Welcome to the re-booted and better than ever Season 18 of RWF.
Here is a list of changes being implemented starting with S18. I’ll post here for now and will wait for any changes or add-on’s and then will add to the Scoring/Rules thread after everything is set.
RWF Changes Schedule. We're going with 3 roughly 4 month seasons. A schedule will be outlined in the Waivers Transactions thread prior to each season. Just after halfway we’ll split into a Fatal Four and a Final Four with multi week head to head matchups. Final Four goes head to head for the title. Fatal Four goes head to head for the most lottery balls. Draft order considerations for Final Four will be based on their regular season finish and 1-4 seeding regardless of playoff success.
Keeper Guidelines There will be 3 keepers, still lose top scorer. If you have a “Prospect” defined who still has less than 100 points, you can carry them over. Once the draft starts and all draft pick trades have been addressed, that prospect will just be your lowest and last draft pick choice.
Trading From this point forward, clean slate for everybody… Trading – no more trading 1st + 2nd to same manager one season Trading - no more trading of your own 1st Round in back to back seasons Trading - no more trading beyond upcoming season
Prospect Guidelines A wrestler is prospect eligible if they had not scored 100 or more points in the previous season.
The prospect will need to be picked and declared a prospect during the draft in any round and he is your prospect til he hits 100. If he never does you can keep in subsequent offseason’s and just forfeit your worst pick at draft time. The prospect will remain on your bench until he hits 100 points or you call him up to your active roster. You call him to your active roster by dropping one of your other 7 talents. This add/drop of your prospect would count as your one transaction for the week.
Scoring Changes – 5 Point Stipulation Bonus There will be a 5 point bonus for participants in specialty matches. We did this a while back and I found the below from that so this should help expand on what Rude came up with.
These include but are not limited too… Hell in a Cell TLC Ironman Cage Match Ladder Match Tables Match Lumberjack Thrown into something match i.e Casket, Buried Alive, Dumpster, Car Trunk etc. Gauntlet (for primary participant only) No DQ Bra and Panties I Quit Falls Count Anywhere Multiple Falls Anything on a Pole Match Pools of Fluid Match Weapons Match Street Fight Hardcore Match Last Man Standing Elmination (i.e. Survivor Series) First Blood
Due to their unique scoring parameters, Elimination Chamber, Battle Royal and Royal Rumble matches will not be included.
If a match does not specifically fit the above named stipulation matches, it must pass BOTH of the following criteria to be counted for a 5 point "stipulation match" bonus at the discretion of the scoring team and league:
1 - It must be given some special name - i.e. "Kiss my A$$ Match" - 2 - It must involve something out of the ordinary - be it an act the winner/loser must do, or involve some weapon/aparatus/venue change from the ordinary, or involve an unique way of winning (i.e. the winner must hog-tie the loser) - in order to count.
RWF Season 18 Schedule Week 1 - Royal Rumble PPV 1/29/12 (usually this will be Jan 1st) Week 2 – 2/6 Week 3 – 2/13 Week 4 – 2/19 (Elimination Chamber) Week 5 – 2/27 Week 6 – 3/5 Week 7 – 3/12 Week 8 – 3/19 Week 9 – 3/26 Week 10 – 4/1 (Wrestlemania XXVIII – End of Regular Season) Week 11 – 4/2 – Semi-Final Playoffs Week 12 – 4/9 – Semi-Final Playoffs Week 13 – 4/16 – Finals Week 14 – 4/23 - Finals Week 15 – 4/29 (RWF Super Bowl – End at Extreme Rules PPV)

Farn was tied up much of today and instead of waiting around to get the aesthically pleasing color chart I just posted my boring black and white to get this thing started... the above is a rough outline of changes. If anyone things of anything to add I will tweak and then put in the Rules thread.
One thing I need to hash out is how to conduct the lottery and the percentage of balls for the Fatal Four teams.

Rude I like it... think that 50 should somehow be even high though but I can't figure who to take away from.

My level of interest is a bit low right now. I may be interested in punting this season.
If you have interest in Miz, Swagger, or HHH, send me offers.

I am probably looking to sell a S19 2nd rounder for a mid level scorer.

Yeah Rude was right in an email to me... we dont need a sixth round cause of the extra keeper... i am not sure how to fix wiggs and tree trade but we dont need the extra player.
Or we can just roll with a third bench spot for the short season thats cool too.

With less managers, shouldn't we do 6 starters, 2 bench and a prospect? That's how i've been planning.

Reason why i'm thinking that is because last season in any given week you know that 50 guys made an impact to our league (10 teams X 5 starters) ... so now it would be 40? Why not 8 teams X 6 starters = 48. Still less than last season but not significantly.

I agree with rude. Lets go 6 starters this season and see how it works.

6-2-1 sounds good to me, plus I still had not drafted my prospect yet.

If I were to call up my prospect, would I be able to move another scorer with less then 100 points to the prospect list, or would I need to pick a new one?

IMO the designation of a propsect doesn't need to occur until you post your Week 1 lineup. We've been listing it as we draft but that doesn't seem necessary to me.

So can I use primo this week and move colt cabana to my prospect list, or no?

No I think the way we intended was only that guy you draft as a prospect could be used in that spot and once you call them up and drop a regular guy thats it u wait til next draft to fill again.
I think it would be ok to trade prospect rights though to a team with an empty prospect slot. Another good trade chip. We can add that to the language if everybody agrees.

Then I am going to contest the 6 starters even though I think its a good idea because that ruling didn't come in until my draft was over. I didn't count on needing a 6th starter and now do not have 1

I'll have to support wiggs on this. If you're going to hold tight to the predraft rule of declaring who your prospect is as you draft him then you can't change the rule on how many starters there are after the draft has started.

Instead of changing 1 rule and not another, let's see what others think. GO is driving so I'm gonna open this up to discussion/vote:
1. Should you be able to change your prospect declaration before you post your week 1 lineup?
2. Should the # of starters be changed from 5 to 6?

I also vote
1) yes 2) yes
There are guys that people had on their roster at the end of last season that they clearly imagined as prospects so I think it is only fair that they can designate them that way now before the season starts.

I'm working on scoring and standings charts setup for the new season, should have something ready by tonight's RAW.
If anyone has time to score the PPV that would help.

So I want to confirm going forward how the prospects will be defined. Are we going to allow people to switch prospect eligible players into the prospect slot before the season starts or was that just a one time exemption for wiggs due to the on the fly rules adjustments?
I definitely don't want that spot continually being updated, cause thats a whole lot extra to track. I think it should just be declared at draft time, and/or carried over. But I don't think it would be a big deal to allow some rearranging of who is in that prospect slot when we post our Opening Day Week 1 rosters in Waivers/Transactions thread post draft.
And then follow up to that. Do we want to allow people to trade for a prospect defined player? Like I call a guy up and don't have a prospect... can I trade for yours and re-fill my spot?

I think it was a one time exception since this is our first go-round with it.

So Wade Barrett is out 6-8 weeks which means he's back right after Wrestlemania. So he's on the trade block and he'd be a great keeper for somebody, so if you are interested let me know.
