I have one pick left in the prospect draft. I'll be leaving the country tommorrow and won't be around to make my pick. I know I could check in at cafes or whatever from time to time, butI don't want people to be waiting around, and fankly, don't want to worry about it.
I'd like to leave a short Q with whomever will take it. If the Q can be used, great; if it is exhausted, I'll be OK with just having one less Prospect this year.
If someone(s) will take a Q, lwt me know. Thanks.

Send it over. Mark it "prospect pick" or something like that and I'll hold off opening it until your turn.

Thanks. I'll send. Open it whenever, you'll only do yourself harm by trying to gleen anything from it. :)
Again, if it's exhausted, just skip me - I won't be checking in.

hey folks -
just some words of thought here.
now, three times in seven picks of the prospect draft, we've had a player that was already drafted selected. please check both the yahoo league page, as well as the prospect draft page itself, to make sure you don't double pick.

Yeah I had a list where I had checked off who was already owned pre draft...didn't check the two picks in front of me though.
When I saw PD had picked for me I thought he had really screwed up...nope it was me.
Doh.

Had to pass up some more promising bats to get the little tyke from Taiwan. Hopefully they start slow and trade Furcal early, as Hu looks ready. Upside's probably 15-30-.310 with a lot of doubles.

15-30-.310
15 games
30 At-bats
.310 fielding percentage.
You've done well, Bili :)

Heh.
He found his power-stroke last year, admittedly in the thin air of Vegas, slugging .500 between there and Jacksonville. Wicked quick bat.
My main worry is whether he can steal.

I think injuries are gonna force Hu into 3B immediately. I looked into him myself. Between 1B and 3B, the Dodgers are gonna open the year really scuffling for healthy effective players.

Heh. That's funny!
You may be right, Baldwin. IIRC, LaRoche is out for a few months, and Nomar has a broken hand.

... well Nomar can play through the micro-fracture of his wrist, rotowire claims. Odds are he'll get hurt again however, playing 3rd ever day. His bat's anemic these days anyway. Hu would likely be an upgrade, if he can hit in the majors. Or even if he struggles for a month or two.

I'm off to Mass in just a few. Will pick when I get back if AF has already picked.

Dunno how I missed that Balentine wasn't already on a prospect keeper roster. It happens every year that I am just sure one player must be a keeper already and I overlook him.

This draft is not moving. Doesn't someone have the ability to contact AF...I remember him posting that during the regular draft.
I will be gone (sporting clays tournament) tomorrow from @ 9-2PM CST. I'm not going to leave a 50 man queue, so if draft hasn't reached by tomorrow early AM..it will be shut down untill 3-4 EST

Hey, Perm, do you still have Nerve's Q? He's up.
I'm going to be on the road this weekend with limited access Saturday night, Sunday morning. I'll be at a Draft with Biliruben, actually, so I will have my notes with me. PLEASE call (36oh) 5six2-1171 and I'll make my pick over the phone.
I have three picks this year as I called Phil Hughes up before the draft. With Bili only having two, that means I have the last pick. I will make the last pick Sunday night, if it gets to me.

I think we are going to have to formalize the calling up process a little better. The fairest way to do it, I think, is exactly as Zen is doing: Declare the regular and prospect keepers, call one kept prospect up during the regular draft (in exchange for their last pick), then pick an extra player in the prospect draft.
What I'd like to avoid (or even ban), are callups during the prospect draft.

That's been the rule, you have to name prospect u r calling up b4 draft to get a replacement pick.

I picked up Fukudome before the prospect draft began but I dob't see how that effects the draft one way or another. I don't get to reuse that slot in this yars draft anyway as much as I'd like to.

why wouldn't you, you called him up before the prospect draft started?
That has always opened a slot...as long as you did it before the first prospect draft pick.
This year I think if you did it by Thursday though you should be OK since that's when the commish said the draft would start and MITH just decided to pick early.

I was sure hopin someone would say that but I was worried because I had to declare him a keeper again before this draft. I picked up Fukudome the first day the system would let me and before this started.
Anyone else see this the way Nerve does?
