Barring any unforseen trades, I'll start:
Batista
Flair
Tajiri
Tomko
Noble
Nunzio

Bench:
Venis
Holly

I have two semi-related questions. First, what is the penalty (if any) for someone NOT stating their starting lineup? Second, what is the purpose of starting six and benching two? I'm not questioning the wisdom of the sages, just wondering if it wouldn't be better to go ahead and start everybody on your roster. For example, I'd hate to see that out of nowhere Val Venis wins the WWE title and I didn't start him. That'd bite bigtime! Why not go ahead and just start your full roster and let the general manager with the best full roster deservedly win our league championship?

If you don't post a roster, your previous week's roster will remain official. You should be warned, if you make any transactions (waiver claims or trades), and fail to post a new starting lineup only the wrestlers you started the previous week - and not the wrestlers you got in return for them - will be active. For example, lets say post 2 is your week 3 lineup. If you trade Tomko and Tajiri sometime next week for Regal and Rico and you never get around to posting a roster for week 4, you will only have 4 starting wrestlers for that week.

Re your other question, that is a basic component of roto-fantasy sports. I think there are 2 reasons. First, starting 6 adds a strategic element to the game and helps keep things interesting. If you didn't have to decide who to start each week, you'd never really have to look at the league.

Second, it helps to bring some parity. There are maybe one or two teams that might have 7 or even 8 decent scorers. But there are other teams that will have trouble getting scores out of 4 guys most weeks. If we start all 8 every week, the more stacked teams will run away with it. This way, teams with extra scorers might be able to make trades that will benefit both themselves and a struggling team, by upgrading the lower scorers on the good team and bringing an extra scorer to the poor team. (I'll trade you my 6th and 7th best scorers for your 4th best scorer, for example)

I rushed through this post because I'm holding people up who want to watch a DVD, but hopefully I made enough sense for you to et the gist of what I mean.

Ok, thanks for your response MITH. Wasn't sure if/when these topics had been broached before but I am certainly glad that there's sound logic for them.

By the way, I received both your e-mails and have replied. Thanks again.
