If you wanted to apply retroactive stats I would be happy to plug in Alfred Morris in place of Chris Johnson. 8>

And I'd actually use Randy Moss.

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and don't hold 'tude against him.

I think he's got everything a QB could need except size, speed and a Left Tackle, ok an entire cohesive O-line.

He's got a perfect arm, throws laser beams, deadly accurate, reads well. When he's asked to do the impossible he starts throwing off the wrong foot, into impossible places but no more so than Brett Favre. He's elusive tho not fast, aware in the pocket. He's fearless and plays thru any kind of pain without complaining, no matter what the media told you otherwise.

Bear Report:

The Bears are one left tackle away from dominating everything they survey. Webb is the slightly undersized cousin of a famous ex-lineman and he doesn't seem to have any heart or the work ethic to perfect his craft. Bears management think the potential is there, which is why they haven't fixed this screaming need. Bears replaced Spencer this week at LG with a veteran who prides himself on playing nasty and with a lot of emotion which supposedly sent a message to Webb at LT. The Bears really don't want to go from 330# Webb to even smaller 320# Chris Williams LT if they can help it.

Dan Hampton ripping Webb on the radio for technique, playing too upright, should be staying after practice perfecting craft.

First rounder Gabe Carimi on the other end I think is gonna eventually be slightly better than average if the chronic knee problems let him. He's not there yet.

Center and RG, passable.
---
Defensive line is the best I can remember. Hitting on all cylinders. Just a couple years ago the D-line was just horrible. No pressure. Rookie McClellin is so the real deal. Very exciting. Just doubling Peppers is no longer all it takes. Melton started out hot again. There seems to be some depth on the D-line even.

Great LB's have a couple more year's tread left hopefully.

The Bear's have over the years let a couple great safeties go to save money, Mike Brown and inexplicably soured on Chris Harris over tweets and a hamstring. That position has been a disaster ever since. They drafted safeties for the last eight years.

They rarely draft pure corners or have much speed, but at least Tillman is a genuine football playing man among boys tho not fast. CB Jennings got a good contract and is en entirely different player, on fire. I don't know if he has the talent to keep it up but so far this year he is stellar. Tillman says this is the best group of corners he's ever worked with, but I remember Nathan Vasher so...

You'd think those safeties and relatively slow corners would really get worked over but the whole defensive system is clicking.

Let me know what you think about this theory. I get the impression the Bears figure you have to save money somewhere, you can't give every last player the big bucks, and safety and corner are where they are gonna cut corners. [They also haven't spent anything on WR but I know that idea doesn't work.

So here's the theory. Doesn't it make sense that safety is a great place to find/stick a college superstar 'football smart' kid who just didn't have the size to play pro?

Is that at work in your home team? Where does your team cut corners?

Talk amongst yourselves.

The Bills have, for the last decade or so, cut corners (so to speak) at o-line and defensive end. That seems to have changed this year, which is good. Their 4 SB appearances were made possible by Bruce Smith and a solid O-line.

They have always made sure they have very good corners, but I they don't necessarily keep them. They simply let them move on before they have to pay them the big bucks. I think it's a position where you can make an immediate impact right out of college, so it seems like a smart way to use draft picks.

In the Yahoo pregame show Chris Liss is given the choice which player to sit between 4 players and chooses Reggie Wayne to sit. Brad Evans you can hear just loosing it in the background.

41.2 fantasy points, 212 yds, 13 catches, one TD.

Gonna be fun listening next week.

RG3 has 305 pass attempts & 99 carries. In those 404 touches he's only turned ball over 6 times. (4 int's, 2 lost fumbles) - Mathew Berry [ESPN stats dept more likely]

It's hard to identify which part of his game I love the most. It's just brilliant in every way.

playing for my playoff life tonight.

WK is down by 38, with one player (Eli), left to go.

I'm down by 9, with RG3, Morris, and an IDP going against Victor Cruz.

i'm trailing WK by about 10 points for the last playoff spot if we both win tonight.

if i win, and he loses, i'm in. if he wins, and i lose, he's in.

this is as close as it gets!

According to the site you are down 30 points.
Highly doubtful Eli goes off for 38 and you should win your matchup.

Putting in Bess over Avery cost me 25 points and a playoff spot. bleh.

yes, 30 to you prior to yesterday's games. it's down to about 10 prior to tonight.

even so, with B7 looking to beat Baldwin, i probably need to win outright tonight to make the playoffs, and right now, Victor Cruz is beating me.

in by the hair of my chiny chin chin...good thing i have a very long goatee...

I am not abandoning my two keeper teams

not even sure what this means. you were one loss away from making the playoffs. you have three players in the top 50 in the game, one of whom was traded to you, one of whom is a 34-year-old WR, and the third of whom is a TE with a broken arm who may or may not be back before the fantasy playoffs end.

you lost 3 of your last 5 games. you don't have a bad team, and it's certainly good enough to win the whole thing, but it's a downward trending squad with a medium cast of keepers, certainly not enough to field two squads.

i don't think anyone here has been timid about your rabid jackassery.

imho, the reasons you've had posts pulled, aside from the constant insulting of posters, our president, and anyone to the left of far radical right wing; is the fact that you will make an argument, be proven wrong rather quickly, and then instead of responding to your original argument or the response that disputed, you'll resort to attack mode, and completely ignore the original discussion.

i could EASILY go back and find a half dozen examples in November of you doing that.

Downside to the week. I go out in first round of playoffs.

Plus of the week:

In my other league I and the guy leading the league in points were on the outside looking in on next weeks start of the 4 team playoffs.

In order to sneak into the playoffs:

1) I would need to beat the manager in sole first place at 11-2. [whom I was playing]

2) I would need the league leader in points to beat the team he faced this week. [which was leading me by a game]

3) I would need to beat the league leader in points by 88 points. [tie breaker]

Mission accomplished. 229 pts - in the playoffs.

Poor founder of the league and commish actually ended up leading the league in pts [beating me by 5 pts] and finishing 7-7.

Have to draft behind Tree next year. And no first round pick.

Tree had no RGIII [played Kaepernick] but then I was missing three of my keepers today.
---
In my other keeper league I crushed the guy with the 11-3 record for the second week in a row, second week in a row highest score of the week, far and away highest score for the year.

Had to go with Kaepernick in place of my injured RGIII. I couldn't have made playoffs without Danario Alexander's @30 pts last week. He scored zero this week.

I meet my son for championship game.

But my son wasn't one of them. I win the championship.

Indeed GO proves it aint braggin' if you can back it up.

I'm still trying to fully grasp that thing you did with pitching.

Dearly wish we still had a Poliboard Basketball League to see if you could get the trifecta in one year.

I don't think I've ever won any Poliboard league since GO started with us, and that's just one more reason this league rocks so hard. One more mountain to climb.

FWIW, i don't feel as if i've lost him.

he may pull an AP and be back at better than ever. he may come back slowly. he may not come back at all.

but the high reward clearly overcomes the high risk in this case. RG3 is too good, too athletic, too talented to get cut loose in a keeper league, and in the league where i own him, i'm keeping him.

and in the leagues that i don't, if someone drops him, i will leap on him in the draft if given the opportunity.

Take away RGIII's running entirely and I still love him. As scary accurate and strong a deep ball as I've ever seen and smart as a whip with it.
