Now, I'm of the impression that we don't give in-ring vignette points for people that are continuing a fight postmatch, so I didn't include points there but I'm not sure what we normally do in those cases. If they get in-ring points, then its 10 more for each.

Yeah, I started Gunn just based on crappy PPV points.
I vote all Smackdown points be cut in half due to suckiness

damn, my bad. I read the results last night. But when I scored it and got to the last match I didn't even reread it. All I remembered was Eddie keeping his belt. So.....
Mith's scoring in post 2 is accurate. Wiggs, if you want to edit the chart go ahead.
Also, I second kev's idea in post 4. Maybe we could just eliminate Snoredown all together. :)

i really don't pay much attention to how the scoring works, but how do Torri, who just won a regular match, and Chavo, who won a title match, end up with the same amount of points?

Torrie gets 30 for the win plus 12 PPV points for a total of 42.
Chavo should gett 12 (PPV) + 5 (backstage) + 30 (Singles win) + 15 Cruiser title for a total of 62.
Jacqueline should get 12 (PPV) + 5 (backstage) + 15 (Singles loss) for a total of 32.

sorry, that Chavo was a typo too I guess. He should have a 30 in that last spot.
Jacqueline I gave tag points too instead of a single. So make that 12 a 15.
This is why I score these. I get them wrong but at least it forces people to wake up and score them again. What I can't understand is why people won't score them themselves if they will do it after the fact?

lol. That's good point farn.
i know for me i generally don't score them. i just look at the numbers. and logically, comparing Torrie and Chavo to me didn't make sense...that's all.

Does Cena have title defense points included? I guess its the same omission as Chavo (and Rico and Hass?)

52 is right for Cena. 30 for the win + 12 PPV points + 10 for the title defense.

Thats fine with me, I just thought Farn said that 10 points was for the pre-match promo.

Ah, I see that in post 1. Do we usually give Cena in-ring points for his promo? Doing so means that his matches will always be worth 5 points more than every other wrestler, win or lose. If that's what we normally do, Cena gets 62.

I am obviously staying out of it since I am biased, but I think he does deserve something for doing those sweet raps! :) A minute straight of camera time and no extra points?
I know others will say - well I never got this when this guy did whatever - but obviously all situations are different and open to interpretation.

hmmm...it looks like I typed 10 for the prematch but didn't put it in the box as well.
I don't score Snoredown too often but when I do I give him points for the prematch rap and then note it. Nobody has ever said yes or no to it. But I always note it so I can't be blamed for putting it in. :)

No reason for any blame. It does seem just a little ...unfair (for lack of a better term) that every Cena win and loss will get more points than the majority of everyone else's wins and losses because of his ring-entrance routine, but I don't think there's anything that we should or can do to change that.

whoa whoa whoa.
we're giving extra points to Cena for his rap before each match????
absolutely not. if we have been, it's a mistake, and we need to fix it now.
that is part of his ring entrance. there are no points awarded for ring entrances.

Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo!!
I don't know.
If someone takes the mike and talks it up before a match scheduled match that they are in, they get in-ring vignette points. If Rock takes the mike befopre a match to say that he has finally come back to Butcrack, Iowa, he gets those points, even thos its his routine, no? What about something like the Godfather prancing his ho-train around?

I gotta agree. Giving Cena points only seems fair. He is always cutting some kind of promo against the guy he is going against. Its definately an in-ring promo, thus the points seem fair.
And like I said, I have always noted it so if you have been asleep before you can't blame me.

I actually believe I have NOT recieved points for Cena's in ring raps before (I guess except for Farn) and always thought I kind of should have. That was partly why I drafted him number 1. All the extra air time he gets.
This is how I see it and this is my arguement.
There is a difference in what he does with the promo's before each match and a standard ring entrance. It is not scripted (well maybe it is, but its irrelevant) it comes off as an unscripted and improvised rant - and is never twice the same. Not like he walks to the ring and says the same exact thing each time or is just singing along with the music. !The music stops! - he does a seperate skit - THEN they hit the bell.
Just opening up the debate.

Looks like Cena got in-ring points for weeks 1, 2, 5 (tho he didn't wrestle a match in week 5) and 6, but not weeks 3, 4 and 7. I don't know how I'd feel about a rule that says that pre-match mike points only count if they aren't part of your regular routine. I think that would cause more trouble than its worth.

then I will just say I agree with your simple assesment from the other thread. (I like to make things more complicated I guess)
"Right I agree if they speak on the mic I give points too."

I didn't think he got promo points - aren't those title defense points?

OK here's my new question - assuming the consensus agrees that Cena gets in-ring points for dropping his science, do we owe Great One 15 points for weeks 3, 4 and 7?

any weeks scored by me would already include those points. If there are no points when I scored then he didn't cut his promo.
I am pretty sure I scored a week where he didn't cut the promo.

Weeks 3 & 4 weren't scored by Farn. So assuming that he did take the mike in those weeks, do we give GO the 10 points?
