Well the good news is that I doubt they would let him do that promo if something hadn't been worked out. So either he's taking a leave of absence for a few months or he is just staying after all.
So thats good for all of us cause he'd be missed if he just left with no intention of returning. From a fantasy perspective if does go away for a while I'll obviously need to trade him. But I would think that he'd be a great addition to a non-contender to sit on til next season. So if anyone wants to explore trade options feel free to email me. I obviously wouldn't move him til after MITB PPV but perhaps we could work something out.

Possible spoilers below if you haven't read the Raw results for next week.
I could see it going like this...
- Punk wins the belt. - Cena is "fired" (he is apparently hurt and needs a break). - Punk gets a short vacation, which he has indicated he needs. - Emphasis is put on how to get the belt back and a push is made to other belts as well. - A build is made towards either SS or the Sept PPV.
Sweet promo, haven't seen the spoilers yet for Monday because I wanna be surprised. I would be interested in Punk, I think he's going to end up staying personally. 4th of July baby! Hope you all got some good fireworks :)

Well I guess Tree can confirm in better than me but it seems like they are using a similar storyline (on a much grander scale) of the one he used when he left ROH... which was he won the belt on his "last night" and then kind of held it hostage for a few months as a heel -- complete with using it to sign his WWE contract on -- and defending it til he eventually really did leave.
