Subject: Lets Talk Heartburn

A random topic I know but fits right in Gaming and Entertainment!... I had heartburn (Pizza Hut) so bad last night that it woke me up in the middle of the night. All I had was Pepto which worked adequately (not great).
Any words of wisdom about what works best? I am all out now and going to buy some new stuff today.
Pepto? Rolaids? Tums? Pepcid?
Someone point me in the right direction :) |

I've had fair success with Pepcid and Tagamet. The most successful thing I've done though is avoid the cause of the problem.

Rolaids does the trick for me. I haven't tried any of the others, since I rarely have the problem.

Non-Perscription, the best option is probably Pepcid.

Tums.
Ginger Ale or Root Beer does the trick. I hardly if ever have heartburn so I use Root Beer since I have that around the house a lot more often than Tums.

I personally like Alka Seltzer's HB Relief formula, tastes like crap but whips the problem every time, no matter what I ate...

Different things work better for different people.
You really need to figure out what works the best for you.

Beer. Lots of beer. Your headache takes away the pain from your tummy. J/K
I take Pepcid before I eat spicy food. Other wise I have some major heartburn. Luv them Hot wings with BEER!

Just got Pepcid - Max Strength as it seems to be a popular choice.
Its strange, Pizza Hut does it to me every time - but I only have that horrible pizza once a year it seems, so I forget lol... I wonder what the heck it is in that pizza that does it. Like its got some kind of special grease they use on the pan or something.
White Castle does the same thing, but you expect that going in so you are prepared lol... either that or is 4 AM and you don't even really care.

Last night I shredded up some of a leftover roast beef for burritos with corn, beans and a few other things including plenty of hot sauce and a taco seasoning package in the mix. Not a lick of heartburn. But a blueberry muffin will get me every time.

For me it's onions in any way, shape, or form.
