As I watched Smackdown I was thinking the same way about that opening sequence - the main guys in the front of the crowd that he was addressing would've gotten 5 for the segment from me if I was scoring.

I think he didn't give them those points because there was no match. It never started, no bell, no announcement, no anything except the brawl.
