0 Subject: You were asking for them... THE RUMBLE POINTS!

I don't know why it isn't listed in the rules, but a PPV *successful* main title defense gives you +20, +10 for any other title.
I think that getting in the Rumble gives you points like any regular PPV match...therefore, +12 for all the contenders.

Tazz 5
Big Show 12 - 10 = 2
Paul Heyman 10
Brock Lesnar 12 + 50 + 12 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 40 = 123
Chris Jericho 5 + 12 + 15 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 2 = 36
D-Von Dudley 12 + 40 + 25 = 77
Bubba Ray Dudley 12 + 40 + 25 = 77
Lance Storm 12 - 7 = 5
William Regal 12 - 7 = 5
Chief Morley 10
Dawn Marie = 12 - 10 = 2
Torrie Wilson = 12 + 50 = 62
Eric Bischoff 5 + 10 = 15
Randy Orton 5
Stephanie McMahon 5
Triple H 12 - 5 + 20 = 27 (he kept the belt)
Scott Steiner 12 + 30 = 42
Ric Flair 10
Charlie Haas 10 + 12 + 10 + 1 - 2 = 31 (10 points for the vignette before the match)
Shelton Benjamin 10 + 12 + 10 + 1 + 1 - 2 = 32 (same)
Kurt Angle 12 + 50 + 20 = 82
Chris Benoit 12 - 10 = 2
RVD 5 + 12 + 10 + 1 + 1 = 29
Kane 5 + 12 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 30
Shawn Michaels 12 + 15 - 4 + 10 = 33
Christopher Nowinski 12 + 15 - 4 = 23
Rey Mysterio 12 + 15 + 1 - 4 = 24
Edge 12 + 15 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 26
Christian 12 + 15 + 1 - 4 = 24
Chavo Guerrero 12 + 15 - 4 = 23
Tajiri 12 + 15 - 4 = 23
Bill DeMott 12 + 15 - 4 = 23
Tommy Dreamer 12 + 15 + 1 - 4 = 24
B2 12 + 10 - 4 = 18
Matt Hardy 12 + 10 = 22
Shannon Moore 10
Eddie Guerrero 12 + 10 - 2 = 20
Jeff Hardy 12 + 10 - 2 = 20
Rosey 12 + 10 - 2 = 20
Test 12 + 10 + 1 - 2 = 21
Stacy Kiebler 0 (I don't think she interfered. Did she?)
John Cena 12 + 10 = 22
Rikishi 12 + 10 - 2 = 20
Jamal 12 + 5 = 17
Booker T 12 + 5 + 1 - 2 = 16
A-Train 12 + 5 = 17
Maven 12 + 5 = 17
Goldust 12 + 5 - 2 = 15
Batista 12 + 5 + 1 + 1 = 19
Undertaker 12 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 10 = 32

My credits for entry order, elimination order etc.: ewrestling.com RR report. I hope everything's right.

Excellent work. I believe 40 of my points came from Team Angle assisting their fearless leader. I like that system.

I know that this is the way we decided this to work, but maybe we can make some changes for next year or something. Seems alittle off that The Benoit Angle match was one of the best that i have seen in a long time and because angle won he got 82 and benoit lost and only got 2. The bad part is that bill demott did nothing and got 23, dreamer eliminated 1 guy and got 24, along with tijeri, christian , chavo and rey misterio. Just some thoughts. What do you guys think?

maybe the 12 points for being in the rumble should be eliminated because you are getting the points for where you enter the rumble.

wiggs - i thought that too...that some tweaking might need to be done, because i think benoit got robbed. seems he oughta get more than 2 points for being in what may be the match of the year...

i'm curious - did he and angle get points for being in the main event.

personally speaking, last night was a "double" main event, as there were two world title type matches...

I think the +12 is fine, but that scoring should be approached from a more "how long he lasted standpoint rather than just giving extra points for early entrance and late exit.
My Rumble scoring suggestion:

exit rank + 12 - entrance rank + # eliminated.

MITH, so you say eliminate the 15 for being the 1st 1-10 entrants and so on>?

didn't we agree that both title matches were going to be +25 for main event status? In which case HHH would be 40 and Steiner would be 65.

i honestly don't think we oughta change the Rumble scoring after the fact, for integrity's sake. not saying anyone would be self-thinking on this part, but like i said, it's an integrity issue. however, for next year...

hopefully, this league will go on long term - and as it does, we'll be able to expand our rosters, because there are plenty of folks out there.

i do, however, think we might have said something about the double main event.

Use the formula just as I wrote it, the winner counts as the #30 elimination and also gets his 40 points for winning.

Brock entered #29, exited #30, eliminated 4 and won (Rumble points only here):
12 + 30 - 29 + 4 + 40 = 57

Y2J entered #2 exited #14 and eliminated 6:
12 + 14 - 2 + 6 = 30

RVD entered #12 exited # 26 and eliminated 2:
12 + 26 - 12 + 2 = 28

Edge entered #5, exited #9 and eliminated 3:
12 + 9 - 5 + 3 = 19

Kane entered #22, exited #28 and eliminated 3:
12 + 28 - 22 + 3 = 21

Taker entered #30, exited #29 and eliminated 5:
12 + 29 - 30 + 5 = 16
(If the consensus thinks it's apropriate to give a bonus for finishing in the top four I feel it should be small. In all honesty I do not feel Taker necessesarily deserves more points than Edge and certainly not more than RVD or Y2J for the rumble.

Goldust entered #27, exited #15 and eliminated 0:
12 + 15 - 27 + 0 = 0
I think wigg has a valid point in #4, and that while something should be done to adjust Benoit's score as well, this goes a long way toward correcting the difference.

Booker T entered #24, exited #16 and eliminated 1
12 + 16 - 24 + 1 = 5

Bill DeMott entered #9, exited #4 and eliminated 0
12 + 4 - 9 + 0 = 7

Chris Nowinski entered #3, exited #2 and eliminated 0:
12 + 2 - 3 + 0 = 11
If there's a flaw in this, it's here. I don't know if I feel that Nowinski deserves 11 points, but it's certainly better that the 23 he gets otherwise.

Oh, I agree that the rumble should be scored according to the point system we agreed on. But it should obviously be changed for the future. I was under the impression that both title matches(World and WWE) counted as main events. If that's an issue there should be a vote.

hey, i'm all about what works best in the long haul. i haven't been in any of the other WWE leagues going on here, but this one looks pretty intensive and complex, so it's a learning process...

BH - you've done a few - where does this one rank?

Ok, of course we're just getting started to the game so some rules can be changed in the future. One thing's for ceratin, and that's that I FORGOT TO ADD THE MAIN EVENT POINTS! :(
The owners of Angle and Benoit will get +10 points tomorrow.

Yeah, those 4 guy were what I agreed to. Honestly, if you lose the main event, you should definitely get a significant amount of positive points.

Absolutely no adjustments for this year; live with it.

My other leagues had nothing even close to this system, so there's nothing to compare it to, but I do think that the Rumble points were WAY too high all around, from Brock on down. It's really like being in a regular match (less than that, actually) unless you're #1 or #2, among the last 4, or last a long time. Taker did next to nothing, although I'd still give him more than Bill Demott. Honestly, I'd give Brock fewer points than RVD or Jericho, even if he did win.

My modest proposal (I'll accept many changes)

1. Subtract the entry number from the elimination number (this gives Brock +1).

2. Triple that number. A guy who lasts 15 slots deserves about 45 points even if he doesn't win.

3. Three bonus points each for #1 or #2. More if they speak.

4. 3 bonus points for #27, #28, #29 eliminated. Even if they enter late, these guys clearly deserve something.

5. 1 point for each man eliminated.

6. 15 points to the winner. If he enters that late, he doesn't deserve much more than that. It's more about how he does than if he wins.

Someone want to do some math there?

Goldust entered #27 and was the 15th wrestler eliminated. By your system, he gets -36. I don't believe even the worst rumble appearance should be that much of a liability.

Steiner and HHH weren't in the main event. It was a title match, not a main event. Other example of title match not main eventing before the brand extension: St. Valentine's Day Massacre '99, The Rock vs Mankind (Last man standing). So it doesn't mean that a title match always has to be a main event.

Could have been a "double main event" situation though, with both title belts being defended. Not sure one should get the nod over the other as far as Sunday goes.

Could we please have a new tally for total Rumble points. First, did HHH/Steiner get main event points or not? I am of the opinion that all WWE heavyweight and World title matches should be Main events. If rules regarding this were clear before the PPV started, please point it out. Next, mIST forgot to add the main event points, and said he would correct this by adding 10 points to Benoit and Angle. But being in the PPV was +12 and the main event was +25, not +22. He should add 13 points, not 10.

i believe WORLD TITLE matches, no matter placement on the card, are the main event. because either they both were, or neither were.

BUTT

Now to me, the 2 +12's look like Lesnar got 2 for being in the Rumble, and the main event.

So we are saying the scoring has officially changed since then, even though the wording hasn't.

Glad we can clear this up.

This is irrelevant. The scoring change proposals were made a few days after this was posted.
