On the advice of wiggs and Mike D I bought this one on Friday. Enjoying almost every minute of it so far.

One thing that is killing me right now is how hard it is to win a match. I mean geez, I have probably won 10 matches out of 60 (including tag matches). And I just got slaughtered in the Rumble. I have no idea how to throw guys over the top rope. No mention of it in the booklet either. So needless to say I had no hope there.

I have been using HBK in Season Mode just because his kick is one of the easier ones to initiate. Just get the guy down and load up. Some of the others are pretty hard to get right.

Anybody got any tips or thinks I should know?

I was looking into buying that, I am bored with Tony Hawk and gonna trade it back in...

is it really that difficult?
and is the loading as annoying as last year?
story mode was cool, but I felt like it was
repetitive and I just kept running in circles, literally.

Farn, it's been awhile since I've played it due to other games, but I believe if you are close enough to the ropes and irish whip someone they go over the rope. Make sure in the options you have moved the difficulty level down. If you have, then after playing for a while it will become much easier. It is indeed challenging at first, which is a good thing.

Don't forget what I said about Def Jam Vendetta-----amazing gameplay and fighting system.

ah, that Royal Rumble tip makes sense. I guess just because I am so new to it I still havent' quite mastered anything yet. Its very frustrating. And I don't think I am on an easy level. And I don't think I can adjust it midseason. So for now I will continue to get my butt handed to me.

As for the Def Jam I will rent it once I slow down on this one. I just decided to go with Smackdown because of the familiarity with the characters.

I had the same Rumble issue on SD! Shut your Mouth.....the way I'd always do it was to irish whip someone across the ring, then run at the and dropkick/clothesline/punch/whatever right when they hit the ropes, that would usually throw them over.

I hated one thing about Def Jam.. you pull off your finisher - and if it didn't finish the guy - you were at your weakest point and could be finished yourself. Anyone else feel that way?

GO, if you use your finisher too early, which you can do, it certainly won’t finish off the opponent. But, if you wait until your opponent’s health gets down to the critical range, then the finisher WILL finish the opponent off. Sounds like you never picked up on that dude. It becomes essential later on in the story mode because the opponents are tough. You don’t get to use multiple finishers against them and have to “save” your finisher. Your health goes down slightly by saving it but stays up high, and can easily go back to finisher level.

stupid game.

I am using Brock. I was teamed up with Steiner and we have held the tag titles for a while. Well, they make Steiner hit Bischoff with a chair and suspend him. Then they make me defend both belts against HHH and Flair in a 2 on 1 match with no DQ. So both Flair and HHH stayed in the ring the whole time. I never landed a move and got beat in about 3 minutes.

Felt like real life the way its set up for HHH to never lose.

HA! Yeah, that's realistic for sure. Now you have to go for the World title bro!

On any other wrestling game, NO DQ means get the chair.....and then just beat the crap out of both guys...hit your F5 on HHH, then pin Flair.

He is old.

damn, I am somewhat disappointed. I paid all those Smackdown dollars to unlock the Million Dollar Man and Superfly and neither of them has their theme music coming to the ring. That was half the reason I unlocked them. Seeing the Million Dollar Dream and Superfly flying off the top was definately solid though.
