co. want RAW to stay their flagship show no matter what so Smackdown will always, always be treated as their little step-child in both talent and production.

Agreed. I also think the nature of RAW being live lends it to those who are better on the mic. There is little room for error. On Smackdown editing is king.
So guys like Cena, HHH, and Y2J fit well on Raw. Others that could head there are Cool and Angle. Guys leaving Raw and headed to Smackdown? Benoit fits as he's no mic guy, and........Batista. I don't consider Orton very strong on the mic either at this stage of the game, and a Smackdown move could loom as Bond pointed out.
HBK? He can fit in either place. He used to be strong on the mic (DX, etc), but now he gets little mic time anyway, so a Smackdown trade would work if this choose that route. Christian is terrific on the mic nowadays and it is crucial to his role of the heel. Edge is improving, but still not there yet, IMHO. Could he rejoin Smackdown? Hadn't really thought of him in all of this. Kane sucks on the mic (figuratively). Could he join UT as UT makes his farewell tour(s) on Smackdown? Booker T isn't bad on the mic, and could always make a Raw return for his final stretches with the company.

Hadn't thought about the "strong-mic=RAW" angle but it certainly makes a lot of sense. Of course Maria is still on RAW so.... ;)
I'm hoping that Captain Charisma remains on RAW and continues his feud with Marky Ma....er, Cena. What do you suppose WWE will do with his title? If Batista switches brands, they can just switch titles right? Or perhaps they'll start from scratch and come up with another (sigh!) tournament of some sort.

Setting our fantasy league aside - Christian kicks ass. There is hardly anyone who is consistently as funny. I literally spewed my soda when he came out in that original Captain Charisma outfit the week Jericho was GM.
I hear you about the Christian/Cena fued -- could make for some outstanding promos between the two. The prevailing thought seems to be with Cena going BACK to SD after Vengeance -- perhaps taking Captain Charisma back with him to continue the feud?

I haven't heard about Cena going back to SD; I'd be surprised if he did. He's a natural for RAW and has numerous feuds awaiting him. Love to see him go one on one vs. Orton for an extended period.
Wouldn't mind bringing Angle over to RAW as well. He's been on SD forever hasn't he?

Wow. I was actually coming here to write I hope they continue and play out the Cena/Cap Charisma feud. Plays out awesome with both their skills in ring and on the mic. They both really have the ability to play off each other, and I think both are a great match in ring. Hopefully WWE still checks these boards, and keeps this thing rolling.

You mean WWE has actually checked out these boards in the past???? I find that seriously amusing.
Yes, I too hope the Captain and Cena square off in a long program. They can even team up Christian with Edge again and have them face Cena and Jericho. That'd be a real good match.

the WWE actually has several employees (most notably, former ring announcer Howard Finkel), who's main job is to spend the day surfing the net for a variety of WWE-related things, from random blather to video pirating to copyright/trademark violations, etc etc...

This I did not know. Thanks for the update Tree. I suppose then that the actual performances are somewhat a relief to them. That's good to know.
Any truth to the rumor that HHH (since he's married to the Princess) can say yeah or nay to almost any storyline? I imagine he has a lot of power and as such is probably one of the most disliked individuals behind the curtain. Would that be an accurate discription?
