I'd completely forgotten about that toy, MBJ. I think just about every man our age has very fond memories of Evil, he was larger than life. I don't think anyone could capture the imagination of all of America these days like he did in the seventies.
Considering the number of injuries and surgeries he had, it's amazing he lived as long as he did.

i was working some wrestling shows this weekend, and several of us were talking about that EXACT toy. to me, it was iconic of the toys i played with growing up, much like Kneivel himself.
crazy he just settled the dispute with Kayne...

I met his son Robby(also a daredevil) a few times while working rock radio in Salt Lake. He was very personable and accomodating, but then his shows never reached the fever pitch media hype that his Dad's did, so he had to play the PR game a bit harder. Still, I never got the feeling he was bitter that he never attained the stardom that Evil did. He seemed to be pretty happy making a living following in his Dad's footsteps.
