Am I mistaken or does Season 5 end with Friday's Smackdown?

If so we need to start organizing for Season 6. Our great statistician is leaving us for starters so we need to get his replacement ready (Hi Mike D). And we need to set up times and dates for keepers and a new draft. We also need to make sure every manager but MITH is sticking around. Oh, and discuss a possible replacement for MITH, or are we just going to retract a team? |

but if anyone is actually in favor of the retraction idea that we offer MITH's team to Bond and THEN retracted Bonds current squad...
(and frankly we should retract or replace Kev's squad too cause he hasn't looked participated in eons...)
Bond has been a great part of the league, he started off with a badly inherited squad and has steadily improved it but has been stuck in a rut a bit with Kane disappearing for example... and then the whole horrible Katrina thing killed his chances of adding anyone the last month or two.
I believe Slosh did indicate interest though in filling the spot, so thats something we need to investigate.

honestly I think Bond has a decent team. I wouldn't be in favor of him taking over MITH's.
Bond has Kane, Hurricane, Hardcore, Dean, Tajiri, and Regal to choose from for keepers. Kane comes back next week according to the promo show last night. So his team isn't too bad.
I'd rather we retract MITH's team or find a replacement.
What would people think of claiming Mickey Hall for Bond? Give him the choice of keeping her. Could drop Hogan or Regal from his team to make that move. Just a thought.

I was wondering who Mickey James was. Kinda loved the "psycho fan" thing last night.
I too think it's a good idea to make that waiver claim for Bond.

Well for starters, using last years format I believe we have til midnight on Tuesday 10/18 to declare keepers.
I believe we send them to the first place guy... so that will be Mike D.
Anyone still have a copy of that chart with all the dates etc etc... ? Don't we have a break in between seasons now?

ahh... I couldn't click on links like that at work, so I skimmed over it.
Alright, so we have til from this week til Halloween to get things ready. That should be a comfortable 2 week layoff to get things in order.

We need to find out, quickly, if we have a replacement for MITH.
I'm cool with a 10/18 Keeper Deadline. Shouldn't be that hard for us to figure out. Also think we should start the draft by 10/20-ish.

I would be willing to give it another shot if you will have me back. I think I ran my team fairly well when I had one. I knew with school I would have limited time last season and we had a suitable replacement so I stepped down.

Gents,
Once again, thanks for your assistance while we try to recover from all things Katrina. Things are getting better week by week. I anticipate that once Halloween comes around, I'll be a full-fledged participant again.
Meanwhile, thanks for allowing me to draft Ms. James. I have already sent my list of keepers to Mike D just in case I have trouble getting back on-line anytime soon.
Young Gunz....since my participation in this league came about primarily because you dropped out, I'd have no problem seeing you back in. In fact, if you want your old team back.....;>)
