Let's make it quick and start before the Royal Rumble. Everyone can be drafted, not only current WWE employees. You can draft commentators, managers... everyone! You must choose 3 Raw superstar, 3 Smackdown superstar and ONE extra superstar (Vince McMahon, Steve Autin, Goldberg, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, Barry Horowitz...). Who starts first? Nice question. Any idea? |

Is there a page at WWE where we can see a list of current stars on each show? That might be helpful when the higher rounds come around.
As for who chooses first I would say just use a randomizer to assign the pick #'s.

Ok with the randomizer thing: the lists of all the superstars can be found on smackdown.wwe.com and raw.wwe.com.

we never really did decide what to do with injuries and waivers and such.
i also think we should be able to draft a "bench" of three guys, who we only earn points for once they're activated and someone else is benched - deadline being sundays at noon.

What about
3 RAW + 1 benched 3 SD + 1 benched 1 FREE AGENT
?
Anyway, an injured wrestler can always do interviews, run-ins etc.

i think your bench oughta consist of three guys - whether you want them to be raw guys, smackdown guys, or free agent guys is your choice.
maybe three raw, three smackdown, and three bench guys?
and obviously, if a guy switches from raw to smackdown (and vice-versa) you'll have to adjust your roster accordingly, whether it be through your bench or the waiver wire...
still tossing ideas out there, Tree piece

Barry Horowitz? ROFL One of my fave scrub heels.
You know, it's kinda funny. Having only watched Raw and Smackdown for quite some time now, I never really saw any "Barry Horowitzes"....then one day I stumbled onto Velocity on a Sunday, and voila'! Scrubs for the midcarders to destroy!

this is true - which i why i was thinking the bench would be a good place for strategic placement. there are a lot of guys out there like The Rock and Stone Cold and Goldberg who are not currently active, but could be huge soon.
additionally, less than a year ago, guys like Brock Lesner, Batista, John Cena, Shelton Benjamin, and a few others were here: Ohio Valley Wrestling
i remember watching Wrestlemania with some friends last year at The World, and while checking out the program, i saw a photo of Lesner. i told my pals that within a year he would be a HUGE WWF star. i was off by about 9 months. :o)
there are a slew of OVW guys on that roster who will be WWF stars in a short while. i think we oughta be able to load our bench up with next year's Lesners. :o)

I like the idea of waivers. That way you don't have to keep tabs on OVW. And screw the 3 from Raw, 3 from Smackdown crap. That's what it is... crap.
10 participants (approx), let's go with 5 rounds. That's 50 wrestlers which is more than sufficient. Even Hardcore Holly will probably be drafted.

THK - actually, it's a long, confusing, and stupid story, but to make it short - they did a "roster split" and some wrestlers are RAW only, and the others are Smackdown only.
it made a watered-down product even worse. don't get me started.

I kinda agree with the brand extension stuff. It gives more space to underused talent and allows WWE to make longer worldwide tours. In this moment, Smackdown is the #1 show, without the shadow of a doubt.

I have a order with the 11 managers we have now, but i want to know if people want it done this way before i announce it.
As far as trading i think if you want to trade a pick it should be fine to just do it, if you are trading actually wrestlers then you should need 4 vetos to not allow a trade. I think it will be to hard to get enough approvals because sometimes people dont check every day.

What about becoming more professional and creating a "triumvirate" to take care of the trades and the controversial questions (EG: did *someone* turn face or not? - I couldn't do this because I just watch the shows one week after you.)? Since I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD, I decide that these three guys would be Tree, Wiggs and Blue Hen. I'll take care of the rules and I'll update the wrestlers lists.

If you look at the two websites, there are 78 wrestlers listed. Some of whom we know are retired, semi-retired, not wrestling. If we are going with 12 teams, I think 6 wrestlers per might be a good number. If we go with 9 per, we need 108 wrestlers - Where are the other 30 plus going to come from?
Just some thoughts.
Would prefer a slow draft here, but will make things work however we decide.

I think the suggestion of 6 stars and one free agent is easiest. Stars include anyone listed on either roster (at their respective sites) and Steiner, since he apparently isn't listed yet. As far as I know, he's the only one who is a wrestler, has appeared on Raw and/or Smackdown and isn't listed. Guys like Goldberg and Austin should qualify as free agents.

How about a time limit for the draft. 2 hours? Anyone who isn't around for his pick and didn't leave a queue could be given the highest priced star remaining according to the list in post 97 of this thread. If two wrestlers at the same price are highest default to alphabetical order. Otherwise I doubt we finish two rounds today.

We could simply just divide into 2 divisions of 6 and see which divison is strongest.
Also, how long will the "season" run? The only offseason in wrestling is the last week of december when most wrestlers are given a week off to be with family. That is a year from now. Is there a point where the "season" will end and a new one will start (ie. resetting of stats)?

MITH - if you were standing next to dawn marie in bra and panties, you'd probably look like you had an umbrella stuffed in your pants too. heck, even PGunn might look that way!
peace, Tree i've stood next to dawn marie when she was clothed, before she had that awful boob job. that was hot enough...

Sorry guys but in Italy't was dinner time, here I am now. I saw I'm number seven, it's quite good to me...and I prefer 6-3.

i actually emailed her after her boob job, and told her she shouldn't have gotten it. she thanked me for my opinion, told me she liked her natural breasts better, but this was something she needed to do for her career!

On the WWE site there aren't updated lists of the Raw and SD rosters. For example, no trace of Nunzio (Little Guido on ECW), Scott Steiner, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, B2...
Just two notes about the rules:
- A vignette is EVERYTHING that takes place behind the scenes. HBK jumping on HHH and superkicking Flair (Raw before Armageddon) gives all the three of them two points. Even Al "Charisma" Wilson takes point for that stupid wedding. - The "run-in" category includes interferences from people ALREADY out of the ring. - A bikini, rap or whatsoever contest counts as a vignette. If for example Tazz announces it, he gets points too.
More as they come to my mind :)

Oops, I meant: the bikini and rap contests count as IN RING PROMOS.
