Saw this via Wrestling Online newsletter. With SD tapings tonight I would assume roster moves would now be frozen?
SMACKDOWN! TAPINGS TONIGHT, EURO AND IRAQ TOURS NEXT WEEK - Smackdown! tapings will be held tonight in Florence, SC., instead of this coming Tuesday as the brand takes off to Europe for five shows in Portugal, Switzerland and Spain starting on Monday. ECW tapings following the PPV will be held prior to RAW this Monday and then the brand will take off to Germany, where they will stop for a few hours and then catch a military cargo plane with destination Iraq for a five day tour in the country. During those five days, the Superstars will be meeting the US troops and hold a special Christmas edition of Monday Night RAW, which will air on USA Network on the 25th.

I will leave it to others to confirm, but since Taylor was involved in the taping that occurred before wiggs put his lineup in, I would have to assume he is stuck with Taylor on his bench.
By the time I posted the warning the taping had already occurred.

I guess thats the only fair (consistent?) way sticking with the precedent. If an early ECW taping ever snuck up on us I expect it would be handled the same way.

By the same way - I mean all ECW talent would be locked (as Smackdown talent would be in this scenario)... if he was start/benching RAW talent then I think we would be fine approving it.

Agree with #7 completely. If someone needed to start someone on RAW a change after a different show's taping shouldn't hamper your ability to make that swap.
Barring a very compelling argument otherwise.....sorry wiggs but I think Taylor will have to be on your bench this week.

i agree. this precedent isn't new.
if there was an early taping for any thing, rosters were always frozen prior to that taping.

this is unreal, I made a roster change, obviously I wanted to start the guy. There was no post on here saying rosters were going to be due. I posted my roster long before any spoilers were listed. Its fine if you arent going to let it slide, but I want you to realize how petty this sounds.

again, and this is nothing new, if there is an early taping, rosters are due prior to that taping. we've been doing that since the beginning.

With the European/Iraqi swing it's not exactly clockwork scheduling up front. I'm sure that this taping caught us all off guard.
The roster thread for this week was up on Tuesday.....to guard against exactly what happened. Every time I make a roster move where I intend to use that wrestler I almost always put up an early roster thread....more to guard against my own oversight/laziness than a surprise taping out of nowhere - but the result is the same.
If you intended on starting Taylor you had three and a half days of the roster thread staring you in the face. While in a sense it's not your fault that this taping sprang up from nowhere, to call those who commented against allowing your roster move petty.......well that's pretty petty if you ask me - like it's OUR fault YOU didn't put a roster in. I know you're sensitive to comments directed your way, but a spade is a spade bro.

Well its been that way in previous seasons, if there was a taping that caught us off guard then we froze that show as soon as someone noticed it and posted the heads up... Its not like we have just randomly decided this for this situation.

thats fine, I will drop it. I just want you to know, its not like I put in a random guy that was on my bench for like 5 weeks. It is a guy I picked up using my waiver priority. I didnt think there was any reason to make the change early so I waited til I watched smackdown, which aired on Saturday here, this week to see if Steven and James had a match, when they didnt I made the change. Like I said, I could see if Rey made a surprise appearance and won a match and I made the change that it seems shady, but that wasnt the case.

Nobody is doubting everything was done in good faith, but I guess there has to be a precedent or else there will always be a grey area where others may try to take advantage.
