and I go an amazing 0-3 in title matches - win no belts - AND that ass clown HHH wins the title. Sure glad I didn't order, I would have been pissed.

Was a pretty good PPV, IMO. Victoria/Trish have had much better matches in the past and the impromptu Richards/Tomko was a total waste of time. Ladder match was a little disappointing. The ladder use was great and so were some of the high spots (especially Jericho knocking the ladder out from under Christian, leaving him hanging from the rope above the ring and then Y2J knocking him down by whacking him with the ladder as he dangled, but the timming was really poor. Quote of the night came in the post match interview when Jericho said that he had half the ladder in his @$$ but he felt great to be the 8-time champ. I just wish he would have called Edge an assclown.
But Benoit & Regal/Evolution was good. Tajiri & Rhyno/La Resistance was OK. Kane/HBK was very good. And Orton/HHH was very good.

all you east coasters NEED to make an effort to go to a Ring of Honor show.
next one is 10/2, in Philly. there are a slew of great matches, including World Champion Samoa Joe defending against American Dragon Brian Danielson, but it also features the full reunion of the original Midnight Express - Jim Cornette, Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, AND Dennis Condrey, with both an afternoon mini-card and a regular full night card.

10/2/04 Philadelphia, PA- Midnight Express Reunion

My future brother-in-law's girlfriend had one of the Ring of Honor wrestlers living in her building in Forest Hills for a while. I forget what she said his name was.
They do shows in Queens, right? I might be into checking them out, but I'll be pretty strapped through the holidays. How much are tix usually?

i wonder which wrestler that was. if you can get the name, i'd be curious.
as the moment, they don't do queens for two reasons:
1. the Elk's Lodge is now completely owned by a Korean church. it's unlikely there will be wrestling there again. the only other decent venue is Club Azumra in Jamaica, and its small and in a crappy neighborhood, so they probably won't run there.
2. very expensive to run in NYC, due to silly laws on the books that basically consider every event to be of WWE attendance factors. like, you have to put up 100,000 bucks to have a show, and most small groups don't have that.
a law was just passed to change that, so there were two levels in NYC, where smaller groups pay a lesser amount, but Gov. Pataki vetoed it.
the closest to NYC is the RexPlex in Elizabeth, New Jersey (right next to ikea)...it's a great venue, and a lot of fun.
GA tix are usually 15 bucks in advance, 18 at the door. reserved seating ranges from 20 to 40 bucks.
