Your little emblem of the bouncing chest leads me to believe you are a "friend of Dorothy". You ought to just come out, these boards could use some diversity.
I really like Civ III but I don't think I'll play IV, it is too time consuming.

I got to try Civ 4 at my friends appartment, where him and his 3 roomates seemed to be playing non-stop since it came out. With exams now done I'm going to fire it up and give it a try. From what I hear its about 50x better then Civ 3, which was a great game in its own right.

I loved Civs I and II, but didn't care at all for III. I think Civ IV is fantastic, and have been able to beat it at the standard settings every level up to Emperor. It may be that I haven't "figured it out" yet, but this seems to be by far the toughest Civ game I've played yet. I'm only at the 3rd highest difficulty, and find myself struggling to catch up early on. I can't even imagine a winning strategy on deity.
Also, nice Arrested Development reference. I can't believe they're taking that off the air! That's easily the smartest and funniest show I've ever seen.
