Hardy is earning his keep......BIG TIME. That Whisper in the Wind off of the top of the cage was off the hook!
- Gave all of the Divas credit for a singles match - LOL - they should have kept the Divas match as a cage match (or whatever the hell it landed on!). Maybe a first blood match!

Indeed Species ... when Hardy did that I said HOLY SHIT and thought about how he had so many important upcoming matches (PPV title shot) ... and he still does that stuff? Just freaking awesome.

Divas match was initially a submission match! :)
Gotta think Melina or Mickie would have taken that.

Santino should have a 5 instead of a 3 for managing Carlito.. he was jumping up and down on the ringpost distracting the ref. Santino +2

I noticed that, but I didn't score it that way as it didn't really cause an advantage for Carlito, which in my recollection has always been the basis of earning interference points. During that period, Holly was actually getting the apple ready for apple spit.
That's my take but as always am open to other interpretations.

I scored it as interference as well (scored it not realizing Species had already done so). In my opinion anything that distracts an official or participant in a manner that is abnormal should be considered interference.

From the rules:
"4. Standards for “interferences” are discussed in posts 21 - 33 here. Primarily, someone who is not already involved in a match must either mix it up with someone (such as the announcers or other person outside the ring) or have some kind of impact on the match (such as cause enough of a distraction to keep a wrestler or referee from seeing something notable, for example) in order to have committed an “interference”."
Which was discussed in this thread:
Species Sustainer ID: 569221717 Mon, Jan 06, 2003, 17:05 Regarding interference....things like:
- an attack when the opponent is thrown out of the ring (a single punch/stomp would suffice) - tripping/pulling at the opponent thrown against the ropes - chair shots from outside the ring
etc. would all count. They can be done from outside of the ring and be included as a "run in", IMO.
In the Stacy case at Wrestlemania, since Jeff Hardy actually grabbed her, kissed her (lucky mother &$(%^) etc, IMO that is interference.
What about a manager standing on the ring apron distracting the ref so their wrestler can do an illegal move while the ref's distracted? Or distracting the opponent so his wrestler could do a shot from behind?
IMO, if it results in some kind of advantage to the managed wrestler, it probably counts. 34 Farn Donor ID: 4710402716 Mon, Jan 06, 2003, 17:09 Agreed Species, any advantage for their wrestler is interferance.
============================
IMO Santino's distraction led to no advantage for Carlito, so that's why I scored it that way.
I'm not really pissing about 2 points, but I don't want us to move away from our established standards for interference.

Watching the video from Raw here's what I see.
Santino climbs to the apron and up the turnbuckle for god knows what reason. The referee is completely distracted. This allows Rhodes to toss the apple to Holly. Santino keeps distracting the official while Holly chews up the apple and spits it on Carlito. He hits Carlito with his Slammajamma move. After this Holly tosses away the apple and Santino leaves the apron, thus allowing the referee to count the pinfall.
In my opinion Santino actually distracted the referee and cost his own man the match. They may be setting up that feud but he definately distracted the official and allowed Holly to use the apple.

My recollection agrees with every word in #10.
But the question is....does it count as interference by our definition?
The word of the rule does state: or have some kind of impact on the match (such as cause enough of a distraction to keep a wrestler or referee from seeing something notable, for example)
A distraction occurred, but during that distraction all that happened was Holly spit the apple. Carlito was already groggy enough to stand there for the apple spit.....and then he hit the Alabama Slamma for the pin.
Would spitting the apple be a DQ-able offense?!? If so, then in this case the distraction was "interference worthy" as it distracted the Ref long enough for an illegal act to occur. If not, then it was just for comedy's sake.
Thoughts?

As of now, I didn't add the 2, figuring it can be adjusted if warranted. Sorry, no time to digest this now.

You got my vote already - if you are jumping on the ring apron and are interacting with the ref trying to help your guy by causing a distraction, whether you are successful at doing so is irrelevant to me. He did more than just accompany Carlito to ringside. Doesn't matter if he is a bumbling idiot and screwed it up, he interfered.

if we are accepting this as interfence, by default does Cody Rhodes get 5, not 3, because he was the reason the apple got tossed into the ring.
Just some more food for thought.

Absolutely Cody Rhodes = 5 as he was involved. FOOD for thought?! apple?! haha... this guy is good.
