I believe they have just as many superstars, and in my opinion better ones.
I would take RVD Cena Booker The Dudleys Chavo Show Bradshaw Taker Rey any day.
Do you think it is worse because it is taped? maybe because the writers arent as good. What are your opinions? |

I can't believe THIS is the lineup for the PPV:
Rajah.com :: News 5/14/2004 Updated Card for Sunday’s Judgment Day Pay-Per-View Filed under: News- Henry Walk @ 5/14/2004 Here is the complete line up for Judgment Day this Sunday:
WWE Championship Eddie Guerrero vs. John Bradshaw Layfield.
WWE Tag Team Championship Charlie Haas & Rico w/ Miss Jackie vs. Hardcore Holly & Billy Gunn.
U.S. Championship John Cena vs. Rene Dupree.
Cruiserweight Championship Jacqueline vs. Chavo Guerrero w/ Chavo Classic Chavo will wrestle with one hand tied behind his back.
The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer vs. Booker T.
The Dudley Boyz vs. Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio.
Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie.
Mordecai makes his debut.
Why do Torrie and Dawn Marie get in there?
Rico/Haas is pretty funny.......but Holly and Gunn? The comment about Rico being Gunn's former valet does make it kinda stupid that he's "repulsed" by Rico.
Chavo with 1 arm behind his back seems interesting.
"Mordecai makes his debut"? WTF does THAT mean? Shows up? Anyone care to guess that Booker wins the match after Mordecai interference?

My boy Cena in a decent match, and that Dudley RVD/Rey should be good, but the rest of the card is hurtin'...

I don't think the lineup is THAT bad. Booker T v Taker would have been huge 12 months ago. Nothing wrong with RVD/Mystero v Dudleys. Cena v Dupree has excellent potential. Bradshaw v Eddie would be an OK ME if the writing in the buildup had been better. Eddie will obviously have to carry it but Bradshaw is capable enough at hitting the loud power spots to make it look decent, I think. Rico/Haas v Gunn/Holly isn't bad, either. Two very entertaining guys, one guy who is capable, if nothing special (Gunn) and one weak link (Holly) in the match.
I think the problem is that none of those matches really makes me want to see the PPV. Cena v Dupree and Dudleys v RVD/Mysterio should be the best matches and should have been heavily promoted. If they had received a proper buildup, this card wouldn't look so bad imo.

amazing that the WWE is making their Cruiserweight and their tag team belts look absolutely LAME on the same PPV.
Jacquiline winning it in the first place was disgusting.
and now, with some seriously quality teams on smackdown, like the bashams and the dudleys, you've got two teams that didn't even exist four weeks ago wrestling for the tag strap.
blech.

Is Konnan coming back? Is that why someone picked him up?

Konnan is apparently debuting a new gimmick as Konishiwa, a mexican-japanese transvestite, who is set to be the tag team partner of Kenzo Suzuki (aka Hirohito)....

I don't know why you guys were so down on it. Wasn't a bad PPV at all. I expected a little more from the Cena/Dupree match, but the Tag championship match was definitely better than expected, as was the Main Event.

I will admit that I didn't see this one (its not worth the hour drive to watch it) but that card was pitiful. I have zero interest in 98% of the smackdown wrestlers. McMahon needs to wake up and fix that show. And if not just cancel it.
Anybody wanna do the dirty work and score the PPV? I would but I hate Smackdown. :)

Smackdown should go live, and they should stop with the stuiped sound effects that they add in, it recks the whole show. anyone else notice that.
