Subject: Season 11 Vote

Items up for vote.
1. A proposal for Elimination Chamber specific scoring. In favor? Yes/No. Here is Battle Royal for comparison. These numbers can certainly be tweaked but here is a rough outline. The goal here is to create a reward for lasting til the end, eliminating people etc. If we vote in favor, we can throw a few slightly different point proposals together and see which one we like the best.
Battle Royale Scoring Winner gets 30 points. 2nd gets 20 3rd gets 19 4th gets 18 5th gets 17 6th gets 16
Proposed Elimination Chamber Scoring Winner gets 35 points. 2nd gets 25 3rd gets 22 4th gets 19 5th gets 16 6th gets 13 +5 points for each elimination
So the RAW Chamber at No Way Out would have earned the following (note it was main event). I think it offers a slight reward to guys like Hardy and Y2J who shined in this match eliminating people etc. Getting equal points with JBL who was out of it in a few mintues just didn't seem right to me.
Triple H = 12+20+35+5+5 = 77 Jeff Hardy = 12+20+25+5 = 62 HBK = 12+20+22 = 54 Y2J = 12+20+19+5+5 = 61 Umaga = 12+20+16 = 48 JBL = 12+20+13 = 45
For comparison (not including promo's) this is how it DID score. Triple H = 62 Jeff Hardy = 47 HBK = 47 Y2J = 47 Umaga = 47 JBL = 47
2. Points awarded for a valet at a PPV. In an effort to keep it proportional with a promo or interference etc. valet should be bumped from 3 for all shows to 3 for free TV and 5 for a PPV.
3. Points for participating in title match Losing as a challenger in a championship match Proposal A WWE/World Title Defense: +6 Intercontinental/US Title Defense: +5 Tag Team Title Defense: +4 Any Other Title Defense: +2
Proposal B WWE/World Title Defense: +7 Intercontinental/US Title Defense: +5 Tag Team Title Defense: +5 Any Other Title Defense: +2
This should be easy enough to add since we already determine a title defense. So when there is a title defense (via pin, DQ, countout however they retain) then the opponent also recieves championship match bonus. Species proposed making it 50% of the title defense so its outlined that way above. Also had my own numbers proposal so please choose A or B (whether you are in favor or its just what you prefer if it passes anyhow). I was trying to make it an even 5 for the majority of defenses US/IC/TagTeams, 3 for "other" (read Womens) and a solid 7 for a WWE Championship shot. I think our tag teams could use that little bump up when they finally get a shot at the belts.
#4 Match Guidelines Isn't really a proposal or a vote... but please add anything to the language you would like to and at the end of this we can summarize it all and someone can put it in the official scoring thread.
1. Match rules are defined - i.e. how a winner will be delcared - including but not limited to pinfall, submission, 10 count, escape of cage, over the top rope, first blood, something on a pole, ladder, I Quit, Ultimate X, Monsters Ball, Hangman's Horror, Inferno match, Iron Man, Lumberjack, Scaffold match, Strip match, Evening Gown, Pillow fight, Boxing fight, Sumo match, _____ Brawl, Casket match, Punjabi Prison, Hell in a Cell, Guantlet, War Games etc. 2. An opening bell indicating the start of the match 3. An ending bell and winner declared 4. Situtations currently confirmed to NOT be considered a match including but not limited to - Arm Wrestling, Masterlock Challenge, Contract Signing, staredown, meet and greet, press conference
Its interesting. When going through the List of Match Types they have arm wrestling, boxing and sumo grouped together. So I think we should vote on those specifically.
Is the following considered a match for our league purposes? Arm Wrestling? Boxing? Sumo? |

Question: If a champion loses his belt, does he get anything extra for being involved in a title bout but losing his belt? Right now if Orton lost the belt on Raw he'd get 15 points. That may need to be adjusted.

Maybe you put the participation points on the other side? so it would be title win/defense or participation points...

I like rewarding a Chamber winner, and Chamber participants, but I see no reason the first guy eliminated doesn't get at least 15, equal to a regular singles loss.
If that was changed to 6th place = 15, then I am in favor. Other thoughts there?

Its hard to keep the scoring increments balanced without dipping below 15 - but as you can see even with that JBL racked up a 45 point score which is only two less than he got with the original layout. 99.99% of the time the Chamber is the main event, its only on PPV so you are at a minimum of 25 for being in it, and 45 assuming its likely main event.
For comparison's sake - those getting last in the Rumble's and Battle Royal only get a 10. All of this is eligible to be tweaked, just a guideline but I still think even dipping to 13 baseline gives them a plenty good score for the show. It still beats out a tag match too.

I disagree. PPV and Main Event points are just extra nuggets - I think it's wrong to have someone get less than 15 for what is equal to (and in previous scoring has always been counted as) a singles match.

All 3 items have passed. We just need to clarify:
- Chamber Scoring: 13 points for 6th, or 15? (I vote 15) - I suggest we call proposal 3 above "Championship Match Points", defined as: All participants in a Championship Match get one of: title defense points, Championship Match points, or Championship Win points, as appropriate.

Agreed on the Championship Match Points.
I'm thinking a guy deserves at least 15 for a match even if it is a PPV.

Good wording on the Championship points.
15 is fine, gotta tweak the other spots up a couple points as well then.
But are we in agreement a Battle Royal is a singles match as well? For illustration purposes... if that ECW Title Battle Royal was airing at Wrestlemania afterall - those finishing from 13th-24th place would have all recieved just 10 points (plus any promo and PPV bonuses of course).

IMO, a Battle Royal is just different because there are SO MANY guys in there (typically), and quite often it's a mish-mash of jobbers with legit guys, and those that get thrown out 2 minutes in are worthless filler anyway.
Comparing this to a Chamber Match, where all 6 participants are generally Main Eventers or Upper Mid-carders is different.

How about this then... 3 point increments and then a nice 8 point jump to first. Personally, if we are doing that, I'd be comfortable making the winner a 40 point win -- but on the other hand, he'll likely have the most eliminations and rack up the bonuses anyway.
Winner gets 35 points. 2nd gets 27 3rd gets 24 4th gets 21 5th gets 18 6th gets 15 +5 points for each elimination
