- Season X opened with a scoring controversy. Kennedy was in the ring when we came on the air. Hardy was next to appear, but he was in the crowd. Never came through a curtain. Orton also never came through the curtain. He snuck out from the side of the ramp. HBK did come down the ramp but with no entrance music. So I won't give anyone the 3 and leave it up to a group vote.
- Umaga and HHH received 5 for the in-ring fight and 2 more for the backstage part.
- I won't be scoring the diva search until there is a winner. I could care less about them and with nobody picking them up its not an issue.
- Maria got 5 for the prematch promo. I gave her 3 for being a valet. Is that allowed?

Fair start for team Farn. 96 points plus the news that Edge will return at Survivor Series. A quick 30 from Balls tomorrow night would solidify a solid start.
Oh, and that Candice fall from the top ropes was scary. She fell right on her head. Hopefully its just a mild concussion (I can't imagine its better than that) and she can bounce back.

The report I read was a concussion for Candice but worse a broken clavicle. I would expect they will push Mickie into a feud with Beth and give up on whatever they might have been foreshadowing between Mickie and Murdoch.

interesting that Candice fell and broke her clavicle, and to end the match Beth dragged her to the middle of the ring by her arm to pin her. I broke my clavicle in college and it was one of the most painful things I have ever felt. When I went to have it xrayed the dr. needed to get my shirt off and I couldnt move my arm at all. Probably not the best way to end that match.

Yeah, either go with the first music (LonDrick and Mickie?) or I guess we can pass on it since there really wasn't a true curtain jerker. I almost think it needs a bit of a stipulation that it needs to happen in the first 15 minutes or something.
Candice? ouch. Video of it on Gerweck website.
Its nice to see everyone active and checking in - this should be a tight season - everyone seems to have 2 studs and then a mix of mid-carders. When everything broke my way last season, I felt bad in a way cause it kind of killed the enthusiasam for the league some.
Zyre - you want ECW tonight?

You're right GO. I know when the Benoit thing went down my enthusiasm went into the toilet. It was exciting to watch RAW with a new season that looks more competitive kicking off.
That Candice bump was BRUTAL. I replayed it several times. Ouch. Poor gal. I'd volunteer to nurse her to health though. :)
I wouldn't have a problem skipping jerker points. Our discussion of it definitely included theme music entrance, so if Hardy's didn't play (or Orton's, or HBK's) then none deserve them. I also kind of agree that if it's not part of the opening segment that it loses it's luster.
I'm ALL for Mickie slipping into Candice's role as top female contender!!!!!!!

On the Candice thing I don't think Beth realized that was where Candice got hurt, probably thinking she was only concussed because during the time they were treating her in the ring you could see her moving the Dr's hand off of that shoulder as it must have been aggravating it. And I will get ECW tonight GO.

Beth realized it because the ref was telling her.
"Former WWE Women's champion Candice Michelle suffered a cracked clavicle - the long bone that connects the arm to the body - during yesterday's Monday Night RAW match against Beth Phoenix and was knocked out cold. Michelle was on the top rope but Phoenix ran the ropes before she was standing still and she landed flat on her face after her feet hit the top rope thus giving her no option how to land. Referee Mike Chioda immediately noticed that something was wrong as she didn't even move and was calling her and touching her hand but the former champ was out unconscious. The fans went "Oooooh" as soon as she hit the ground knowing it wasn't the way she was supposed to land. Chioda instructed Phoenix to end the match and was clearly heard saying "Pull her out and cover her." Phoenix grabbed her by one hand and from her hair as Chioda told her "Cover her, easy" and then said "This is it, this is it" during his three count. A bunch of referees and WWE's Dr Rios stormed the ring and after a few minutes Candice was sitting up however she told them she needed to lay back down. EMTs were called in and she was stretcher out to the backstage area. WWE.COM reports that she will be out for six to eight weeks."

So I'm mad at Beth now.
Did you see HBK screw up the neckbreaker early on during his match against Kennedy? Kennedy slid out and around too fast and slipped right out. Terrible form. HBK was visibly shaking his head and made at Kennedy. You could read his mind, something about "they put me in with this inexperienced guy?? WTF?"

65 points for Team Species with Batista, Palumbo and McCool still to go. I'll have Batista and Orton with title defenses at Cyber Sunday. Umaga with a HHH match and McCool in the Halloween Costume thingy. Mickie was scheduled for that as well.....it looks like they've taken the Beth match off the card, but I'm really hoping Mickie steps up to defend her friend!

That doesn't indicate Chioda diagnosed/indicated there was a collarbone issue, I doubt Beth would have pulled her by the same arm on the side her clav was broken if she knew, unless like me she was hoping she could end the sorry program she has with Candice. Beth needs to be in the ring with someone skilled, not a Skinemax actress that while having improved is still not very good.

She's much improved----that hurricanrana off the top rope was nice, although she almost missed it. It was like a premonition. It was obviously a head/neck injury. The clavicle is pretty dang close to there.
"unless like me she was hoping she could end the sorry program she has with Candice"---LMAO!

I agree Candice has improved more then I ever expected her too but on that show there are still 3 more talented & experienced women wrestlers on the RAW roster in Mickie, Melina, and Jillian and Candice got pushed too far as a wrestler because of her Go Daddy & Playboy ties. On the RAW roster the only women performers she has more wrestling skills then are Lillian and Maria. I just think you get better use out of Beth by putting her with someone that can work a better match and if they win it won't come off like a fluke or lucky victory. Candice has obviously busted her ass to get better but I just would prefer to see another one of my OVW babes in the spot then her :)

Me too. Candice would be better just as a valet who shakes her assets.

Candice has a lot of presence as she really knows how to work the camera, I would like to see her get some stronger mic skills and she would be a nice hawt valet that can bump and be involved in some mixed tags etc.
