Well not really, more like a mix cd... how about some song suggestions for a cd filled with songs about moving away and staring over.
So far I have -
Thunder Road - The Boss Night Train - Bouncing Souls Time to Move On - Tom Petty Movin' Out - Billy Joel
talk amongst yourselves, I am going to load up the truck! |

"Babe" by Styx. Starts with "Babe I'm Leaving"
"So Far Away" originally by Carole King. There's a famous cover by Rod Stewart as well. This is different than the "So Far Away" by Dire Straights, which also qualifies.
And let's not forget Pearl Jam. I recommend "Off He Goes", "MFC", and "Around The Bend." There's also "Light Years" but that's more about death than leaving.

Oh, and there's also "The Garden" by Guns and Roses. Well, it does say "Bye Bye" in it.

I gotta say Sister Havanna was my favorite selection here - I am downloading now to see if its really applicable and because I haven't heard that song in 10 years anyway and thats funny.
Wilimer - did you already have this tape made or just rattle those off? Thats a very nice mix tape no matter what its about.
I like to screw around with mixtapes (mp3 cds now I guess) like making entire cds full of songs that start with the letter S or whatever. Then I see if anyone can figure out what connects all the songs on that cd. Alright, I'm insane, but whatever!

I just quickly went through my computer songs and tried to find good selections for you. Glad I could help. BTW, I like driving tunes, too.
And, I added "Wagon Wheel" by the Old Crow Medicine Show because that is a gem.

Love the music here. If you're not just after classic rock hits, I heard some song on the radio that was about starting a new life.
Augustana - Boston
Granted, you're going to Jersey....
