I guess I will open this up for debate. Please state if you have a different proposal and we can consider it.

This is for the original win of the title:

Heavyweights- 50
IC/US- 30
Tag- 30
Womens- 25
Cruiser (and Hardcore if it ever returned)- 15

This is for a defense:

Heavyweights- 15
IC- 10
Tag- 10
Womens- 8
Cruiser (and Hardcore if it ever returned)- 5

Vote Yes or No. If you vote no please provide a short answer as to what you would change.

I like the direction you're going but I'll refrain from voting just yet because I think we'd be better off keeping the Cruiser and Women's titles at the same values. I also think it might be best to not discuss the hardcore and other now-defunct titles right now. If for example the US title was done away with and the Hardcore or European or some other title came back a few weeks later on the same show, it would probably effectivly replace the US belt and (I would think) should be scored as such.

I actually would like to change my vote to a no I misread that. I think womens and cruiserweight should be valued with the same points.

Like you said for the women, there are only so many women and this is their only belt. Same for cruiserweights. I cant imagine seeing rey, ultimo or chavo just to name a few winning the World titles.

an absolute NO as explained in a different thread, and below as well:

Primary - World Champ, WWE Champ

because, these are clearly the "Top Dog" on each brand....

Secondary - World Tag Team Champ, WWE Tag Team Champ, Intercontinental Champ, U.S. Champ

the Tag straps are for the best tag team, and that deserves something significant. the IC and the US champs are the secondary singles champs on their respective brands...

Tertiary - Women's Champ, Cruiser Champ, and any other title they invent or resurect (i.e. the hardcore title), until we can determine otherwise.

this is more for balance than anything else - the women's champ is on raw, the Cruiser champ on smackdown.

each brand has THREE singles champs, and ONE tag champ. there should be a balance.

ok, your reasons are all fine. but how bout instead of writing "tertiary" you assign some points. great vocab words do nothing to speed up the process.

I would say no, and below is my recommendation:

This is for the original win of the title:

Heavyweights- 50
IC/US- 30
Tag- 30
Womens / Cruiser (and Hardcore if it ever returned)- 20

I like GLs proposal

Also on a different note. There is talk that Heyman might come back to start an ECW type show for WWE. If that is the case I think we should add that show to the scoring. I just wanted to make sure that is out there before the season started.

Agreed, and that's another reason to hold off on attributring any values to any titles that don't currently exist.

the ECW show would be an interesting concept. But what if it's just taking the slot of velocity or heat? do we count it anyway?

if it were any organization besides the WWE, i'd say they planted the seeds of that based on the reactions of folks like the Dudleyz (pre-trade) when they found out that Paul E was coming over to Raw....but it's the WWE, so i dont think they actually plan things out like that...

I don't think it would/will count, unless we want a seperate vote, if we ever need to.

If an ECW show does happen and its just another repackaging of Velocity or Heat, then we obviously wouldn't score it. But if its a more substansive show with its own roster that is seperate from Raw aand SD, then I think it would add greatly to our league. We might even be able to expand our rosters. In fact we might have to if a number of wrestlers go over to that show and no longer appear on Raw or SD.

Ok, if some main eventers go to the ecw show, IE RVD, Dudleys, Rhyno other major former ECW stars then I say we count it. If it is a bunch of minor talent and they simply take a slot from them then I guess we dont.

I guess what I am saying is if the same guys wrestling on the ECW version that do on heat then I guess it isnt worth scoring it.

Why would it have to be main eventers in order for us to score it? I think it would be great if guys like Stamboli and Rico become main eventers on another show that will regularly score points for us. If it winds up being considered a lesser show with lesser talent where those types of guys do become main eventers (as opposed to current headliners like the Dudleys), perhaps we could water down the scoring a little to reflect that. With Heat and Velocity, those shows are almost like hour-long commercals for the bigger shows that they are associated with. But a show with a seperate roster of its own would be a different story.

Velocity and heat are shows with guys from both smackdown and Raw right now and we dont score it. Why would we start just because it changed names.

agreed.

unless its a seperate show with a seperate roster i don't agree with scoring it. because then anyone who has a guy on both smackdown and the new show will have a shot at double the points.

I really don't see a 3rd show being made any different than Velocity or Heat is now though.

I recommend we just take a wait and see attitude and then we can go from there depending on what happens.

Wiggs I think you're not reading my post correctly. I'm saying if there's a new show with a seperate roster then we should score it. I'm also saying that we shouldn't insist that the talent on such a show consist of all headliners. If they take the midcarders and scrubs away from Raw and SD and make them the primary talent on a new show, I think it would be great for our league.

i guess we are leaving the scoring alone. nobody seems to want to get a new proposal going so unless it happens today we will stick with the old scoring system.

I think it could use some tweeking as well. Perhaps we'll try to find some adjustments that everyone likes over the course of Season 3 to have set in place for Season 4.
