- gave Carmella and Christy 2 points for their backstage makeup doing. I figure its time to start giving them points now.
- gave Snitsky 2 points because they interviewed him while he was in the back and it wasn't really directed at the ring but more towards the fans and JR/King.
- Christian and Tomko each only got 5. No extra points for multiple interferences.
- Scored HBK/Y2J as a no contest. Gave Y2J the 10 points for defending his belt.
Yeah I haven't seen any rumors regarding Maven in the last few weeks, either. And I think I've kept up pretty well with news and such.

how do you think I feel?! I took a chance on Viscera who it turns out won't be around very long - but I figured it couldn't hurt cause Maven was m.i.a... my only hope is that Rodney Mack comes out to help tag team with him. Seems like a logical team vs. La Resistance.

And how do you think I feel? Raw is definitely not Mike D.........
ah, interesting. I remember debating whether that was mere hosting duties or a promo. And I thought I had settled on a promo. But yeah, 5 for the Coach.
And wiggs is right, 5 more for Trish for her diva search interuption. I got caught staring at her and forgot to give her 5.
Coach +3 (added to his awarded 2) Trish +5

She sounded nervous on the mike. It took away a lot from the whole gig. Next time I'll mute it so her words don't get in the way.

"Everyone hated the Lita/Kane segments. A young girl behind me asked her mom why Kane brought Lita to a Tucson hospital if she was hurt in Seattle. Nice reality check for the folks in Titan Towers. We can only suspend so much belief."
How do we intend to handle the Christy situation? Clearly over the past few weeks she has more than 0 points. And it could be a factor when we try to determine drafting position for next season.
We only need to go back through 3 other weeks of Raw results if anybody wants to.

She wasn't really part of the WWE though. We can include her points from Monday or even start next Monday, IMHO.
Good point, Farn. It shouldn't be hard to check her involvement in the first three weeks and apply those stats retroactively. I think that's probably the right thing to do. It would have been way too tedious and a waste of time in my opinion to track scores for all of the contestants since they started appearing in the ring. But now that one has been chosen, I don't see a problem with adding up the points she's accumulated this season, especiallly since we're only in our 4th week. It's probably just 20 points. I forget if they were also at Unforgiven, if so, that's probably another 10. Unless there are objections, I'll work it out this week before I post the S&S.
Sorry Mike D, read your post after I posted. I don't like the precident that your idea sets. She was just as much a part of WWE as Gangrel or the fake Hardy Boys. I think it's been made clear since the league's inception that we can pick up anyone who has ever been or never been in a wrestling ring, so it stands to reason that if Christy is kept on a team into Season V, that all of her appearances should count.

One of these days I'm gonna do a run-in, just so I can get points, and appear on your lists!
There were no Diva contestants at Unforgiven. So Christy, who was already awarded her Week 4 points above, will have 15 more added for the previous 3 weeks.

Per posts 16 and 18, I'm giving both Christy and Carmella 15 retroactive points from previous diva search appearances in Season IV.
I'm also giving Randy Orton his 25 turn points. They won't be retroactive, I'll add them to his Week 4 score, for a total of 62.

MITH....You're a good man---I don't care what they say about you. LOL
The Orton turn points are well deserved but undoubtedly he'll make his career as a heel in this business.

By the way, with Hurricane taking his mask back from the kid (who seemed to be laughing about it), it looks like Hurricane will become a heel very, very soon. Just please, please, please don't put him a program against Rosey.
It's time like these that I really miss Two Minute Warning.

...or Three Minute Warning----whatever Rosey and Jamal were called.
Agreed, we have to watch Hurricane - also Kane and Kidman.
An item that hasn't come up is the Big Show's situation. He was a heel when he went on his hiatus, but appears to be defining himself as a face. Should we call this a turn? Or is his alignment wiped clean after a long hiatus? I tend to think the latter, but it's certainly a matter of perception. It may have to come to a vote.

Ahh... you bring up a great point. I remember when HHH went out with his quad injury (what a year and a half ago), he was a definite heel. But his first day back (in MSG I think) he was in hyper-face mode and stayed that way for quite a while.
I think it's that way for any superstar that stays out for a lengthy period of time. People love him (or her) at first no matter the character they were playing when they left. Maybe this trend will be broken when the Princess returns but who knows.

I know he's my guy so that's why i am speaking up but I feel like if he turned while he was gone I should still get his points. Since when do the rules say that if you go on hiatus you can't get turn points?
oh that's definately fine. My complaint was with him not getting any at all. If in a few weeks he is still face i should get points.

In a perfect world, turn points would be easy to decipher. WWE is far from perfect though....and that's just perfect!
You see, the WWE is a fine microcosm of the real world that we all live in. The real world has no absolutes, rarely solid differentation between good and evil, shades of gray almost everywhere we go and yet a system whereby there reigns an absolute authority unfettered by the inner workings of any other man or being.
How does this fit in with scoring turns? Simply put, there will always be unclear distinctions at times if and/or when a turn occurred. It's inevitable that at times we will agree, disagree or agree to disagree about a person's turn status in the company. Yes, a turn should be clear, concise and textbook plain. Probably 8 out of 10 times, that is what will happen. Our problem is the other 2.
In the case of Big Show, he was a heel when he was injured but when he came back, he came back as a non-heel, non-face persona. He slam dunked everybody! As such, no turn could be credited to him because in order to turn, one must turn (in theory) completely to the opposite side of what you once was.
Now, I won't prolong this much further but let me state for the record that Orton's turn and thereby, subsequent turn points was taken with extreme and rightful caution. I may have suggested prematurely that he should have been given his turn points at the moment he spit in HHH's face. If so, I was wrong in that assessment.
As I see it, in order for a turn to be complete, there should be some sort of wrestling match confrontation ending with the questioned superstar clearly having his status revealed one way or the other BEFORE turn points can be accurately assessed. How this affects the superstar coming back from a one month, six month or one year injury, I'm not exactly sure. I don't think it'd be right to completely wipe his slate clean. Yet, there should be ample time given to reassess his standing within the company and go from there. Some characters, like Christian, you knew from the moment he arrived. Others, you just have to wait and see how it works itself out.
I hope this wasn't too long. Just one man's thoughts...

I think I have a tear in my eye.......that's the way we've always handled turns, Bond, but it has never been stated so eloquently. And the real world analogy is a thing of beauty.
Looks like last night was a good time to party with the Bondmeister. ;)

I think it would be easier (and more important) to determine Hell in a Cell points than Turn Points. :)
POst 41, well done. I agree with just about all of it so long as you menat to say that there should be some sort of wrestling match OR confrontation ending with... Obviously (I think), alignment should not have to be decided by an actual match.
If the group disagrees with me about a hiatus wipingsomeone's alignment slate clean, I have no problem dropping it.
