while we'll figure out our managerial conundrum in the other thread, i'm thinking a hot stove league thread oughta get started elsewhere, for those of us looking to deal.
i've got a handful of players that are keeper quality or borderline keeper quality that i'm looking to move - i'm preferring draft picks, but multi-player deals may work too:
Mark Teixeira Joe Mauer Michael Pineda Shane Victorino Michael Morse Drew Storen John Axford Howie Kendrick

If it works in any way for you, even as part of a potential trade package option between you and a third party, I'd trade Dan Haren for Mark Teixeira.
If you are likely to keep Mark anyway, perhaps not but if I'm not mistaken you've expressed interest in Haren twice?

Any chance I can get a gander on the team I will hopefully be granted takeover of?

We haven't discussed how the teams will be dispersed.

Welcome Bobo. Thanks for your interest. The only Bobo I know was Bobo Brazil. You'd have to be pretty old to know who he was. The league is temporarily without a commissioner, and I think we usually vote on new members. So hang in there. Hopefully you like Atlanta players.

Then let's vote. Yes for Bobo's Brazilians taking over for AF.

Baldy - thanks for the trade offer. at one point i believe i was trying to acquire Haren, but at this point, i'm not interested. thank you though.
Bobo - in, of course. good guy, but likes Detroit sports a bit too much. especially the Tigers.

Bobo Brazil was big in Detroit. I think he beat The Shiek for the title there at Cobo Hall. I never did like Bobo, though. I always liked the bad guys.

never had you pegged for a rasslin' fan B7. i've only seen footage of the Sheik terrorizing fans in those days, as well as some stuff he did in Japan about 15 years ago (yep, he was still doing crazy stuff in the ring with swords and fire and stuff well into his 70s).
he did a "fire deathmatch" in 1992 in Japan when he was 68 years old, teaming with his real life nephew Sabu against Atsushi Onita and Tarzan Goto. The ring ropes were replaced with flaming barbed wire, and the Sheik legit got third degree burns and went into a coma before coming out of it and living another 11 years, that crazy b@stard.

I waited on The Shiek once, when I was a waiter in college. Him and his translator Abdullah Farukh, and another person. His face was all messed up. Anyways, he always had a translator on TV, and never spoke english. I was waiting for the translator to order for him, and The Sheik said, "I'll have the chopped steak." Then he answered a couple of questions about the side orders.

and i'm still looking to move some of these guys for draft picks:
Mark Teixeira Joe Mauer Michael Pineda Shane Victorino Michael Morse Drew Storen John Axford Howie Kendrick
some of those are bonafide vets and keepers, and a couple others might be keen building blocks for a rebuilding team.

By the way my email is attached. The one used for the league is a spam account I don't go to.
