My season will hang on the difference makers.
There used to be a time where the year 27 was uber-important in fantasy circles and it was believed that age 27 was the year your player was likely to break out.
If true Belt should give me 20+ HR instead of last year's 12. Seems like a post-hype sleeper to me.
Was last year's Soler a taste of things to come or a flash in the pan that pitchers will catch up to? I expect 25+ HR so we'll see.
I can win with an Arod at a 2/3 age performance discount and Ryan Zimmerman playing all year now that he's not falling all over himself at third base. Or lose when they both get injured at the same time.
Will Cargo manage to give me 3/4 of a year? It's gotta happen sometime. Why not this year?
Will Cobb and Cain even pitch this year? If they perform at their ceiling I have @5 aces. If they don't pitch I'm only carrying 6 pitchers atm.
Alex Rios with a wide wide ceiling-floor spread. I bet he's still got a 20 HR season in him. If his thumb is even working this year. A nice 4th OF at least, either way. At least steal 15 for me, buddy.
Odor looks to me to be the second coming of Roberto Alomar. I just may be keeping him for the next 10 years. I'm expecting a lot from a 21 y/o. If I'm wrong about him, he'll be dragging my team down for many years like Billy Butler and Weiters and Frank Thomas did.
I really wanted Vogt for my last pick but bili....grrr. Wasn't real confident in him but...My fallback plan was whichever between Byrd/Granderson/Hunter lasted the longest. That part worked.
Did you know Lind hit @.360 against righties last year? I remember reading that somewhere.
My other guys are safe predictable producers.
