Notes:
- Gave Duggan "promo" points for being drug out onto the ramp bloodied.
- Counted the main event as a DQ win for Michaels. As usual, one on two tag matches were scored as a singles match for the one, and tag match for the 2.
Comments:
- Edge/Orton were intense and good. Them having the DX signs taken away was a nice touch. Great heat from the crowd all night. Loved how they were "taking out" everyone who might come to Shawn's aide. I love that they are positioning themselves to "run" RAW with HHH sidelined. - HBK was outstanding --- and the superkick on Grisham was freakin' GREAT! Great intensity by Shawn. I know he has wanted some time off but obviously RAW needs him right now - More Melina in the ring. Let her get better because she's good (for a chick) on the mic and something fresh in the women's division.
Otherwise........it was a LAME freakin show! The contract signing and mini-brawl did not hype up the rumble enough at all. Hell the entire show did NOTHING to promote the Rumble it seemed! The McMahon/Trump stuff is complete $hit. Vince, I know he's your friend and the king of self-promotion (well, perhaps after you) but I don't care.....tell me why I should buy the Royal Rumble!
The Masters "official word from Vince McMahon" letter saying the Masterlock has never 'officially' been broken was actually mildly amusing, but as much as I kind of like Masters the act is running old and they need to do some new things. The VKM/Torrie/Carlito/Khali thing was crap. I like the Torrie 'damsel in distress' angle to do stuff with Carlito but NOT with Masters or Khali! Did Carlito get caught fondling Vince's mistress??!?? wtf did he do to get in the doghouse?
Edge/Orton/Shawn = very good. Otherwise, crap.

Agreed. Never seen the "take the signs away" idea... nice innovate touch. My guys are always in these freaking contract signings. I hate them! as one reviewer said... did Carlito pis$ in Vince's coffee or something?!

Re: contract signing
True it sucks, but it's a "break even" in terms of the standings, since I have Umaga and I'm not getting jack squat either. It's been funny that way as Mike D has Edge so he and Orton pretty much 'break even' every week....and then with all of the DX stuff you and I would 'break even' between HBK and HHH before the injury.

Triple H is the "King of Contract Signings" lol... thats why I mentioned it. If there were an official category, I bet he'd be the all-time CS leader.
He must have passed the baton to Cena on his way out!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's been scoring these shows for the past month or so. Very much appreciated.
Hopefully when things slow down for me I can get back to even knowing who's wrestling (I discovered last night HHH got hurt and is out) and trying to score too.

Haas got 15 (Same as Shelton?) - correct? The only reason I remembered that is because of our mini-bet about playing Haas/Cade/Elijah Burke for Goat Locker. Good call on that by the way (Sitting Cade over Haas)

I think that was a singles match and Haas was just in Sheltons corner. If I were a betting man that means Haas vs. Shad new Monday so leave him in the lineup.
And why does RKO have the belts anyway?! shouldn't these guys be fighting over it?
