0 Subject: Realistic Prediction Links

I expect to drop down to just posting the most interesting links describing the actual state of the races.

I don't think much is gained by chest thumping posts about why your side should win, or unrealistic boasts about how invincible your side is or should be.

Just an introductory sentence and a link if you will play nicely, then maybe a sentence summarizing the takeaway.

The three Dem incumbent Senate seats upon which Republican hopes of retaking the Senate hang.

Boxer/Carly Fiorina - California

Murray/Dino Rossi - Washington

Feingold/Ron Johnson - Wisconsin

Murray backers note that the “mom in tennis shoes” has been underestimated in the past and never won by anything less than eight percent.

I feel quite confident that Patty will beat Rossi down. He's a loser, he couldn't beat Chris Gregoire, who isn't nearly as popular as Sen. Murray.

I'm not denying that this will be a good year for Republicans in WA, they will win back some House and Senate seats in Olympia that have gone to Democrats in the past six years, but it won't be enough for Rossi.

Intrade is a lot of fun for this sort of stuff -- and you can put your money where your mouth is!

(On the above referenced races, Boxer's about a 3:2 favorite, and the other two races are very slight Dem favorites.)

For clarification, those three aren't the three most likely Rep wins. They are the three on the bubble which would likely flip the senate.

Rossi is the worst kinda scum, but even scum has a chance. I give him 43% chance of winning.

Real-Estate investing, profiting off foreclosures POS.

So now people who show up at RE auctions are scum?

wasn't Boldwin the one who listed Matthew Lesko as one of the "worst Americans of all time" or something like that? Selective outrage, perhaps?

Some other thread but that's just a ridiculous judgement of someone. People who buy foreclosed property are not evil and people who explain the opportunity are not either.

I can't believe I'm defending El Bolderooni here, but I'm pretty sure he was referring to Tony Rezko, who compounded being a real estate villain by getting neck-deep in corruption with former Illinois governor and poster boy for general scumosity Rod Blagojevich.

If I'm mistaken, and the guy who dressed like the Riddler on the 3:30 AM infomercials was actually on that list, I apologize.

Hey, that was a good one. I'm not sure everyone understands it, But I thought it was pretty funny.

Re #10: No, in this thread, post #47.

So, in this thread, #715 et al Boldwin believes the states would be stupid not to try to grab money from the federal government, even for programs that they are suing the government to stop. And in the first link above, a man who advertises government programs where people can apply for money from the government is one of the "25 Worst Figures in American History."

[So what happens when we find that Lesko is helping those states write their application? Dividing by zero, anyone?]

*snif* That's not nearly as amusing.

Carry on then.

Here's a realistic prediction. This news will send Brother Baldwin into a ballistic eruption.

Illinois raises state income tax big time
