Ok, somebody help me out here. My claim for Funaki is official (dropping Christy in the process) but where do I go in the new waiver priority: before Farn or after him?
My claim was before his so I think I'd go down to 9th and he would be at 10th now but he made his claim official before mine so does that mean I go to 10th?

But here's one thing I would like to point out. In my opinion if somebody forgets or is too lazy to post that their claim is official and in that time somebody else has a claim, waits 24hrs, it becomes official, and then posts before the original person has made his official then the 2nd person would go before the 1st in waiver priority. Kind of a "reward" for being lazy or forgetting. That makes it the responsibility of the owner to do his job and make claims official.
In this case I didn't wait 24hrs because I was first in priority so Bond would be 9th.

There would have to be a grace period of some sort though Farn, IMHO. We don't have the advantage of Yahoo etc. to do it from an automated standpoint, and we all have other things that tend to distract us from Fantasy Sports on occasion. Just a thought.

I don't know anything about spite or what anyone deserves, but as far as I understand it, there is a 24 hour waiver period even for the person with #1 priority.
I'm also pretty sure that we decided that a claim can be cancelled at any time during the waiver period. So if Wiggs was just claiming Puder for points he thought he'd get tonight, I think he should be allowed to cancel the claim if he should want to.
Of course doing that, in my opinion, dumps him right onto Kev's active roster for this week, since thats where he would have been anyway.

Actually, he inserted Puder into his starting lineup on time for this week. The problem is that Puder doesn't become his until tomorrow, after week 16 rosters are set. I'm not sure if Wiggs should go back to his Week 15 lineup since the lineup he submitted is different from his roster or the lineup he set this week with The Rock starting in place of Puder, since Puder will occupy Rock's former roster spot.

wait a minute, number 1 priority has always become offical at the time of the pick up. Every single time someone has used #1 priority it was official immediately. I would not have taken him if that was the case.
I guess if that is the case I will cancel my claim on puder and I think i should be forced back into the line up i used last week. I had no intention of starting The Rock, nor have I started him all season.

I don't remember the 24 hour rule specifically, but I don't think anyone claimed this close that I can remember. It makes sense that it would be that way I guess. In yahoo if you are number 1 you still wait til the waivers are cleared or whatever.
I guess it would be fair to just use last weeks roster as its almost like this one didn't exist so the Rock being there wouldn't happen.
BUT i also don't think he started Kenzo and I don't think its really fair to screw him like that cause he obviously would have started him this week with the PPV match. I propose that - its fair if we just let him pick Maven or whoever is on the bench instead of Puder since Maven/Sylvan doesn't go til tomorrow anyway.
On another note. I read that Angle came out and did an Angle Invitational and called out Santa who easily taps out... if that actually counts as a PPV win that sucks, but I am unsure if there was a ref and a bell involved or not.

I want to apologize to kev for being out of line. I'm just frustrated at what appears to be your claim of Puder because somebody else was claiming him. I just couldn't understand why you wouldn't claim him earlier if you wanted him. You had over a week to do so if you wanted his PPV points. Or why you didn't claim Mike Mizanin. But anyway, my apologies. Keep up the great work.
One question, shouldn't Goatlocker get a chance to claim Puder? Maybe he didn't cause wiggs claimed him before Goatlocker had a chance. Cause if Goat wants him he has priority over kev. Just something to consider before handing him over to kev.

My understanding of how this pans out:
Kev's claim and posted Week 16 Roster are intact. Kev gets Puder's PPV points and any other points Puder might score this week.
I would not have supported Goatlocker claiming Puder after the end of Kev's 24 hour waiver period simply because he didn't know at the time that he could have claimed him.
There were some similar potential issues raised when we discussed whether we should allow claims to be cancelled. I think the prevailing opinion at the time (or maybe it was just the opinion I remember) was that there clearly is the potential for unseemly behavior with the ability to cancel a waiver claim, but that the members of this league can be trusted to abide by the honor system and not play so cutthroat. Just using this case as an example (and what I'm about to describe obviously is not what took place here), Wiggs and Kev could potentially have conspired to keep Goatlocker from trumping Kev's Puder claim by consciously doing exactly what happened - Kev claims Puder and before anyone else puts in a claim Wiggs trumps it, discouraging anyone ahead of Kev to bother any further. Wiggs then cancels his claim after Kev's 24 hour period but before his own 24 hour period expires, locking Puder onto Kev's roster, uncontested.
But I really don't think that with this group of people we have, that this is a terrible concern. In spite of a few heated disagreements over the couple of years of our existance, I believe there is a good deal of trust among us that collusion and such dubious practices are lines that we do not cross.

I agree MITH. This is a very trustworthy group so I doubt that could ever become an issue.
One thing we need to address is going back and awarding all those points to Puder for the TE segments. It would go the same as diva segments from the past. He needs to have those points included in his total so that when the end of the season comes those points count towards kev's total in terms of draft position.
Anybody want to go back and do that dirty work? Maybe kev could do it for us. I know it was tedious the last time I tried it.
Oh, and in a couple of days we probably need a mass deletion of posts in this thread to make it look normal again.

I have to admit that for the most part I don't take the time to research dark matches and go through 100 pop up ads to read a lot of rumors as to who will be signed/called up/etc. Thus, typically when someone makes a claim I then try to research who it is and if it's someone I want. It's probably rare I come up with the idea myself, to be perfectly blunt.
Admittedly that is the weakest part of our league is that those more in the know have that disadvantage.

both of my claims were trumped really. Species has a higher priority so I lose my Mike Shane claim. And that claim was in first so my first Todd Shane claim would have had me at #10, which wiggs outranked with his claim.
So I made a fresh claim of Reeves for Todd. I'm stuck holding Richards.
(I'd love to see a rule implemented where people making claims of unknown type wrestlers admit they either have no idea why they are claiming them or that they only decided to look because somebody else had claimed them.)

Nothing personal, Farn. With wiggs' claim you wouldn't have gotten both anyway....hence why I flipped a coin. Kinda like claiming one of the Bashams - who the heck knows which would get more time/points.
FWIW, even I can read Rajah news regarding these guys. And only blind waivers can cure the issue, and that's one where we have yet to come up with a resolution without a platform to take care of waivers automatically.

Farn, you claimed Mike. Then you claimed Todd.
Wiggs claimed Todd knowing that your priority would only hold up for one claim.
Species does not trump your Mike claim. He claimed Chris Park in post 83. We need to keep up the waiver priority, people.
So nothing happens to Farn's waiver priority. Actually, his claim of Todd still would not have been trumped by Wiggs, even after he changed the wrestler to drop.
But the thing is, Farn pulled back his claim of Mike, and instead chose to claim Todd, meaning that Species currently holds the dominant (only) claim on Mike Shane.
Now, here's something to further confuse this, an email I received from Great One at 9:50am: want to do a waiver claim but obviously can't post til late tonight when I get home.
In the interest of moving this along I was wondering if you the league is gonna allow for someone else
to post my claim. I don't see why its a problem, but just wanted to check.
I guess the main risk for me is that you don't check the email or can't get around to posting either but I
guess thats my competitive disadvantage right now.
I cc'd Wiggs cause it mainly impacts him as it was his current claim.
And again, if you don't see this or think someone would have a problem, then I will just put it in later tonight.

Thanks. Kev deserves just as much credit for managing to salvage what looks like a pretty good keeper set after having the disaster of RVD needing surgery right after he traded for him.
Obviously he'd be better off if that didn't happen (and RVD's satus is still unclear) but he's still looking at a stronger keeper set than he was holding just 3 weeks ago. I think I handed over a strong keeper in Reigns.

The terms of a waiver claim are made when the claim is made. You can't go back after the fact and decide who you want to drop based on whether anyone else put in a claim while the waiver period was still active.
I'm sure this has been discussed already. If you thought your first claim was going to get trumped and if Lita is more valuable to you than you should have dropped the same person for both claims.

I didnt think anyone would trump me seeing as the kazarian news was out there 3 days and no one did anything. What happens if no one does claim either, then it doesnt work out because i cant drop the same person 2 times.
Good advise farn maybe I will do that. Not that Lita is doing anything this season anyways.

i was waiting for confirmation on some kazarian news.
even though he attempted to get to Raw last night but transportation issues prevented him from making it, he was in constant contact with TNA as they still wanted him.
