0 Subject: Undertaker is ON THE TABLE

Posted by: Greg Rude - [12011282] Mon, Jan 29, 2007, 00:27

Co-managers, Wrestling fans, Leaders and most importantly, Friends...

Feast yourself on the marvel that is the Deadman. The 2007 Royal Rumble Winner.

The Undertaker will be headlining Wrestlemania 23. That's right Wrestlemania... where all the chips are placed on the table. Not just that, but think of the build up he will have to do from now till then (a good 2+ months) and the Smackdown PPV next month where you know they will have their Royal Rumble winner show up. All of this could be yours...

What a tight race we have at the top for that coveted Season 8 Championship. FOUR guys all vying for immortality. Could Undertaker be what you need to solidify your name in history? Guaranteed to headline Wrestlemania !?

Well come get the Deadman TODAY! This is a bit of an auction format, obviously I will be taking the best deal until the fervor dies down and the minimum bid starts with a 1st round pick + *insert name here* (for my 4th & Taker)

*cough*

A better marketing strategy would have been to take advantage of Taker's much-rumored win and trading him before the Rumble!! Dumbass! ;-)

Don't make me trade him to Great One for only a 4th round pick.

LOL - classic heel response.

I shouldn't have encouraged "Greg Rude" after you were gonna be "Greg Nice"! lmao

Was Taker rumored to win it? Shows how out of touch I am. For the more casual fan it was a nice surprise. No major buildup prior to the Rumble, unlike the past couple of years when it was almost obvious.

LOL I had him and I didn't know... I just wasn't thinking Cena/Taker... well hell, I claimed SCSA and even activated him for the Rumble, if that tells you anything. ha!

Yeah I think you are right... although they should mix that up instead of the Rumble winner only taking on the Smackdown champ.

The year Batista won they established that the Rumble winner can challenge whichever champ he wants.

i know he has the option for either champ, but i just see a batista UT match being a better pull then a cena ut match.,

It's supposedly Batista... The Streak vs. The Title.

And yeah, BEFORE the Rumble would have been a lot more useful Rude! lol...

I thought this thread title meant UT was going to undergo surgery........for one of his many brittle bones.

same here Tree.

Whats the thought on Taker winning? Does he finish off his run of WM's with a triumphant win for the title or does he pull an Andre the Giant and put a guy over in a legendary match?

If he was to put over Cena or Batista in the ME he could really do a lot for him. With Batista being so much older I'd think putting over Cena would make more sense but who knows.

Personally, I don't think Batista needs to be over any more than he already is. Batista's not youg, so it wouldn't make much sense to me to sacrifice Taker's streak to put over the guy who is already probably the most hyped wrester in the organization.

I think they'd be smart to wait until the opportunity to put over then next young Hogan, Rock or HBK, a young guy they believe can carry the company for years. Lesnar looked for a while like he might be that guy. Orton still has a chance for it to be him, I think. Lashly falls short, IMO. Don't know if there is someone in OVW waiting in the wings.

My prediction: Taker wins the main event at Wrestlemania.

And thats why he won... because of the intrigue of The Streak vs. The Belt. It could really go either way.

Cena vs Taker would interest me more, but I would say it'll probably be Batista (they actually have been building the tension between Batista/Taker the last few weeks which hints at this. Taker actually "inadvertantly" knocked out Batista when he was aiming for Kennedy.

.....and add to that Kennedy, in a match with Taker, slapping Batista on commentary the previous week, prompting Batista to come in and spear Kennedy giving Kennedy a DQ win.

Belt vs. Streak should be a good buildup.

.....I too initially wondered if UT was undergoing surgery when I first saw the thread title! lol

Well it was a good rumble for me. I scored 260 and cushioned my lead back a bit after slipping to GO and Bobo last 2 weeks. I had GO with 168 and Bobo 159 so that helps.

Kennedy or Kenny oughta get the win over UT at WM.

Hopefully we can make up some points tonight - I vote they put Cena in 4 seperate matches! :)

Damn, this HHH injury has just been a killer. I would still consider moving him to anyone planning for next year, he'll slide under a crappy leading scorer and make for a great keeper.

Bah.....this year would have been academic if I idiotically did not choose J. Jeter over Flair in the first round. I have been so stubborn about Flair in this league it's not even funny. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

species, I chose not to keep him about 4 seasons ago when evolution broke up because I thought he was done then. Big mistake.

Yup, I envision about 10 more great years from Flair. Cough, cough.
