Subject: Season 6 - get off your asses

Gentlemen (and in some certain Pennsylvanian cases, I use the term quite loosely) -
We need to organize for Season 6. Things to figure out:
1 - MITH's replacement - or retraction?
2 - What about Bond? Is he even capable of doing a draft?
3 - Need to establish Keeper Due Date
4 - Need to establish draft order and draft start date
5 - Rule changes?
6 - Is everyone, aside from MITH, returning?
A few takes:
- I'd rather replace MITH.
- I doubt if Bond can draft. Even if he can, being out of the loop for a month or more I wonder how effective his draft would be. I was wondering if MITH would stick around and draft with him/for him as a last gesture of good will?!?
- I think we've ironed out the rules pretty well.

If I'm not still running my team, I'd be happy to draft for Bond. But I'd rather not draft for both teams. Too likely to cause a situation of conflicting interests, I think.

Species questions...
1. Someone needs to get ahold of Slosh somehow as he strongly indicated interest in MITH's "Leaving the League thread". Or perhaps start a thread called something like "Spot Available - Gurupie WWE League"
I don't really like the retraction idea.
It seems there is just about the right amount of talent to go around with this # of teams.
2. Bond - Obviously depends what he says... but if MITH is replaced that would be the perfect solution.
3. Keeper Due Date? Midnight Tuesday October 18th sent to Mike D
4. Draft - not sure who did the order, totaled the points last year - was it the guy who got keepers sent to him?...
Start date? Whenever the order is determined, perhaps?
5. I don't see any pressing rule changes. Heel turns seems ok - but I DO think it should be up to the owner to nominate them instead of us trying to keep track of everybody on everybody else's teams.

Draft order will be established by Mike D (well deserved Congrats). Everyone sends their keepers in to him and he determines the draft order based on the final standings and strength of keepers.

Count me in guys! Everything is going slowly but surely so if you'll have a little patience with me, then I think it'll all work out ok.

From GO, via email, regarding a waiver deadline:

I thought of a formal rule change. We need to establish a deadline for claims and going forward I think it should be the last roster deadline
(which means 24 hours before since it takes that to be official regardless of #1 priority). I think that is simple enough. And frankly we can enforce it now for all I care cause nobody else has claimed anyone. I am not 100% sure I would keep Toland over Lashley and I don't think Bond would keep Mikey James over Regal or Dean anyhow (we can always give him an exemption for this situation and offer the option of course).
My take:
I don't have a problem with a waiver deadline that is 24 hrs prior to the final week's roster freeze. But I don't believe any restriction on GO or Bond's option to keep James or Toland should be retroactively instituted.

I had early posted that I would be interested in joing but Gunz has come back saying he wouldn't mind coming back either. I leave that decision up to you good gents...I'm still interested but I would understand if you wanted to bring back someone that had already participated.
Mike D better stand up for me, or I'm not making the trade in Serious Biz. : )

slosh - if you solemnly swear to honor the crude happenings that are the WWE, which include (but are not limited to):
- Despariging women
- Hitting/power bombing women
- Showing off nearly naked women
- Keeping breast implant doctors in business
- Kicking stroke victims in the nuts
- Insulting anyone and everyone

.......and many other really insulting things I can't think of right now, then I would vote you in. You asked first, etc etc.
But seriously, do you have the time to keep up and are you a reasonably up-to-date wrestling "fan"? Have you kept up on things from afar? etc?

Barring any major objections, I say "done". Young gunz - don't go far, someone else could bail. While I'm not worried about most of the participants, we haven't heard from kev in a while....
Mike D - I'm disappointed you didn't notice my subtle crack on you in the opening post of this thread....heheheheheh
I proclaim:
- slosh as MITH's replacement
- Bond is good to go - but Bond, you could consider recruiting MITH for keeper or draft advice
- Keepers are due to Mike D at sixers_suck@terrellowens.com (or other email of Mike's choice) by Midnight Tuesday the 18th (or, as the 18th turns into the 19th)
- Mike D will need to figure out the draft order.
- Draft date: Anyone have a problem starting things on Thursday the 20th at 12:00 ET?
- Any proposed rule changes? Anyone second GO's waiver processing proposal?
- Everyone needs to check in. I think we can assume me, Mike D, GO, slosh, Farn, wiggs, Bond and Tree are all good. Need to hear from kev and Cliff.

I have been checking in and reading the threads, and whatnot, just not much to add, and have been pretty busy myself too. Missed out on some waiver moves, but not much to do when your lineup is hurt. I had trade offers for Angle, but I wasn't going to risk losing Masters, who wsa my one shining moment of this season- trading Batista to get him as a keeper.
I will be around gentleman. Let me know where my keepers go to.

WooHoo!!!! Just got my phone re-connected today and now I'm finally able to use my home computer.
