Is it just me, or from the standpoint of our league is the WWE going to hell in a handbasket or WHAT?
- MNM broken up at Judgment Day?!? WTF?!? Whether I own Mercury or not, what is up with that? Nitro and Melina thrown off Smackdown? HUH? Sending Mercury to ECW maybe? They've been the freshest tag team in years! WTF?
From the Smackdown spoilers:
- Lashley pins JBL for US Title. Where the hell did THAT come from? No buildup, just throw together a match.
- So then JBL demands a rematch with Mysterio with the stip that he will leave Smackdown. He loses.......so now JBL's on RAW? Actually I like it, because he delivers some kick ass promos and could use some fresh feuds.....I trust this means that Kennedy and Batista are ready to return....and I guess the clock is ticking on Orton's return. But geezus what the hell is left on SD right now?
- And Benoit is supposed to be taking some time off?
- This whole ECW issue with old ECW guys being primed to perhaps jump back over there - who will be left on the 'main' shows?
Seems 10 times more up in the air than the annual "DRAFT". |

I like how somebody posted completely fabricated spoilers and they were up for the whole day on most sites. I believe you have the correct ones cause the fake one had Mark Henry beating Rey and celebrating with Three 6 Mafia lol...
This is pretty crazy I would say. I am looking for some SD talent, but I am hesitant to trade for ANYONE at this point.

MNM did split. from what i've heard, Mercury has some "personal issues" to attend to, whatever that means.
Benoit is legit hurt, so he may be out for awhile. seperated shoulder i do believe.

Is it too late to merge the shows back into one again? Seems to me that the quality would be enhanced back to where it used to be. I just don't enjoy Smackdown anymore and certainly a lot of others feel the same way.

I read somewhere that Raw might become the Major League (like it is already, lol), Smackdown AAA, ECW AA, and Ohio Valley A, a la baseball. Taking top stars off Smackdown would mirror that thought, and in essence it would combine the two shows----at least as far as top talent is concerned.

yes, Marquis Cor Van tonight was Monty Brown, the Alpha Male, from TNA.
in fact, it was totally bizarro to see Brown vs. Cassidy Reilly in an ECW ring, since both are former TNA guys. and i don't think anyone even knew Reilly had signed with ECW.

Yeah, I noticed that too GO. Nice timing! Although Melina is active too so now you have a roster decision! lol
I saw the highlight clip on ECW.com. I had never seen "The Pounce" before - not bad, at least it's moderately original. The ref had to really scramble to get out of the way, which was hilarious - almost had an inadvertent ref bump!
It wasn't fair that he got the "What?" treatment during his promo, although I like how he mocked the crowd for doing so. I think he'll be a strong addition - too bad it's in the crummy ECW.

from the episode of Raw taped in Italy...
Monday Night Raw opens with Jonathan Coachman on the stage, announcing John Cena vs. Rated RKO tonight. Coachman then introduces Vince McMahon, who rips on the crowd and "fashion city." McMahon introduces Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada. They review destroying ECW champion Bobby Lashley last week at the end of Raw. McMahon promises to destroy Lashley at Backlash and notes that neither Lashley nor Shane McMahon are here tonight. He says that Umaga is here, though, and issues an open challenge for anyone to face the Intercontinental champion. No one comes out. McMahon raises the stakes, saying the title is on the line. No one comes out. McMahon asks if anyone from the audience would like to fight Umaga. A lot of fans raise their hands. An "obvious plant" is called into the ring. McMahon tries to talk to the "fan", who responds to him in Italian. A referee comes down and we have our first match.
WWE Intercontinental champion Umaga vs. ?
After the fan nearly gets a two count, McMahon returns and announces the match is no No Holds Barred. Estrada slaps the fans, who slaps him back. Umaga and Estrade trounce the fan. The building chants for Lashley. Lashley hits the ring and attacks Umaga. McMahon grabs a chair but Lashley blocks it and Vince scampers out of the ring. Lashley drills Umaga with the chair three times, then spears him. Lashley puts the fan on top of Umaga. The fan gets the pin. The fan, announced as "Santino" is the new WWE Intercontinental champion.

WWE Tag Team champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Deuce & Domino
Deuce and Domino capture the belts. During the match, London did a moonsault to the floor but missed. Paramedics checked on him, so they did an injury deal to build to the finish. They hit the Crack 'Em In The Mouth on Kendrick for the win.

The powers that be decide that Gordy and Deacon will be a new redneck tag team on Smackdown. "But wait", exclaims one executive, "Deacon isn't a redneck - wtf do we do?!?".
"Easy", retorts another executive, "we'll do a vignette where the Deacon falls down a manhole cover, two other guys con that dumbass redneck Gordy into going down after him". As the rest of the decision makers listen intently, he continues....."when Gordy gets down there, the Deacon will appear unconscious. Gordy shakes him awake, the Deacon will say 'Why, howdy neighbor' like a redneck and BOOM! Your redneck tag team is born!".
Thunderous applause erupts within the room.

two of the worst matches ever. EVER.
both are worth keeping on - at least in the background - because the announcing is simply brilliant, particularly in the second one - i laughed solid for 15 minutes with such gems as:
“One of the biggest matches this year…as you can see, this match, being held in somebody’s living room, and both people that showed up said it was the greatest night of action they had ever seen…”
“don’t be fooled by the bland haircut, the bland clothes, and the bland valet, this man is a monster of professional wrestling.”
“there is a capacity crowd here, of 12.”
“These two have hated each other for all of 30 seconds so far!”
and, of course, the classic, “I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MOVE LIKE THAT IN MY ENTIRE.......NINE MINUTES OF COMMENTATING!!!!”
there is so much amazing announcing in this match, you could pretty much put the video in the background and just listen…”oh my god! There is somebody clapping for him!!!”

The second one is freakin' incredible----a must see--er, hear! The english announcer is so sarcastic and serious at the same time........GREAT stuff!!!!!
I don't want to steal to many more of his lines.....but he had so many, it doesn't matter:
"Looking like a poor man's Jeff Hardy......but don't be fooled, he IS a poor man's Jeff Hardy."
"He lost his afro for this match to make him more aerodynamic!"

The 2007 WWE Draft continued today on WWE.COM starting at Noon. Originally it was supposed to be on Wednesday however the big angle with McMahon exploding on Monday Night RAW (damn, that sounds like a Heroes type of thing) took the most importance on the WWE website and the supplemental draft was pushed back to today. Going to RAW are Paul London & Brian Kendrick, The Sandman, Daivari, William Regal and Jillian Hall. Going to Smackdown! are Kenny Dysktra, Hardcore Holly, The Major Brothers, Victoria and Eugene. Going to ECW are Viscera, The Miz and Johnny Nitro.

It just shows how weak RAW was when they have to keep getting all the top draft picks (Booker, Kennedy, Lashley, London/Kendrick, Regal etc)... and their main title fueds recently were Cena/Khali and Santino vs. ?... and Cade/Murdoch vs Hardy's who weren't even a RAW tag team! lol...

And wtf is the Sandman on RAW? and Holly leaving ECW where he was actually a pretty good fit?! And Victoria to a show with no womens belt?
Miz and Nitro were certainly be a "Hollywood" type duo in ECW I predict. A (very) poor mans RKO... but with the potential to grow. They need to introduce the TV Title already to give the mid-card something to shoot for.
