I know I'm the new guy in this forum, but I had to just put in my 2 cents about the "Farewell Address" from Ric Flair on Raw. I thought it was absolutely amazing.
I'll be the first one here to admit it, but Idid get the old lump in the throat a couple of times. Just seeing that show of respect from those guys (and girls as well) was really impressive.
I think if you are a wrestling fan of any length and were able to watch that and NOT get a lump or two, you need to find the Undertaker and ask for your soul back!!
Diamonds are forever - and so is Ric Flair

Did anyone else find it strange that None of the McMahon's made an appearance, or the new Champion undertaker?

According to Prowrestling.com, Vince, Steph, and Undertaker came out after Raw went off the air.

This entire segment last night was beyond incredible.

It may be my favorite non-wrestling moment in WWE/WWF history. I was crying the whole time...I am not ashamed to admit that.

A true "feel good" moment in pro wrestling...everything was SO real...you could sense the appreciation and gratitude in the ring.

I didn't get worked up last night. It was sad but I was far more out of it during his match Sunday. That one really hurt cause you knew the entire 20 mins that you were seeing the end of a career of a living legend.

What I would have enjoyed was to have heard the 4 horseman speak last night. Find another 5 mins and let them speak.

I was very impressed that Flair stayed composed while he spoke. He immediately lost it the minute HHH made it to the ramp.

WWE.com now has the highlights from the Flair/Raw segment. Well done. You can access it from the home page and make it full screen.

This link might work, if not, see above.

i still haven't watched Raw. a friend of mine is sending me the entire episode on DVD, plus another friend has a comp of every Flair match, promo, etc etc, from Dec 2007 through his final Raw, and i'll be getting that as well.

being there live for Flair's final match was unbelievable. watching him walk down the entrance ramp for what was presumably (and ended up being) his final match, was such an emotional thing.

and HBK's "I'm Sorry. I Love You," was amazing, and sends chills down my spine as i think about it.

Yeah, that's truly one for the history books, and amazing that you could be there. For it to happen at Wrestlemania, with all the other great matches, stars, and atmosphere, is icing on the cake.
