Subject: Roster Change Vote

I need to open this up to vote to clear up the rule.
During Week 13, I put a claim on Nikki Bella. The claim finalized on Thursday night. Of course it was past the lineup change deadline because Raw and SD had already taped.
I then made another waiver claim on Sunday for Bri Bella. Sunday is the official start of the week, which meant it was Week 14. The waiver claim was finalized Monday before Raw and I posted a new lineup featuring both Bellas before Raw started in Week 14.
GO says the claims are both Week 14 claims and therefore it was illegal. I say the claims were made in 2 separate weeks so they should have been allowed in Week 14's lineup.
Please vote "allowed" or "not allowed" to indicate whether I should have been allowed to start both Bellas in Week 14. |

Going to vote not allowed
I see your point but if there is only 1 move allowed per roster freeze then you wouldn't be able to start them both in Week 14. However at least you'll get them both for their match at Wrestlemania.

I vote not allowed. Only one claim can settle per roster freeze period.

Here's the wording from the "RWF Scoring Thread"...
1 add/drop max per week
Note: it says "per week", not "per freeze".

When the rule was implemented I took it to mean 1 move every 7 days. I was ok with that. Then it was indicated as long as it was done in a way that it still only counted for 2 separate wrestling weeks. I'll live with that but I still didn't even like that. I definitely am going Not Allowed on this one.

the intent, imho, is that you cannot have two players added to begin in the same week. i need to agree with those voting NOT allowed.

If we need to expressly write it out - (and we haven't had to over all these years) then it would be something like...
In a standard week with RAW/SD A claim needs to be clear of the 24 hour window and be finalized and a new roster posted by 8:00 PM EST Monday. Any claim started after 8:01 PM Sunday (and therefore not clearing before 8PM EST Monday) would be effective for the the following weeks roster freeze and is your one add/drop for that following week.
Adjust accordingly if the roster freeze is earlier due to a PPV or if the Week starts on a SD i.e. during the playoffs sometimes.
But I thought everyone clearly understood 1 add/drop per "Weekly Roster XX" and adjust the timing of the 24 hour waiver period accordingly to get your claim to clear before then for the week.

The rule says 1 add/drop max per week which I take as being to the active roster itself, not just the list of a team.
Nikki Bella was claimed to his roster during Week 13, but not actually a part of that scoring week roster. Brie claimed during in Week 14.
One had to have been in the active roster Week 13 and one in Week 14...so--Not Approved

I took the rule as to mean 1 waiver claim per weekly period regardless of roster freeze so I vote ALLOWED

I might have to change my vote.
Question: Can I claim a guy in W5, put him on my roster list, claim a guy in W12, put him on my roster list, then put both in as active on say W15?

Its called a "WEEKly Roster Freeze" so I figured one add per WEEK was reasonably clear for when you post the lineup for that freeze that week. One guy being added to your team. And nobody has done anything but that for like 8 seasons... so why would all of a sudden it be different and someone try to challenge it?
We could just let this one slide and write it more clearly, but it just seems silly.

Nailer - you can do all the start/bench moves you want any week, this is just to limit the number of guys added/dropped with each scoring period.
Created to slow down guys like ME who would and could make 4-5 moves in a single week cause I'm crazy like that.

I think I see 5-3 for Not Allow the 2nd move - and it being effective the following week.

I think what we'll do here is allow Farn's roster moves due to the rule not being spelled out clearly.
Then we'll write a more detailed explanation of what one move per week means and go with it going forward.

If I lose by the difference, this won't hold up :)
