Subject: Message Board Team (Week 14)

I'm back. A busy schedule kept me from making any changes last week. Inter Guru still did pretty well, netting over 1000 SWP this past weekend. Our roster remains:
Barthez
Venus Desailly Melchiot G. Neville
Scholes Dyer Beckham Hamann
Yorke Viduka
Transfers Remaining: 14 SWŁ Remaining: 90,000
Any suggestions for this weekend? Should we trade Yorke in anticipation of his suspension? I like Yorke for Heskey, who's been "en fuego" (as we say on the baseball boards). I've been out of it lately, so that's all I can really think of now. Okay people, it's your turn. El Tel, Sigh, VIDevilRays, Peregrine, Roo, Frank p...(sorry if I missed anyone) |

Maybe Hamann to Kewell? Harry should be ok after his first run and Dietmar has been a bit ordinary of late. I say keep Yorke for this game, maybe go Viduka to Heskey.

Viduka to Phillips (Sunderland will rock Middlesborough losers)

Of course, you need to free money for that move ;-)

yea-Bubba-I like the Phillips move too. Or keep Yorke for that matter but I'm going with the Heskey/Phillips combo. Can anyone suggest a Defender for me in place of Silvinho? Or keep him?

I'm content with this team again.Phillips saved my bacon with 221 on Monday but if it takes a double trade to get him-no way.Viduka was sensational in Rome. VID,Melchiot is value,Cole will be Silvinho's direct replacement.I've moved to Gray of Soonerlan because 'Boro are useless, and I'm afraid that not even one of my training sessions can turn around a team with no forwards;-) El Tel

Just read an article on Soccernet that Yorke is beginning his three match ban for the Worth Cup send off and won't be playing tomorrow.
Don't know if its true or not but just a heads up.

Bubba,
Sorry I have been on peregrinations for the last week. It seems to me that we have not been giving you enough advice immediately after Premier league action. Thus, today's changes were fairly obvious based on yesterday's performance/lack of it. However, I agree with El Tel that the team is fundamentally sound. The only suggestions that I would have are the obvious ones - getting out of Yorke and Hamann, based on Liverpool sucking today.
There are no "slam dunk" picks for next weekend's games with lots of local derbies. However, I suggest dumping Hamann for Pires and Yorke for Henry.

Bubba,
I forgot to add that other "comers" to keep an eye on are Sol Campbell, and Sam Dalla Bonna. I hate to mention Michael Owen because whenever I do he always appears to get injured! However, he is back playing and is really cheap. Marcus Stewart scored the winner against the Reds and will undoubtedly jump in price tomorrow.

Take note that Coventry and Southampton play 2 games next week - perhaps we should load the team with players from Southanmpton (can't see any reason to buy Coventry ;)

Thanks,Sigh, for the heads-up;might not have noticed what with work and an Xmas lunch. Not sure I agree with you about Coventry:they looked solid last outing.I think they can draw at Derby and beat the Saints.I will be mulling over double points from Hedman,Konjic(he's huge),Thompson,Bellamy and Hadji(playing up front).Pity Carsley is not in the game.
