Having lived in downtown Baltimore for four years, I met some hilarious black neighbors. I honestly don't think the interest in Ramsey or Dodson is/was racist, they were excellent interviews of characters that were really entertaining. It does not surprise me, though, that some people have created nasty things with these interviews, that is bound to happen.
1) Consider the worst. I'm not sayin' assume the worst...but consider the worst and you might miss less stuff like people being held prisoner under your nose for ten years.
2) If you are ever interviewed in a high profile case...think product advertising. Sprinkle in McDonalds or some other product you were associating with at the time. This guy is being wooed by McDonald for advertising cooperation as we type. He mentioned them in every interview he gave.
Whenever a crime or a scandal captures national attention, the pattern in the mainstream media is to either identify the culprit as a Republican or hold silence -- in which case we can rest assured that the culprit is a Democrat.
When the identity or the party affiliation is yet unknown, the pattern is to speculate publicly about the possibility of the criminal being a privileged white conservative Christian, Republican, and a Tea Party member -- and never that he could be an immigrant Hispanic Democrat voter playing bass in a meringue band.
In today's divisive climate, the identity of a perpetrator is always a political issue, especially when a crime is committed by men against women.
If any of the brothers were a Republican, this news would have been trumpeted by the mainstream media as tangible proof of the Republican War on Women -- a narrative invented by Democrat strategists and maintained by the media in a successful effort to defeat Republican candidates in the 2012 election cycle.
However, when a real act of war on women is perpetrated by a Democrat voter in the manner that even the most zealous Democrat strategist couldn't have dreamed up in their worst nightmares -- involving abduction, imprisonment, rape, torture, malnutrition, beatings while pregnant, and killing babies -- the media doesn't think the party affiliation is relevant.
I'm not saying that in this case it is. What's relevant is the relentless media bias, taunting, and bullying of conservatives and Republicans.
"We need to have constant vigilance, constantly keep our eyes open and ears open because miracles do happen," [Elizabeth] Smart said on ABC's "Good Morning America."
"constantly keep our eyes open and ears open " ... I despair.
One neighbor says a naked woman was seen crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard of the house a few years ago. Another heard pounding on the home's doors and noticed plastic bags over the windows.
Cleveland police ... are conducting an internal review to see if they overlooked anything.

only an idiot would find a way to make this political, be it in some "published" article, or be it a posting on a message board.

only a fool, or disgusting slime of a human being would believe this.
politics have absolutely nothing to do with this, but leave it to a desperate right.
Grew up in Cleveland, my ex-roomate grew up in that neighborhood just one block away. It's changed alot in 40 years.
Anyway, was listening today to the Indians/Tigers game (tribe won and is now tied for first with DET). Announcer said the following, I paraphrase:
Imagine the horror of those girls being held captive all those years, now they come out for years for therapy in their future. Wait til they realize Lebron left for Miami, it will be hell all over again.
