Probably not. The odds of Species, Mr. Nice Guy, and Goatlocker picking, and then picking again, in a short period, are slim. When it gets back to Farn we'll speed it up.

Considering we won't finish this draft til Wrestlemania it won't be too hard to score points for the Royal Rumble. Guaranteed positive points for that PPV.

Just a suggestion, but after 5 rounds, when most people will have their starters in place, have everyone involved email a rankings list, and just draft through the rankings....should quicken things.

Blue Hen in da house! So who has the best "team" so far? Some good ones forming.

I'm starting to think that drafting 8 or 9 players may be too much. There would be almost no free agents (exceptions of Ohio Valley, and Jarrett's league). There would therefore be minimal roster changing. Even 8 x 12 peopleis 96 wrestlers. Just a thought.

We had 8 teams of 8 last time and that was probably too many. Even Howard Finkel was drafted. But you should have seen the look on the face of the guy who drafted Hulk Hogan when he signed...

I'm leaning towards 6. I just think 8 is too many. 6 x 12 is 72.

Has anyone thought about going SW style with this? Where you can draft any 6 wrestlers and then make a trade or two a week? That might be more interesting.

Through 2 rounds, I like TarheelKid, Mike D, and Mattingly. And I'll probably like Goatlocker after he makes his pick. Tree has Stone Cold and Orton so he's probably the underdog right now. But you never know.

I have 88 on my ranking sheet. It's in my War Room (lol). That's why I started thinking about the overall number. I don't mind drafting say 96 (8 x 12), but again, not much player movement.

I prefer no number of trades because it is a limiting factor. Rather allow anyone to make trades with other GMs anytime (Yahoo style) as well as waiving and signing people anytim (Yahoo style). Freedom baby, yeah.

Also wondering if it matters how many active spots versus bench spots a GM has. Should someone be forced to activate players? What if someone only wants 2 wrestlers active for a period of time? Should that be allowed?

Screw the bench. I say we draft however many we draft and take it.

88? That's impressive. I can't decide if Christian is a better pick than Kane, let alone if Eric from Tough Enough is better than Sargeant Slaughter.

i think we gotta do 8 guys...or at least 7 - five active, two bench...

personally, i've definitely been thinking i'd have at least two "bench" guys - i wouldn't have taken a couple inactive guys with my early picks i didn't think we'd have some bench space.

there really are plenty of guys out there. There are plenty of guys in the indies right now who, following a logical storyline (oh, right, this is the wwe), could immediately become big players - there are a lot of "relations" in the business that make behind the scenes into reality...

although i wouldn't pick shawn stasiak anywhere, since he's gone back to chiropractic school ("a lifelong dream"), and can't imagine wrestling in the wwe again...

peace,
Tree

otherwise, i'm depending on MITH to email me at work during the day when i'm up...

Some clarification: Shannon Moore doesn't get points for appearing in the main event, he gets them for the run-in.
Anyway, I really like Species' team, I don't know if I made the right choice with John Cena as my second pick but I see him getting a huge push in 2003. Test on the 3rd round in definitely a steal, I got him after Stacy!

So far, I have got

Undertaker
who is coming back with his old
school gimmick and will surely be pushed big time
RVD nothing needs to be said
Rhyno who will be a major player in the near future. He will actually be appearing tonight on Raw FWIW.
now... I only can only keep my fingers crossed that one of my favorites hangs in through one more pick.

evaluation from me - please, don't take anything personally, it's just a game.

Goatlocker- absolutely made the right pick with his first choice (Lesner), but i think made some iffy choices with Rikishi (round 2), and A-Train (round 3)..Grade: C+

Mr. Nice Guy - Steiner is a star, and a great choice. DeMott should see a solid push. Buchanon, i've never been high on him. Grade: C

Species - I hate Triple H, and i'm glad he was picked before i had the choice, because he's a solid pick. Christian always seems to be in the tag title scene, and Matt Hardy could see some gains as heel. Grade: B+

Farn - Booker T - i think he'll get a single belt soon enough. Big Show - Vince is high on him, so he'll get points. And Stacy always good for promo points. Grade: B-

Mike D - Angle should have been number 2 or 3 in my opinion, so this is a great catch. Kane is also always on the scene, Regal is well liked and respected, so he's always on camera. Grade: B+

Wiggs - Batista and Goldberg were two of the biggest four "high-risk, high-return" picks (along with Stone Cold and The Rock). And Misterio is a former World Tag Team Champion, cruiserweight champion, lightweight champion, and Kevin-Nash-using-me-as-a-human-dart champion. Grade: A (if the risks pay off), D (if they don't)

Mist - Michaels is too much of a wussy girl whiney boy. Cena has potential, and i think Test will have short-lived push. Grade: C

Tree - i won't grade myself. Picks: Austin, Orton, Buh-buh Ray Dudley.

Mith - Jericho and Stratus are both always sniffing around a title belt. Stamboli is someone i loved in WCW, so there's a lot of good stuff with this team. Grade: B

Blue Hen - The Rock is a huge risk - hollywood or rasslin'? that will decide it all for this team. Edge is always sniffing around a title belt as well, and Benjamin is one of my favorite studs from the indie scene, before he got the call up. Grade: B+ (if the Rock comes back), C otherwise.

Great One - Undertaker, RVD, and Rhyno. I think, so far, this is the team to beat. if Rhyno comes back successfully, this team is money. Grade: A

Tarheel Kid - only two picks so far - Benoit and Eddy Guerrero are both blue chippers to me. Both guys were high on my depth chart. but his third pick could make or break this team. Grade: Incomplete, but based on TWO rounds, he gets an A.

I am stil nervously awaiting THKs picks because the guy I really want is still available.
He is one of my personal favorites - and while he may not be putting up tons of points, I have already landed some big point guys and now would like to add someone I would love to be cheering for. - followed by my sleepers.
It would make my draft complete with a guy who will produce - but I don't personnally like (Undertaker, although I might like him again if he returns to the old gimmick as expected in the near future) and then guys I enjoy like RVD and Rhyno - who I guess everyone forgot about, but who I almost took 20 picks ago because he IS first round material.

I was on the same wave length when Kidman was picked. I see a good push coming. The guy gets it done in the ring as well, plain and simple, he is one of the better talents on the Smackdown show.

With 3 guys from Smackdown already on our roster, we went with Chris Nowinski. He plays the heel role very well, and is in a good angle now. He runs in on any tough enough match, which makes it great.

I am: I don't agree with my C! Shawn always gets his points, Cena is a hell of a newcomer and Test, like him or not, always gets his victories, promos or run-ins. I'd give me a B, with a "+" now that I drafted Heyman.

I'd give you a B+ if Austin returns soon, a C if he doesn't-

Tree - I appreciated the eval - especially with my B+. I am less schooled at the up-and-comers, so most of my guys we be vets....of course, that is going to hurt me as the draft (and the season) goes on.....

One thing that's amazing....the guy who was #2 in my queue in Round 3 is still there. Makes me believe that my queue sucked!! hahaha

I have to say that your rating for me was accurate. My opinion is:

Sure thing

I think that Batista will be a monster for some time to come and he has to get a title shot sooner or later.

Solid Pick
Rey Misterio even with a knee injury should be back with alot of potential. I see a title in his near future

question marks
Goldberg- Should be main event by WM19, but could be nothing and only wrestle 2 matches. HUGE RISK.

Flair, Depending on scoring, and the come back of the horseman could score alot of points or none. Should be an interesting year.

Sorry for the delay guys. Couldn't get my youngest daughter off her Sponge Bob computer game.

Took the former World Women's champ Jazz. Tough choice at this pick. I narrowed it down to about 4 people and got stuck.

I think that Flair is a Good pick. He's behind HHH and Batista, then half the wrestlers of my Paul Heyman, but he'll fight a match every now and then. Plus, he always gets mic time.

Gail Kim's a great choice. it seems they put the woman's belt on most of the women who actually can wrestle, and she can, although i preferred her as the masked Felina. she also has done a lesbian angle, so she'll be right at home in front of the camera...and she's pretty dang hot...

Tree, you realize that would totally wipe out any free agent pool. Kind of nice to have to decide whether to waive someone and sign someone else, or not. If everyone imaginable is on a roster....well, only trading can be done.
