This was the best WWE PPV in years. Every match gave you as much or more than you could ask for.
Great Main Event. I did not see Punk leaving with that belt. I can't wait to see what VKM has up his sleeve. And for all the idiots who say he's terrible in the ring, Cena did a nice job. He's not the greatest technical wrestler ever but he absolutely held his own and was not outclassed by CM Punk.
Tomorrow night's Raw is must watch, both as a fan and a member of this league. What exactly happens to the title tomorrow and what happens to GO's workhorse?

Great PPV ... I think tonight was a good example of why we need specialty points. Mark Henry getting the same points as MitB winners ADR and D Bryan just doesn't make sense.
I'm watching the main event again this morning on dvd and my god. I can't get over how crazy this crowd was. Punk entered to a crowd yelling as if they had each won the lottery. And Cena enters to a round of boos only Casey Anthony could hear.
If you did not see this PPV, find a way. The whole card was good, but the electricity of this ME shatters anything this company has done in years.

It was fun to not have everyone sitting on their hands most of the night like they are at the library.
Tree (or anyone really), do you know anyone who was there? Its hard to tell because the camera stays on the right most of the match but was the crowd standing for the entire main event? It looks that way which I'm not sure I've ever seen, including even Hogan vs Andre/Macho/Warrior or the Austin/Rock era.

It was an awesome ppv; finally Cena's stupid "five knuckle shuffle" move was countered; don't think I've ever seen that. Definite match of the year candidate, it had everything that makes a match compelling.

^Agree with Rude, I would say if more than 4 people are involved in a match there should be some kind of bonus for the winner. We all know its fixed, but its still statistically harder to win.

Can someone give me the Cliff Notes version of the cena/punk storyline? What made this ending so shocking....and shockingly good?

So then he beat Cena for the title in his hometown of Chicago like he said he would with the whole crowd pretty much anti-Cena and walked the hell out with the belt after a great match.
Likely this just means he'll take a break and come back in December etc. or else I doubt they would let him do all of that.
This was the second big promo in this series --- the infamous "Ice Cream promo" Punk demands Ice Cream

So ROH's next show (and first TV taping with the big new investor) is in Chicago? Well thats interesting...

well, if Punk's contract has the standard 90 day no compete, then it won't make a difference.
then again, this is CM Punk. just imagine if he ECW's the title right into a garbage can.

Well I wouldn't be shocked if its all part of some working arrangement. Like he takes a break for a few months - part of the storyline - and while he's gone they let him act as though he really stole the belt and left.
And part of that agreement was he could work ROH. At the very least I expect he'll be there for the fans in attendance live... but he wouldn't be a part of the TV product they are filming.

Just read an article which is speculating just that... that everything that has been mentioned in the above promo seems to be set in motion.
Punk mentioned the "doofus son in law" taking over... just happened. Punk mentioned glad handed yes man like John Laurinautis who all of a sudden is all over TV. Punk mentioned Colt Cabana multiple times -- who front row at the PPV and all of sudden has stopped taking indy bookings.
Damn, looking at last time Punk was in Chicago with ROH... look at the card and consider how many of these guys are in now or got some run in WWE/TNA... and Daniel Bryan Danielson and TNA's Jack Evans aren't even on the card.
Nigel (Desmond Wolfe), Alex Shelley, Sydal = Evan Bourne, Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Austin Aries, LowK/Kaval, Jamie Noble, Brian Kendrick, Homicide, Jimmy Rave, a visiting Matt Hardy and Colt Cabana vs Punk obviously.
