Mike D, just out of curiousity, how did Trish's points work? I don't to comb through the review but did she get title defense points? I know its lame but they announced it as a title match so I'm thinking she has 5 more coming. Unless that 5 is for the defense and not a backstage promo.

LOL! Just blew 20 mins scoring this thing! ;-)
I believe you forgot IC defense points for Flair. According to reports it was added that the match was for the IC title.

I did forget Flair's IC Title points, thanks Species. +10 Ric Flair
Trish = 12 PPV match, 5 title defense-----should that be 10 since technically it is a "WWE" title? I used any other......might be off 5 there. 10 in-ring vignette which was after the match with Mickie James and Grisham. And 30 for the battle royal win.

Species, I hate that, I almost posted that I was scoring it just in case.......

ah ok, wasn't sure if she had a backstage.
5 is the right number for that defense. I've always scored it as so.

Cool. I sent the updated spreadsheet a bit ago to you. It didn't have the Flair +10, so I changed mine. Just make the change on the PPV tab......

here's a question, how do we handle the partial backstage shot of each person in the voting.
For example, before the Eugene match Hacksaw, Kamala, and Snuka were shown waiting for the announcement. Then Eugene came through and grabbed Snuka and walked to the ring with him.
Is that a backstage promo for 5 points? Mike D didn't score it like that but it could probably be debated. I'd lean towards no but I could see the argument.

or does Foley get 5 more for being shown walking into the backstage area to talk live on the internet at wwe.com?

Same deal here Farn: when I was scoring and reading the recaps, the show opens with Mysterio and Hardy back stage preparing before showing up on the ramp.....

There were several of those. I didn't feel they warranted a +5 because nothing I saw mentioned anything about a vignette or promo of any sort. They were just standing there waiting for announcements, and then those chosen walked out for the match. Kind of like if they were to show HBK walking down a hallway and they said "HBK will speak to the crowd, next!" I wouldn't award anything for that. That's my feeling, FWIW.

fair enough Mike D.
problem is we've always given 2 points when they show a wrestler walking to the ring before going to commercial on Raw. So we probably need to draw the line somewhere.

Regular scoring (nom-PPV) says: "TV Show backstage vignette: +2 (more than just being there as the camera pans through)"
Guess that's where I was coming from. But I do remember our discussion of face time being key.

ok, just some points to consider if we scoring things differently (putting them here so they are at least saved so I don't have to rewatch the PPV):
+2 for Cena (I'm pretty sure Mike D gave him 10 for a defense instead of 12)
Trish and Mickie 10 more for postmatch promo?
5 more to Foley for being shown going to wwe.com to chat on the internet?
5 more to Kane and Show for the postmatch promo?
The following were all shown for voting: Hacksaw, Kamala, Snuka, Eugene HBK, Big Show, Kane All 6 divas coming out front for the clothing announcement

Nevermind, Mike D got the Trish/Mickie promo.
Not that it matters but should Grisham only be 5 for hosting?

Gave Grisham 5 more for the Trish/Mickie promo.

Thought Cena's title defense was only 10? Am I looking at old scoring?

yeah, scroll down to post 13 in the scoring thread. the original was slightly tweaked.
I'd say Grisham loses that 2nd 5 points. That's still hosting when he interviews the girls.
Just to bring a smile to everyone's little faces :)
This guy is on the show and Shelton isn't?! Insanity.

Farn---post 17----weird. In one place I have that it is +12, another I had +10. I had looked at the +10. I'll change that. I'll leave Grisham as is to see if anyone else responds. If not I'm fine either way.
Kane/Big Show post-match---tough call. I pondered that when scoring it. Everything I saw made it seem like Grisham asked Big Show the question ("are you surprised?" or something like that) but Show never really answered due to Murdoch getting up on the apron and then the double choke slam. So I didn't award anything.
