with news that CM Punk may not be doing much wrestling for months, and Brock Lesnar stepping up to play a major part on TV, i may be in the market to move Lesnar, Cesaro, and maybe some other scorers.
ugh. rebuilding is not fun.

If anyone has time to score WWE Main Event and that Battle Royal it would be very helpful. I can't figure out order of elimination without actually seeing it... otherwise I can try on Monday.

I'll look into it and help with scoring the royale.
I'd think in the case of Fandango its very similar to Ricardo introducing ADR. Or Road Dogg introducing the NAO. Or R-Truth singing his theme song. We gave it points early on as it advanced a personality and was basically a fresh promo. Then we stopped giving it points because it became redundant with no new advancement to the storyline.

So I guess if he continues to do just say his name with no tweaking of it to make it specific vs. his opponent etc. we'll switch it to just being a part of the match with no extra 5. 4 weeks seems like a reasonable time period to determine... this would be week 3 of assessing it.
Anyone know who the curtain jerker was on Monday? Ricardo/DelRio maybe?

Me and Rude will be in the house for the Roanoke show tonight. Look for our signs:
"I could out drink Andre!" "Farn is 0-21!"

I hope farn is 0-21 is huge and in a bright color. That would be worth some extra point in my book :)

Out of curiosity, why do we score Main Event but not Superstars? I'm sure it was discussed years ago but I can't remember what the logic was.

Cause its not really a main event of an important show. Its really more like the first hour of Smackdown or a pre-show. Also, I've noticed they often do the best match of the night first for some odd reason and then end it with a jobber match.

I thought airing on television was ruled to be the deal breaker for scoring a show.

We score it, we don't give main event points on the hour show cause its really not main eventing anything.
If we did score all tv that we'd be scoring Saturday Morning Superstars too... and I think there is one more with crappy matches each week.

Yeah, this week was an odd example of the setup. 18 minute opening match and ends with Tons of Funk vs. 3MB in 2 minute match.

Probably should get this debate out of the way early:
Does Curtis Axel get 2 wins from Monday? It seems like it was an absurd continuation/restart thing but WWE.com is listing it as 2 wins and the company is pretending it was too. I guess another argument could be made whether he gets 18 for the victory or 30 because the end of the whole thing was called a "forfeit" by HHH which is basically a full victory.
I'm not arguing for either. I'm going to make the playoffs anyway so it won't affect much. I'm ok with 1 win or 2. Just helping GO in advance.

I lean towards one 18 point win + 30... I remember thinking that was gonna be messy.
We should be all caught up by this afternoon so we are ready for Payback PPV and the regular season finale.
Thats also the trade deadline... I've got Kingston and Fandango for sale since both injured.

Alright RJ, lets go! Its time for the 2nd season to begin and you're just the first of 2 victims. Feel free to waive the white flag early and often. No promises that after 21 awful seasons my team will even notice but its worth a try.

Remember a while back Farn tried to claim McGuillicutty but already had him. Could be a difference maker. I bet he gets a squash match each week to continue to build him up for a while too.

Even funnier (well not to Tree) was that I tried to give Tree McGillicutty for Cesaro. I think he said he didn't think much of McGillicutty (paraphrasing). He then traded Cesaro for Ryder and a #2...

yea. that's not funny at all. (and i think what i said was that i didn't see the WWE giving him an opportunity)
although that being said, i'd still likely lose him after this season as he'd be my top scorer, so the draft pick is a tad more valuable.
Wondering if a wrestler gets an extra 5 for a post match beatdown. Case in point... figured Slater this week on Raw got 5 points for being at ring side for the Mahal/Ziggler match. Does he get an extra 5 for attempting to beat down Ziggler after the match or not?

No, we've always considered that one 5 point segment all rolled into one appearance essentially.
Same for the guy in the ring getting jumped, its all part of the same segment.

If Heath walked out at the beginning and then went backstage and came back out, that would be a way to get an extra -- thats how SHIELD has been racking up some extra points.
This was pretty horrible http://tcwwrestling.com/ I watched one episode online after I read about them and this makes OVW and Danny Davis look like Heyman's ECW by comparison. The one thing I did wonder about is why Lance Hoyt never has any real success with the WWE or TNA. The dude has a great look and is pretty agile and athletic for a guy his size. He is still just 31 so is not too old yet.
On a different note has anyone heard or seen if Paul Burchill is still wrestling? I loved his Ripper persona in OVW and I thought the WWE really missed on Paul.
He may be 40+ and have had recovered from a string of serious injuries over the year but this vid from this past weekend of the WSM shows he can still do what he do
Burchill is mostly retired at this point, doing indy dates now and then. i believe he's back in England, where he's a full time firefighter.
i think Hoyt's problem was that he was never quite able to get over with fans, not able to latch onto the "it" factor he had in the Texas indies...
that being said, Hoyt, now wrestling under the name Lance Archer, is kicking ass for New Japan and holds the NWA World Tag Team Titles (for whatever that's worth) with Davey Boy Smith, Jr.

He should get that back tattoo removed... ha its like his Lance Hoyt and Vance Archer combined.
If you guys get a chance watch the main event from this week's NXT show, the Shield vs Adrian Neville, Corey Graves, and Xavier Woods. All 6 guys tore it up, I especially loved Ambrose's work and Xavier Woods (aka Consequences Creed) has some awesome offense.

Probably looking at tanking the upcoming season with Sheamus out 4-6 months. 1st rd. pick available as well as AJ/Cesaro... looking for top draft picks obviously!
