Subject: WWE talk: ECW, Smackdown *SPOILERS*/clusterf***

Is it just me, or from the standpoint of our league is the WWE going to hell in a handbasket or WHAT?
- MNM broken up at Judgment Day?!? WTF?!? Whether I own Mercury or not, what is up with that? Nitro and Melina thrown off Smackdown? HUH? Sending Mercury to ECW maybe? They've been the freshest tag team in years! WTF?
From the Smackdown spoilers:
- Lashley pins JBL for US Title. Where the hell did THAT come from? No buildup, just throw together a match.
- So then JBL demands a rematch with Mysterio with the stip that he will leave Smackdown. He loses.......so now JBL's on RAW? Actually I like it, because he delivers some kick ass promos and could use some fresh feuds.....I trust this means that Kennedy and Batista are ready to return....and I guess the clock is ticking on Orton's return. But geezus what the hell is left on SD right now?
- And Benoit is supposed to be taking some time off?
- This whole ECW issue with old ECW guys being primed to perhaps jump back over there - who will be left on the 'main' shows?
Seems 10 times more up in the air than the annual "DRAFT".

it's being reported that Ken Kennedy suffered a significant injury to his triceps this weekend, quite possibly a large tear.
on a related front, with Kennedy out of the picture, and Khali challenging for the Raw title, if i hadn't traded Batista, i'd have the top two contenders for WWE's two top belts.
man, and i'd be in this thing. that sucks!

Sucks when these things are done due to injury. They had to move fast, and they did.

Yeah that's good news.....good news! Still gonna hurt my season though.....at least they might have him still be on tv with promos and announcing etc., and I can scrape up some points that way.
Just a note the Dalton Boys on Smackdown on 5/11 are Ray Gordy (Terry Gordy's son) and Freakin' Deacon (the imposter Kane from months back) formerly from Deep South Wrestling.

I dont like Zyre having the advantage of knowing guys from DSW. I was wondering why he was claiming the freakin deacon.

They had a vignette on Smackdown which is why he claimed them. And Goat actually drafted Gordy, so thats how long in advance we knew this was coming in one form or another...

the only reason I said anything was the spoilers said it was kc and cassidy james, so Tree and I each claimed one and then zyre claimed deacon and I was wondering why,

Thats pretty funny, basically an inaccurate spoiler screwed you guys.
Well, ya never know, maybe that new team debuts too. They certainly need more talent sooner than later with all these injuries.
I was wondering why you guys claimed the James Boys (as they are going by in OVW) as the Smackdown spoilers I read said that it was Deacon and Gordy. Cassidy Riley and KC James are doing a heel brother tag team in the vein of Tommy Rich and if Tommy Rich had a little brother.

oh. i wasn't fooled by a spoiler. i knew it was deacon and gordy - heck, GL will tell you i was trying to get Gordy off him next week.
the James Boyz are very likely the next call up....

FYI - I can't find a detailed review of Friday's Smackdown to score it. As soon as I do, I'll do it, unless someone can direct me to a relatively accurate review.

Mike, looks like you'll be forced to start watching some TNA!
Christian, Angle, Sting, Samoa Joe, RVD, Sabu (if they let him back), Abyss... its a pretty nice core.

wiggs, just saw the tread thread.......I think you violated the 2 trades in 5 minutes rule, as well as the trade too many studs for too many other dudes, too many waiver swaps and draft picks rule. Man I'd hate to be the scorekeeper of this league.

Begin scene.....
The powers that be decide that Gordy and Deacon will be a new redneck tag team on Smackdown. "But wait", exclaims one executive, "Deacon isn't a redneck - wtf do we do?!?".
"Easy", retorts another executive, "we'll do a vignette where the Deacon falls down a manhole cover, two other guys con that dumbass redneck Gordy into going down after him". As the rest of the decision makers listen intently, he continues....."when Gordy gets down there, the Deacon will appear unconscious. Gordy shakes him awake, the Deacon will say 'Why, howdy neighbor' like a redneck and BOOM! Your redneck tag team is born!".
Thunderous applause erupts within the room.
......end scene

two of the worst matches ever. EVER.
both are worth keeping on - at least in the background - because the announcing is simply brilliant, particularly in the second one - i laughed solid for 15 minutes with such gems as:
“One of the biggest matches this year…as you can see, this match, being held in somebody’s living room, and both people that showed up said it was the greatest night of action they had ever seen…”
“don’t be fooled by the bland haircut, the bland clothes, and the bland valet, this man is a monster of professional wrestling.”
“there is a capacity crowd here, of 12.”
“These two have hated each other for all of 30 seconds so far!”
and, of course, the classic, “I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MOVE LIKE THAT IN MY ENTIRE.......NINE MINUTES OF COMMENTATING!!!!”
there is so much amazing announcing in this match, you could pretty much put the video in the background and just listen…”oh my god! There is somebody clapping for him!!!”

The first one is just ok----one great line though:
"The audience of one.....the one man heat machine!"
The second one is freakin' incredible----a must see--er, hear! The english announcer is so sarcastic and serious at the same time........GREAT stuff!!!!!
I don't want to steal to many more of his lines.....but he had so many, it doesn't matter:
"Looking like a poor man's Jeff Hardy......but don't be fooled, he IS a poor man's Jeff Hardy."
"He lost his afro for this match to make him more aerodynamic!"

"Nobody in this business applies a headlock quite like these guys. It's a world famous headlock"
you want a headlock???
how about this! (ok, it's more of a facelock than a headlock, but it is an 8 minute and 35 second facelock in a match with Big John Studd and Andre the Giant...

The 2007 WWE Draft continued today on WWE.COM starting at Noon. Originally it was supposed to be on Wednesday however the big angle with McMahon exploding on Monday Night RAW (damn, that sounds like a Heroes type of thing) took the most importance on the WWE website and the supplemental draft was pushed back to today. Going to RAW are Paul London & Brian Kendrick, The Sandman, Daivari, William Regal and Jillian Hall. Going to Smackdown! are Kenny Dysktra, Hardcore Holly, The Major Brothers, Victoria and Eugene. Going to ECW are Viscera, The Miz and Johnny Nitro.

It just shows how weak RAW was when they have to keep getting all the top draft picks (Booker, Kennedy, Lashley, London/Kendrick, Regal etc)... and their main title fueds recently were Cena/Khali and Santino vs. ?... and Cade/Murdoch vs Hardy's who weren't even a RAW tag team! lol...

And wtf is the Sandman on RAW? and Holly leaving ECW where he was actually a pretty good fit?! And Victoria to a show with no womens belt?
Miz and Nitro were certainly be a "Hollywood" type duo in ECW I predict. A (very) poor mans RKO... but with the potential to grow. They need to introduce the TV Title already to give the mid-card something to shoot for.
