- I think you should have burned your waiver priority on Federline, GO! lmao! That's a PPV score!

- Gave Victoria 5 for guest hosting and 5 for post-match 'psycho attack' on Lillian.

- Flair got 5 for post match beatdown, since it forwarded a separate storyline (DX vs. Rated RKO) as opposed to his tag opponents doing a post-match beatdown (make sense?)

Comments:

- I don't care how much publicity it generates, it is just asinine to have Kevin F'n Federline 'pin' your World Champion! Disgusting!

- What a slap by Melina on Maria!! That HAD to hurt! lol

- Why is Rob Conway worth enough to be fired by VKM on RAW?

I'm gonna wind up needing to use it sooner than later anyway cause I need to do something with Sgt Slaughter. Unless I can trade say a 3rd round pick for someone random on TV. Anyone wanna move up a round in exchange for someone randomly sitting on your bench anyway?

      Tue, Jan 02, 2007, 15:57 		I want to get some affirmation on my understanding of the scoring of post-match beatdowns/other shenanigans.

When I have scored, I have not added anything to the wrestlers in the match. If others run in of course that is different, but usually, barring a material on-mic promo, the wrestlers don't get anything extra.

Example: Booker and Batista wrestle a match. Someone wins, then Finlay rushes the ring and teams up with Booker on a post-match beatdown. Finlay gets 5 but neither Booker nor Batista got anything else.

Rationale: The post-match stuff is furthering the same Batista vs. Booker storyline that the match is supposed to do.

Exception: After last night's tag match Flair got ambushed by Rated RKO. This furthered the DX vs. RKO storyline which was completely separate from Flair's feud with Kenny.

Anyone have any issues with this interpretation or comments to add?

It's tricky, cause then its open to interpretation and since we watch a program with completely illogical writing most of the time, so it can be difficult.

Wouldn't Victoria jumping Melina qualify for extra for Melina then? They are all interconnected. So thats why I guess I see the the person getting beat down during/after their match as part of the match as a whole.

It could also depend on the bell timing... if the beatdown came after the bell or the person was jumped during the match causing the DQ.

Other than that, I'd have to review the rules thread.

      Wed, Jan 03, 2007, 19:17 		Well, since we have some gray areas it becomes incumbent upon the scorers to do some interpretation and to note it as we always have.....then if league members disagree with the interpretation they can bring it up. I made an interpretation on the Flair thing....if it's wrong, so be it.

GO's Melina example I suppose makes sense. The case can be made that I gave Flair a generous extra 5. Anyone else?

....and of course, I doubt anyone in this league has ever said that!

That being said, Federline 'pinning' Cena was of course only possible due to the interference from "Umaga", Cena's opponent at the next PPV event. He laid Cena out with his finishing move and also gave him a shot over the head with the Championship Belt.

"It is not really 'sport' because the outcome is predetermined....but how you get there is up to you". He went on to talk of the beatings he routinely got from Andre the Giant because he somehow pissed him off and Andre let him know about it....he would still win the match where it was dictated he would win, but he was worse for wear afterwards.

As I've told my oldest son.....you can fake a punch.....you can be taught how to land flat on your back so that you distribute the damage of a fall across your entire body....you can engineer a variety of moves that look damaging but really aren't.....but there's no faking 15 ft jumps from the top of cages, superplexes off the top rope, or ladders accidentally "see-sawing" wrongly into your face a la Mercury above. It's still a dangerous entertaining job.

In a sense they're similar to professional stuntmen.....you engineer things to take the least amount of damage possible, but you are still going to take a beating.
