Sending out a possible feeler, depending upon what happens with the Randy Orton situation. Details are still very fuzzy, and quite possibly the WWE are still deciding what (if anything) to do about Randy Orton's alleged hotel room thrashing......but the possibility exists that Orton could be suspended or taken off of TV for a period of time.

This could make him a top target for a rebuilding team - a la HHH last year. If he misses some time he would be unlikely to be your top scorer. So not only would he likely qualify as a keeper but a lower score could improve your draft standing.

Again, I'm probably not doing this immediately, but as news becomes clearer or there is an announcement, I could be interested in moving Orton for a solid mid-card guy. I view Orton as a main event scene guy, but if he's suspended then I recognize that his value goes down, so I can't expect a main event scene guy back.....but I can't take a fringe guy back either, so I'd be looking for a solid, on-TV-every-week kind of guy who might get in a few PPV's.

Just planting the seed. Looking forward to a great season with some new friends and the return of a REALLY old one! ;-)

Well it looks like, for now, Orton has escaped the chopping block......although his punishment is rumored to be an assignment on ECW or Smackdown. I wonder how that will go down. Can you see an Edge vs. Orton "loser leaves RAW" match? Or, maybe some buildup to the next PPV with the loser leaving RAW type stip?

It looks like wiggs gets f**ked if the rumors of RVD walking away upon his contract expiring are true. He had a contending team and that might be hard to rebound from.

Meanwhile, Great One sprints out to a big lead with the McMahons (why did I not hop on that for an easy score?)......will he get the debut he clearly needs, or will the McMahons continue to wrestle for a couple of months, dragging all of this crap out??

Hopefully now that the Wrestlemania rematches have happened, they can debut somebody new to shake up some new storylines... I certainly need that to happen in the next couple weeks if I'm gonna be able to capitalize on the big start.

Well the Backlash results certainly don't bode well for that. You have HBK pinning Cena in a classic, followed by Cena "falling" on Orton for the pin before Shawn could break it up....so not exactly a dominating win for Cena, so I think that angle continues.

UT and Batista go to a draw so I can't expect that to go away.

The ECW belt is anyone's guess.....one has to assume it goes back to Lashley --- but how funny would it be to have Kennedy use his MITB on Mr. McMahon??? lol

Obviously the IC belt is going to go through something, although the rumors for Marella are good for me, in that it won't be a total flash in the pan storyline.

The US Title feud with MVP has been pretty good, but you can't continue to go down that road. Maybe that's where Orton gets injected.

There are 3 words you never want to see in the same sentence with one of your guys - Dr, James and Andrews... so Cliff, look away.

WWE.com reports that Bobby Lashley suffered a shoulder injury at Backlash last night and has been sent to Alabama to be diagnosed by Dr. James Andrews.
Apparently Lashley has been having some nagging shoulder pain for awhile now but was gutting it out.

Yikes.

But they send a lot of guys to him and it's not always serious. Let's keep our fingers crossed because Lashley has some solid potential and it would be a shame to have him lose time he could use to develop his character.

As an aside....you guys ever wonder how much coin Andrews pulls down in a year?!? It's not like all of MLB and the WWE squeeze him down like your local HMO! It's gotta be 7 figures.

Unfortunate about Lashley and RVD ... but hey, if the RVD thing has to go down, I know who can slide into the originals team: Balls!

Actually, Punk is already lined up to betray the new breed and assume that roll. Hey, I bet they planned that!

WWE.com reports that Bobby Lashley suffered a shoulder injury at Backlash last night and has been sent to Alabama to be diagnosed by Dr. James Andrews.

Ironically I think I told Greg this, but when I first went to a new orthapedic surgeon about my bad hip, in the lobby was a large black guy I knew looked familiar. At first I thought maybe he was a Louisville football player but I was not certain. Then when they called "Mr Lasley please come on back" I realized he was from OVW.

This was about 2 years ago I think and I remember listening to the med techs talking about having to maybe get an MRI for elbow and shoulder for him as well as standard x-rays. I am guessing his shoulder is a chronic long coming thing he has been working thru. Kinda like how Victoria never got knee surgery but just braced it and did rehab.

WWE World champion The Undertaker has suffered a torn bicep tendon and is scheduled to see a doctor (I'm guessing James Andrews, since they are in Birmingham, Alabama for TV tonight) today to have the injury examined.

Time for Finlay to take the title!

Is Kennedy's money in the bank case good for any title or just the RAW one? If it's for any belt, seems like now would be a good time to have him get a cheap title switch with Taker's injury.

Other than that, I have to agree with Farn. It's time for Kane to have a title again! It's been too long for the ol' fellow.

Trade talk:

I have 8 legit point scorers right now. Batista, Orton, Matt Hardy, Umaga and Marcus Cor Von are my solid core. After that, I have:

The Boogeyman - back on Smackdown and involved in a tag team storyline with Kane. On TV 2 weeks in a row and getting good reviews for comedic value with Kane.

Santino Marella - the former Boris Alexiev is your surprise IC Champ. Most wrestling news sites have said that he is due for a push, or at a minimum a continued program with WWE. He's defending his title this Monday on RAW.

Brian Majors - Part of a new tag team on ECW. Given how thin ECW's roster is right now (just LOOK at it) you literally only have:

Faces: Lashley, ECW Originals, CM Punk and Balls Mahoney (glorified jobber)
Heels: Snitsky, "The New Breed" and Stevie Richards (glorified jobber)

One would have to deduce that they can only do SO MUCH "New Breed vs. ECW Originals" without mixing it up a bit. These guys have a good look and have talent in the ring.

I am interested in packaging 2 or even 3 of these wrestlers together for a solid upgrade. Those short of qualified scorers should let me know!

In a further update on Shawn Michaels, reports indicate that his knees have been bothering him for quite some time and he was hoping to take time off this year to get the surgery he needed done. Those plans had to be changed when Triple H got injured. With that being said, he is not expected to take any time off unless things become very serious. At this point, Michaels is still on for tomorrow night’s Judgment Day Pay-per view.

please be true.

Yeah, I like the trade for both sides.

Kozlov was supposed to be the next callup (I mean currently, not in January) but supposedly is STILL not ready. This means one of two things... he'll debut anyway ala Boris/Santino who wasn't ready... or they will cut him loose. But either way you get some finality the next month or so. He's the lottery ticket portion of this trade.

Draft Pick - He moves up a solid 20 spots in the draft, with ECW now involved the first 20 picks are decent scorers so thats a good jump.

Waiver - And with the #1 waiver, you are guaranted... well whoever comes along at any time you want. And with this draft coming next week - that is likely to be sooner than later. If you get someone decent, you are already even for the Nitro portion of the trade and the pick + Kozlov is gravy.

Johnny Nitro - BIG TIME in the doghouse right now. Getting pinned clean on Heat and by Cade/Murdoch is not a good sign. But he is just too talented to not come around. I hope. With any luck, he'll get sent back to Smackdown where he can just get back to work and shut his mouth.

Ok, so I'm in an interesting position. I have 8 guys on my roster with value. So I have tradeable pieces. What I don't have is a #1 pick.

Dave Taylor

Thought this was interesting.

Hey people, this is The Sandman. I think now that all of you have heard about World Wrestling Entertainment releasing me from my contract. Please, I have recieved emails and comments with hurtful things to the WWE such as not watching their programs and doing stuff to them where they lose a fan base...PLEASE DO NOT DO ANYTHING HARMFUL TO THE WWE. I am VERY upset about my release but I am even more upset if you guys take it out on them. I have a great attitude towards WWE, Vince McMahon, Stephanie, HHH, and Johnny Ace...I will make damn sure I am back in the WWE one day. WWE treated me well, I had a great time on WWE Raw and on ECW on SciFi...I loved every moment of it and the wrestling business is and has always been one big family combined with entertainment purposes. I appreciate all of your messages and all and I can not thank you guys enough! I will be back in WWE one day again...count on it.

Another note to all of the people who want to book me for indy shows...Joe will handle it and here are the requirements:

- For one appearance, I need at least $200.00 before the event and $1,250.00 during/after the event.
-Make check(s) payable to:
Joe Richardson (FOR: Sandman)
P.O. Box 390
Dallas, Texas 75209

- Must pay car rental... (Note: Sandman will take care of hotel, food, plane ticket, etc.)
- Sandman only appears thru Sunday-Thursday.
- Sandman and/or Joe will notify you if your booking has been accepted thru email, MySpace, and/or letter.
- Sandman is unable to appear due to former WWE contract until: October 12, 2007.

Also, if you want to book me for an autograph session, here is what you do:
- Send an email to Sandman on MySpace or send Joe a letter to the P.O. Box listed above, AHEAD of time.
- Sandman only appears if the booker PAYS IN FULL for a car rental.
- The cost of an autograph session is: $200.00 per hour.
- If Sandman is injured, the responsible person is the man/woman who booked Sandman for an autograph session.

- Sandman will ONLY APPEAR up to 5 hours. IF AUTOGRAPH SIGNING IS MORE THAN 5 HOURS...YOU WILL BE CHARGED $100.00 FOR SANDMAN APPEARING OVER-TIME.
- Sandman will give you a FREE autograph, up to 30 pictures with you, your friends, and/or family, and give you a ticket to his next indy show if available...

-SANDMAN IS CURRENTLY ATTENDING NO AUTOGRAPH SIGNINGS UNTIL: October 12, 2007.

lifted from JR's blog

- There have been a fair amount of comments here regarding Booker T leaving the WWE or not. Thus far I would say that Booker’s absence from TV has zilch to do with an alleged “resignation.” Until Booker or the WWE makes this “rumor” official, I have serious doubts that we have seen Booker for the last time on WWE programming. Being north of 40 it might serve Booker well to slow down his road schedule somewhat, but I can’t see the Houston native hanging up his boots just yet. However, that is a question that can only be addressed by one man (Booker) and he has yet to make that announcement. Personally, if I were Booker I would continue to wrestle and make the cash for as long as my body and my mind say “do it”. This matter will most likely be resolved one way or another within the next couple of months or so. Until then, all one hears is rumor, unless it is from Booker himself or the WWE in an official press release.

So who will be in the title match? Orton certainly deserves it, but who will his opponent be? On RAW HHH seems one obvious choice, but he has a match....you could try Kennedy, but he just lost to the Champ last week.

Edge?

Undertaker??

How about they add Orton to HHH vs Umaga... make it a 3 way for the title.

Or the winners of HHH vs. Umaga and Orton vs. Kennedy. Or a 4 corner with them.

I think its a bit much for Y2J to come right back into that big of a match, I can't imagine he's in great ring shape right now.

I do feel like there will be some sort of DQ for Punk against Viscera. He can't realistically pin him, can he?

Kind of sucks it'll have a screwjob ending after Punk gets a huge ovation and reaction from his Chicago (hometown) PPV debut. There was an opportunity here to put on a great athletic (or even hardcore) type match that the crowd would go absolutely nuts for (like Angle in Pittsburgh) and instead it'll be a slow-plodding snoozefest I expect with 10 minute long bear hugs. I can see it now. Ugh... wasted opportunity.

Speaking of Angle in Pittsburgh, I was at the Unforgiven PPV immediately after 9/11 when they gave the belt to Angle over SCSA in Pitt. (I think it was like 9/22, we were worried they wouldn't let us fly)

A little tid bit of info from your friend, Greg Rude.

I can't believe they put the belt on HHH already. How on earth does it not make 100 times more sense to put it on Orton as a transitional champ in order to build up a lot of heat for the eventual title change? Geeeeez.

Punk with the DQ win as expected. 18+12+12=42. What happens if CM Punk ONLY cuts a promo, TYING him exactly with Cena?!??!????!???!?

Just read what Species said ... what if 2 guys by some very very strange chance ended up tied for pts on the same team?

The only thing I can think of is use the non-scoring week as a tie-breaker?

Well, we all know the high scorer is removed from a team. If both guys tie I would think you would maintain the letter of the rule and remove both guys from the team.

:)

(we may have to have a real discussion on this because Punk only cutting a promo is a real possibility)

Yes they pushed Taker/Kane + MVP/Hardy to Smackdown. MVP & Hardy had a Pizza eating contest that was disgusting. At the end Hardy puked on MVP. I could barely watch, that stuff literally makes me sick.

lol Farn. At the very end it was pretty interesting, but that's sad when you get excited about 2 apes climbing a couple of walls.

NICE! Now I get what you guys were saying about 3 Championship Matches in 1 night.

Good (and obvious, in hindsight) booking. HHH does NOT look weak, Orton gets the sneaky "Edge like" cheap title, and gets to dodge HHH for a while before dropping the belt.

Thank goodness Hardy/Batista have a good lead on Orton!

rivals collide

Just announced moments ago, ECW Champion CM Punk will battle rival John Morrison live tonight on ECW on Sci Fi. But, after Big Daddy V's attack at No Mercy, is Punk in any shape to compete? Story...

I've got to admit that is a pretty crushing blow to GO. Not only to lose a healthy keeper but his favorite wrestler who he has followed for years. Yeowch. Plus it goes back to where he has now been f**ked over two seasons in a row by the shows AFTER the last PPV of our season -- he lost last season's title at RAW via an out-of-nowhere Hardy's Tag Title win, and now Punk as a keeper at the last ECW.

But those are the breaks.....torn pectorial muscles, murders, steroids -- many teams have been screwed over at times, but yeah this one hurts.

It should make next season pretty damned interesting though.

I'd like to point out that PRIOR to Wrestlemania last year I said that I thought the season should end at Wrestlemania... the Hardy's winning the titles for absolutely no reason - in a completely random new fued the next night on RAW only illustrated the point I was making.

I think it was probably via email discussion but I noted it here...

And yes, losing Punk is really going to put a damper on my enthusiasim for the league. He's the main reason I watch WWE and if Tree gets him I'll never get him back. I traded Lashley for him straight up months before he actually debuted because I figured I would have him his entire career.

I guess the only positive is that I will have Cena for Season 11 and probably the subsequent season. If somehow I get lucky with a few guys... (ala Vince and Shane in the last round last year) that could set up a dynasty that could rival Wiggs threepeat.

just so you know, I plan on making a bit of a come back next season. I thought this was my year with benoit, hbk, and rey,but that didnt work the way i had hoped. I should get the 5th and 6th overall pick in this years draft, not that it means that much this season.

That may be true, and incredibly he was the top overall scorer for our entire league. But I just don't see that happening again. No reason he can't lead an individual team though I guess.

Wiggs - off the top of my head I'd say yourself, Farn and Tree are in really good shape. And Cliff got to keep Lashley (a well timed injury for him I guess) so thats something strong to build around.

Species and myself will regress after a big 1 year run. This Punk/Cena thing for me and CorVon and Beniot for him were HUGE swings in depth etc.

First of all, the over/under on Teddy Hart was 2 months. And I took the under - looks like I was WAY ahead of myself.

- There are not a lot of details right now, but it appears as if Teddy Hart and WWE have parted ways. With Hart's departure from the company it looks as if the entire planned Second Generation Hart Foundation angle will be scrapped. There should be more on this story soon.

- Hart joined WWE for another stint in developmental months ago. Reports were that there would be a "Second Generation Hart Foundation" group formed and the group did end up forming in developmental with Hart, Harry Smith, TJ Wilson, Nattie Neidhart and Ted DiBiase Jr. The group, mainly Hart, Smith and Neidhart, were to be brought up to the Smackdown roster soon but with Hart gone, the whole angle may be dropped.

Re: Hart Foundation -- well, most of the Canadian contingent and most hard core fans know of the Harry Smith/Nattie Neidhart part of things, and that TJ Wilson has been with them forever....I wonder if Teddy being a part of it was THAT important.

It looks like Matt Hardy will be my #1 scorer, and I'm not sure I should be happy or not. Pretty impressive season from him without winning an individual belt. He had a tag team run w/Jeff and now this MVP deal.....but man did he have a great year. I guess I should be thrilled to keep a main eventer like Batista, but he just hasn't been the same in a while (compared to when he first went to Smackdown) and I don't think the fans are as behind him as before.
