Well, we have Gurupie leagues in everything else. Anybody playing Guild Wars and interested in starting a Rotoguru Guild?

I'm interested...
Names I'm using lately:
Dorian Vane
Prodigy Molotov

Holt: Guildwars is a semi-mmorpg. When you're in the cities, it's like an mmorpg; when you're outside the cities it is just a multi player rpg, where the only other people are those within your group. <-- Thus, preventing random PVP or mob kill stealing, etc. All PVP comes in a PVP setting that you -choose- to enter.

Overall, quite a nice game.

Balrog:

Seems there's no interest for a Rotoguru Guild... That's too bad. What have you been playing, class-wise, lately? At the moment I'm leveling up a war/mes to try out a Blackout/Backbreaker combo... If it works decently, I want to get friends to level the same combo and all we'll do is Blackout/Backbreaker every member of the other team while whacking them with hammers... Here's the build that I'm planning on, but it will change as I actually get to use it, I imagine:

Blackout, Backbreaker, Distracting Blow, Sprint, Bull's Strike, Healing Signet, Leech Signet, Signet of Humility

The Signets will be used while the foe is knocked down for 4 seconds from the Backbreaker. Leech Signet and Distracting blow are mainly only there for if you miss your Backbreaker...

Ok, I've rambled for far too long... Haha. Name of the war/mes in case you wanna chat in game: Enidan Ahselli

Just bought the game yesterday. I need to upgrade my video and hope to do that in the next couple days. Any tips/hints for a neophyte player?

I haven't played in a while. However, if things are still similar: I'd recommend starting with a priest/warrior.

When I played, it was by far the best broken combo for soloing at high levels. It also guarentees ease in finding parties all the way up to those high levels.

I'm not sure what changes have occurred, though. You might want to research a little bit. Here's a website I used a lot: gwonline.net

If you get into the game, I might be convinced to play again - seeing as there's no monthly fee. I've already uninstalled, but it'd be no problem to reinstall.

my prob with these types of games, has always been my schedule. I grab 15 minutes of play time here, 2 hrs there. Pretty much a "catch as catch can" kind of thing. Makes it tough to form into any sort of party or what not, and leaves me with the PUGs where you never know what kinds of players you're gonna get. (I'm not put off by players who arent really "good" at it. I am put off by those who are just plain asses about it though.)

Started a Warr/Monk and actually found him too potent in the early stages. Working a Rgr/Mes now, though I am still pre-searing with him. Doing all the prelim stuff to try and upgrade armor/weapons and the like.

1st time I know for a fact I can dedicate 2 or 3 hrs to it, will be Sat night or Sunday afternoon. (Sunday depends on what games are being proadcast locally. If my Vikes are on, I'm in front of the tube. lol)

For now, I'm still trying to get a feel for the game. Havent gone beyond the initial stages yet at all. Just experimenting with diff char/class combos to see what I want to try and tackle the main game with.

Is anyone into Ultima Online? I can't remember if anyone said they were back a year ago when I joined up on it.
