Carlito's brother has more TV time (3 secs) in the past 2 months than Carlito. Well done WWE.

Why exactly do we have Y2J pin Punk? in his hometown? killing all championship momentum? when Y2J couldn't even get on the PPV?

agreed.
Why do we have JBL still in the title picture? Why did Batista interupt Kane? Wouldn't that be Rey's job? Why did we get 3 secs of Primo? To lower his level to the same of Carlito? Why did D'Lo get a title shot?
After a few decent weeks we get back to the old "throw it together" booking.

And there was a simple way to give meaning to some of the other matches.... we have 4 guys in the "Championship Scramble" along with Punk.
So why not pick 8 guys have 4 qualifying matches over the next few weeks? A simple way to give some value to random matches. Or even 16 guys in a mini-tourney the next 2-3 weeks. You could have the same final result with those 4 getting in, but you aren't just treading water til then and can use it to further storylines (i.e. HBK does a run-in and costs Y2J his qualifying match).

Now GO, that's just the kind of advanced planning that would prevent you from being a WWE writer.

want to see more examples of how great they are? 411 review of Summerslam... ECW Championship: Matt Hardy def. Mark Henry (c) via DQ (Bullsh.t) Seriously? 20 seconds of action followed by a DQ finish? Really WWE? REALLY?!
How much of a b!tch does Mark Henry look like? Not only did he take a Twist of Fate in less than 30 seconds, but he then got his ass kicked post-match too. And then as if b!tching out Henry wasn't bad enough, they bury Matt Hardy as well by having Jeff run out to make the save, and play HIS music when the Hardys stand victorious.
Everything about this was awful. Good thing they made that shiny new belt for ECW just so they should $h!t all over it.

I'll try to watch RAW about this Scramble, but per my WO newsletter:
Five participants will be taking place in this match which is set for Unforgiven and these are the current champion CM Punk, JBL, Kane, Batista and John Cena. The match will last 20 minutes and anyone who scores a pinfall or submission during that duration will become the new champion
So, if Kane pins someone in minute 3, he wins the championship (for 30+50), then Batista pins him (30+50) etc etc until the LAST person with a pin/submission wins and becomes champion before the 20 minutes is up.........right?
So there could be multiple title switches in this one match, right??

At the end, in the official books (do they have that?) are they going to say (ex.) Batista was champion, then Kane, then so and so, then so and so ... all in the same night? Or will they just go by who ends up with it? Just sounds a lot like the old Hardcore title matches that were set time limits. Big Bossman FTW !
I would guess if they are officially recognized title changes (per WWE) then each change is points but there is only 1 match.

To paraphrase what Adamle said:
- When someone scores a pinfall or submission, they will immediately be recognized as the new champion.....until another pinfall or submission is recorded, when THAT participant will be recognized as the new champion.
- He specifically said he expects "the title to change hands multiple times"
- The last person to be champion when the 20 minutes is up keeps the title
We need to have a consensus, but I think it's perfectly clear that each pinfall or submission is indeed a title change.
That being said, I agree that it's one match. So Punk would be the only one to get defense points, and everyone gets one set of "Championship Match" points. If Kane (for example) wins first, he doesn't get defense points when he loses to JBL....etc etc............right??
But now that I think about it, if we have only 1 match, I was wrong to say each pin in the match would result in 30+50.....I would interpret it in this fashion:
1 - The final winner, scoring the last pinfall/submission, gets 30 for the win 2 - Everyone gets championship match points 3 - Any changes of the titles should result in a 50 point championship win in the midst of the match........but not a match win as it's all 1 match and the final person to leave with the title wins the match
- The championship can change hands several times throughout the 20 minute time frame. Whoever the champion is when the clock stops will officially be recognized as the World Heavyweight Champion.~
That is from the WWE website so I don't see the title changes as perfectly clear unless they are each recognized by the WWE title history after the match. It makes it sound like musical chairs in that whomever hold the title when the music stops is the champion as opposed to winning the title and getting your arm raised. I still think it comes down to how the WWE recognizes any title changes that may occur during the 20 minutes,

Yeah, like if Flair was in the match got the first pin and then subsequently lost it... but afterwards they started to claim he was 17 time world champion. Then obviously its an official title win.
Personally I feel its gonna more like musical chairs as Zyre suggests and its just gonna be the one final win at the end.

I would never ask this of anyone, and I would try to do it myself if I kept up with Smackdown more ... but it would be cool if we also kept wrestler's records. Like you could see someone went 22-12-4 in a particular season or something. lol !
Yeah I agree about the records Rude, seems like I saw them one time compiled for a year's worth of shows, might have been on PWInsider at some point.

and there ya go... via 411
Note on who will be recognized as Champion...
- According to WWE.com, the title can change hands many times during the Championship Scramble but only the final winner of the match will be recognized as the new champion, not all the people who may "win" the title during the scramble itself.

I could be wrong but I actually think I heard Adamle say "whoever has it last will be the one recognized as champion" and indicated the others will never count as champion.
